    Does anyone know of any free online Arabic translation tools/websites. I don’t mean like a dictionary that gives the translation of a single word. What I am referring to are tools that let you enter, for example, the address of a WebPage and then will give a full translation of the page contents. Or sometimes allows you to paste text then it translates it.

     

    A good example that doesn't do Arabic is at google.com under http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en

     

    Anyway, I have been looking for a Arabic > English (Arabic to English) free online translator. I know there is one on www.ajeeb.com but they want you to pay to use it.

     

    If anyone knows of an such online tool(s), please share.

    Somealien, you make a number of fair and rational observations, although I don't agree with all of them. Thanks for sharing your insight.

     

    I would like to add a thought. It is sad that in both traditional (patriarchal/religion based) and modern (atheist/western) societies woman are obviously exploited and subjected to fulfill the desires of men. This is a fact. Any movement that seeks to rectify this situation is worth commending.

     

     

    I find it disappointing that some of the so called "victories" of feminists in the West have led to the whole sale sexual exploitation of woman in mass-media. This situation undermines much of the real victories that may have been produced by that movement in the area's of the status of woman under the law and in educational institutions.

    There was an IM system way back when things works (chat? community? Nomad Messenger?!!)

     

    What's going on! Seems like this place is falling a part. Maybe the users can help do maintenance if cash is a little low.

     

    Anyway, if you bring back the Nomad Messenger, or some other IM system, something like the one on the Yahoo site, it can really improve the place... even draw more users!
