  1. your right, we can use this as a index then... so who has something they want to share?
  2. What a great idea. i hope it materializes.
  3. Hey guys, lets start sharing files. some hot and hard to come-by items such as Somali audio such as poetry, old school somali music, quran and wacdi, videos if you have any.... pictures even. There is NO one online source for Somali files!!! Why don't we make one right here in Somalionline?? By sharing the files we have between ourselfs, we will be able to build a massive library. I don't think copyright is an issue, but if it does become an issue we can work something out. Also, to the admins, hey you guys thought of doing something like this?? am sure it would greatly increase the number of visitors you get. ps. am not talking about sharing copywrited software (we have kazaa for that )

  13. I think we already had this asked somewhere, but.... I am guessing your using Windows 9X or 2000. With Windows 9x: make sure you have BetBEUI and TCP/IP installed. Make sure the computer are on the same subnet and workgroup. make sure you have "file and print sharing" installed. make sure that the "bingings" on the NIC are correct if you have more then one NIC on the computer. Also make sure that on the share folder you specify that you want share level access. In a Windows 2000 environment, things get a lot easier. As long as the computer are on the same subnet and work group your set. I don't know if this is any help because I don’t know what your level of familiarity is with computer networking. If it's not helpful, then please be specific about what it is that you are having trouble with, if there are any errors your getting, or if you just want a step by step walk through on how to do this. We’re all here to help (because we have no lives ) good luck

  18. Computer on the same network can share a connection without sharing any data. The only thing to worry about would be if someon is monitoring network traffic, and in that case you use cryptography, and if you are someone who would worried about people monitoring your network traffic you probebly would not let them connect to your network in the first place.
