  1. Assalamu Calaykum macalim bada cas Its good to know that you are still alive and hicking. And asxanto for the corrections. Hada aniga bookayka somalika baa ku qorayaa the rewrite ones. Now I am suprising myself I mean I just learnt the word "cajiib" so was good for me to use it in a sentence so I don't forget. Indeed practice does make better. "Yeedho" that means waco, can't even prounce the word so will stick to waco even though I hardly use it, "call" was the word before for me. Assalamu Calaykum
  2. Thanks people for sharing your stories where your names come from. And what they mean for some. But we are still waiting for those long and difficult names, the somali ones specailly.

Assalamu Calaykum First of all sister didi kong don't call me "nayaa" only filthy people use words like that to each other. And I am certainly not part of that group. Different forms of depression has happened to very religious sisters. Postnatal depression is the one shape of depression I have witnessed in many sisters. So don't think you cannot fall victim to it. Yes I know depression happens to everyone but does that mean if I question myself that I am depressed? How else can you examine your self? And how do you personally examine your self sis. Since you disregard my way, am curious. Or is it that I have not written what you expected to read. Dear Diary I met this guy bla bla bla bla. Sister I don't know where you get all this anger but it's not a good thing. So let me see, you got angry because I examine my life and I want something better of it? Now please can you explain to be whats wrong with that or what part bothers you. The part I want to do well in life (jealousy is a curse) and since we are all muslims should be happy for each other. Or is it the religist part, why would that bother you again? What I have to say to you miss Bartender instead of calling people names or getting angry all of a sudden is that you should also examine your life sister and see where all these anger comes from. Surly we will not judge you and we will try to help as you are our sister in Islam.

I can't beleive that you just called a muslim sister depressed because she wants to be a better muslim and do well with her life. Sister you are the one who needs to re-in-touch with her religist side. Because certainly i'm not the one calling muslim sisters depressed and I will not go that low aswell. Originally posted by Zarqa: She is deserves to be ignored. Sister you can ignore me if you want because certainly I did not ask for your help, espcially by your comments I don't need help from you. What I meant was that me personally would rather study my diin than go to university. As I feel I have been going to school for far long time and have been only consecrating on it. I know my basic diin but I want to really get into it in depth. Instead of saying ooh some shikh once told me this or that, I want to know it myself and teach it inshallah.

Translation: IB sis I have learnt a little the way to wite somali. Where have you been this week, what happened? Check it out, nameless is learning Salam sis bedtime
  11. Assalamu Calyakum brother Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar or should I say macalim replacement (dont know how to say replacement in somali so this will do) I did read out loud and indeed I can see the difference but when I write in somali the letters are the same to me. Don't know which ones are in the word. I will inshallah write down the colours in my somali book when I go home later. But "cas" I think that was another word for white not red.

    Diary Entry

Dear Diary 12th April 2006, Yesterday I was not feeling myself, I waked up very late (due to me sleeping very late) anyways I didn't have uni and didn't go. I was planning to go to the library and study because I had a lot of homework waiting for me. My plan for the day was wake up very early do some house cleaning and then go to uni and study there. Well I did not do any. I don't feel motivated anymore and don't know what to do? I am not motivated in my schooling life any more.....I question myself a lot these days. Why do I go to uni? What do I want to achieve? Is it worth my time going to school all these years? What will be my future in ten years time? Well to be honest I want to finish uni inshallah and have my dream job and stuff. But at the same time I want to go to an Arab country and really study my deen and become a shikhad. But in reality first I don't have the money to study there for 4years and also I can't be in some country half way the world without my family. Sometimes I think that we are so caught up in this world that we forget about the hereafter. I mean I don't see or hear people going to uni for their religion after they finish high school and study it especially the females. All we do is waste are time in uni to get a better job in life. What about the hereafter? I would like to do both but I can't or don't want to be studying all my life or be in school for like ten years. I mean want to have family aswell when the time comes. I am so bored with my routine, wake up early in the mornings every day to go to uni, and then finish uni go to the library to study there (because the house is impossible). Arrive home about 8 or 9pm. Relax for hour and then do some more homework after hit the bed. Next day same thing. What really scares me even more is when I finish uni is the same thing instead of school its go to work. Am just wondering am I weird to feel like this or am I just a curious person. Do other people think about their future, are they paranoid like me? What should I do stay at uni and finish it, then what? What about my religion? What about the hereafter?
  13. Assalamu Calaykum Desrcibe myself in somali? Thats another thing macalim I can't but well try. Well here goes. Aniga magaceega waxaa ladhaha nameless chick. Waxaa daganahay magalada ladhaho Australia, waana magalo fiicin oo ladagakiro. Somali badan aa laydahay oo add o farbadin. That is how much somali I can write. Have a question how can you tell the difference X and H in somali, they sound the same to me. And I have another problem writing somali, I can't tell if a word is one or two. Specially with the long vowels in somali. I would tell you my favourite colour but I don't know the name of all the somali colours. Assalamu Calaykum
  14. To Ms. Nameless chick, I thought you said you had a baby boy there, my apologies sis. I still don't get what you meant by UNI? mind explaining to me what that is? Assalamu Calaykum macalim I meant that my other affairs took my time like religion and uni in other words school. Thats all was trying to put a english and somali word together which in this case did not work at all Originally posted by The Red Sea: quote: Originally posted by nameless_chick: And last but not least brother Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar I have no idea what you wrote I tried to read it but don't have that much time to try and read all, will take me like an hour to read  OUUUUUCh Mr. Akhyaar and you were trying to correct me. Now you get why I am chosen to be the teacher of the class? nabaday. Indeed you were chosen because you were the first teacher who applied for the position ......also you write something that is readable. How come you and Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar are talking about two different somali language. Is there two different somali language that I am not aware of? If thats the case it is going to make things much harder

    just 4 once!

What learn swahili? No thanks I will stick to my somali language first wooow do you already know swahili?
  16. Liibaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan........(but the admin told me to change it)
  17. I percieved your comments as something like these. Danahayga kale iyo cunigayga ayaa waqti badan iga qaata. meaning, my other affairs took up my time, is that what you meant? Assalamu Calaykum Yes thats what I meant to say but cunigayga what does that mean? I tried to read it and came up with, it means baby.......is that what it means? And uni-kayda was meant to mean my uni was trying to add somali with english And last but not least brother Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar I have no idea what you wrote I tried to read it but don't have that much time to try and read all, will take me like an hour to read
  18. Assalamu Calaykum Was just wondering what everyone's name mean. I don't know about everyone but sometimes people's names I can't even figure out if they are girls or guys eg mantra (thought was a guy with the picture and stuff) And the somali names I really want to know what it means, as I'm trying to increase my somali vocabray. It would be a great help. Will start first, well I couldn't think of good names so thought will call myself no name but nameless sound better and chick to let everyone know aint a guy
  19. Assalamu Calaykum macalim (thanks for the correction) Yes indeed I will try this one and not the rest of the other one. Even though now am curious what it said. Aniga magacayga waxaa layidhaahdaa Red Sea, waxaan ku dhashay magaalada Hargeysa xille aan idiin sheegi doonin. Magaalada Hargeysi waa magaalo wayn oo qurux badan. Markasta oo aan yidhaahdo magaceeda, waxaan xasuustaa quruxdii Hargeysa. Wadoonyinkeeda waaweyn, ubaxayadeeda ku yaala wadoonyinka, bridgkii waynaa ee dhex marayey magaalada dhexdeeda, iyo Masjid Al Jamicii weynaa ee caasimada Hargeysa Translation: "My name is Red Sea, I was born in the city Hargeysa a time i'm not going to tell. The city of Hargeysa is a city that is big and beautiful. Every time I say the name, I remember the beauty of Hargeysa. Her big roads, the flower on the road, the big bridge that went through the middle of the city, and the big Masjid Al Jamicii the leader of Hargeysa". I think caasimada means leader or capital city  And I think Wadoonyinkeeda means her roads. Sorry about the slow reply but my other studies I was busy with. Deentayda iyo uni-kayda waa farabanin. And where is the rest of the class? Assalamu Calaykum
  20. Stop being such a baby and get to work damn it! 5000 words is not that much. I've seen a dude in politics forum that writes 5000 words per post. You Halimos are so serious about education damn. Blue of course 5000 words is hard if you wrote 15,000 words already....after that there are not that much things in your head. And yes the halimos are serious about their education and thats how it should be........that also goes to the farax's out there too. Education aswell as deen are very important in this world. passionate sis, I understand your pain I have just started uni my self this year and its not that easy as I thought so. In high school in the last year the teachers try to encourage us by saying that uni is much easier and we are so close we shouldnt give up.....liers all of them. But sis all I have to say is dont give up and remember Allah. Inahallah you do well.
  21. Couldn't have said it better..A woman not knowing how to cook is clearly useless one lol pretty tone, nothing pretty in your tone in this commment you have made.....well a women not knowing how to cook means she definately has other qualities. For example only speaking for myself I have my deen, manner and education. These are a better qualities than a women who only has the art of cooking
  22. Assalamu Calaykum teacher and students well I will try to translate what macalamka dhahay (yay me am trying to write somali) Gabadha la yidhaa Nameless chick fadlan si fiican ii maqal. Waxaan kaa rabaa in markasta oo aad qolkan ama fasalka soo gashid in aad na wada salaanto sida diinta iyo dadka islaamka ucaadada ah magaratay English translation: "The girl named nameless chick listen very careful. I want very time you come in this room or subject to bring the salanta like the religion and the people muslims do everytime". There I know its only half but thats the best I can do. The rest I gave up its not like me but thats it for me now. Thanks hoping to get at least an B+ for my effect macalam.
  23. Of course a male and female can not be friends and for ONE reason only...ISLAM says a male and female can't be in a room alone together. Now said that how can two be friends if they can't be in a room alone together. No movie night with pop cones.....no going out only the two of you guys. Nothing... And why does our religion say we can not be in a room alone because of the "SHAYDAAN" ok I must admit the two, their attention could be to be friends but later it WILL change. Boys and girls can be friends if they are both ugly. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL serious that made me laugh but sxb just because they are ugly does not mean they don't have feelings.....was more thinking if one is ugly and the other isn't it could work more. Ps
  24. What the? Damn... this is one family I will not be messing around with Imagine the support you will get if you get into a fight....siblings here we come.....
  25. i would not meet anyone if i was you? people have been known to kill people they meet over the net.!indeed someone people are still MIA after they met up with people from forums. Thanks for the advice IB but was not that serious and shes a girl I think? what can she really do to me
