  1. You have to admit though this Djibouti guy is very persistent. I'm sure every Somalilander shares the same sentiments when I say criminals have no place in society. They need to face justice.
  2. I don't see any documents to prove your case. So it's not tit for tat. Empty rhetoric coming from Dayniile of all places does not compare to a case that has reached the supreme court.
  3. This is impressive, the way they speak and read Somali language is every impressive. I was very proud and excited to know that young Somali kids here in MN learned great deal from Somali charter Schools. Check out minute 4:30 Mr. Salim is quite the orator! lol

  5. Then that changes everything! That lady he is talking about is from that area Hargeysa/burao region. Kootali=catholic.

There are many pics of the group arriving in Hargeysa, are their any pics of the aviation minister and mayor visiting China? Yes sir!
  12. Originally posted by Meiji: Are you sure they are not clever Chinese tourists who pretend to be government officials loool The aviation minister and the Mayor of the city went on a visit to China last month to meet with this company. The Chinese have now come to observe before work can be started. This has nothing to do w/politics or recognition. This is about rebuilding Hargeysa airport to meet with the international standards. It includes state of the art terminal, longer runways, and Jets will be able to land safely rather than go all the way to Berbera.

How were you effected or suffered from the atrocities of Siyad Barre? and by 'you' I mean the people from Ocadenia? If I can remember correctly, your people played a vital role in helping Siyad Barre carry out atrocities under the code name "MOD". Mind you out of all Somalis, the Somalilanders are the only ones who have actually put the past behind them for they have chosen to end all hostiles among the local clans in Somaliland. On the other hand, the main cause of the lawlessness in Southern Somalia can be directly attributed for lack of clan reconciliation, unity and forgiveness. The clans living there seem to have deep rooted animosity for one another that whenever one of their clansmen is NOT made head of state, they do all in their power to hinder him. Same cannot be said about Somaliland for not only have they reconciled all hostile clans living there, but have also successfully elected Dahir Riyaale Kahin, member of non majority clan and ex NSS cheif as head of state Finally, Justice must prevail and those committed crime cannot and should not be forgiven easily. If a victim like the individual who brought this case to the front feels that this criminal should be charged, then who are we to deny him for seeking what is right and fair?
  15. ^ But you checked it out anyways. So you're lamer
  16. Don't twist my words young mama! I don't want the "north" to resemble anything like the south. Because I don't want the same lawlessness that plagued the south for 2 decades to be transfered Up North. I didn't speak of any specifics or groups.

  20. Originally posted by STOIC: This Maalim guy's name is all over this corner...I remember this dude back in the mid 90's when he was a member of parliament...I believe he is more closer to the Puntland brothers than Somalilander's. For him to speak his guts and say what he felt about Somaliland is a bit courageous (though a bit irresponsible too for a Kenyan Somali leader to take sides in Somali politics-I'd have said the same had he questioned Somaliland legitimacy) .I will say this of course with bias, his community (clan) were NOT always the most hospital people to Somalilander's in Kenya since they are the majority.I have a few bone to pick with their leaders for age old SNM politics in Kenya. My Kenyan politics is a bit rusty, but having lived through Moi era in Kenya I doubt if this implications will tarnish Maalim's reputation after all Kenyan polticians switch principles for anything... He didn't take any sides. He simply said as free man, what he saw. And that is peaceful, prospering Somaliland. He also stated that Las Anod is not an 'disputed' town but one under the somaliland authority. Apparently that is all was needed for him to be blackmailed and scrutinized. He didn't spell out any support for somaliland as far as its independent quest, but did urge the International community to do more in funneling more of the money that goes elsewhere to assist Somaliland. Our brothers to the East are just envious. They wanted him to extend his trip to Garowe, which obviously he would have done that hadn't the Puntland administration been so hostile to him. BTW...What is the % of people from Somaliland origin in Kenya(the sujius)? thanks.
