  1. Abtigiis,

What I have been reading attests to your opinion, however I have heard from long term friends of his a different view of his character. These friends are pre-Azania though, and we all know how the politics muck submerges lofty ideals.

On another point, surely he's too smart to take the Iley path?

  2. Lychee sounds as sweet as her name. Glad you found someone to make you happy, dear. Wish you a wonderful and healthy pregnancy & birth Insha'Allah.

Ibti - did you have a bad reaction to the 'please your husband' comment? It just means that a happy woman = a happy hubby. There will be no pleasing should she be unhappy or miserable. It's feminine nature, I think.

^^ I am not supporting the tired old men, saaxib. I am supporting the project itself. Tempt me with a better one and, as I keep telling you, I may (just may) drag that dust gathering blue flag from under my bed. For now though, I would continue on advising you to weigh things up and support this viable project of ours rather than waste your time (and probably your life) chasing an almost impossible dream.

Ah, but attaining peace is hardly an impossible dream (attaining recognition, however, just might be). Why limit yourself to an undeliverable project when the alternative possibilities are endless? (See, it works both ways!)

  4. Anything written in Somali seems to sound more raw than in English maybe because we are used to receiving a humongous amount of information in English daily. A sex manual was always going to sound a bit icky but in Somali it's sure to be an unholy mess! But to be fair to the author, the extract Som@li posted shows that he at least attempted to write his material in a clinical, informative and digestible format.
