Val, Somalis when they are a united people with a functioning society have nothing to fear from other religions or their missionaries. Remember that most of Africa was Christianised by the colonialists only a century and half ago, with their languages changed, customs and traditions changed etc, etc while in Somalia none of that happened, we retained our language, retained our customs and traditions and you could count the amount of converts on one hand, according to a contemporary of that period. This is despite the fact that the most military expeditions in Africa were deployed against the Somali people all across East Africa, completely disproportionate, but a good indicator of our sense of identity at the time, with strong family bonds and relatives living close to one another, not continents away. Today however we are a broken people and a broken country, scattered across the planet and with 500k orphans that could easily be influenced. I say no to creating new dimensions to the existing dilemma of Somali divisiveness in the form of proselytezation. However all religions should be respected.

Lol at stalling on purpose- maybe she is just not so sure and confident about commitment and all the responsibility that come with it. At 25 and 26, you are both too young with so much of life to live. Shall I call its quits? She does not sound like a model seeker- insecure and paranoid men are waste- no one wants to baby sit a grown men and smooth his ego Why insult me like that? I need my daily dose of ego-boosts! Right: Eng. Kamil A. Olol Diinle (TFG), Peter Noad (ICAO/TCB), Ahmed Dalal Farah “Wii-Waa” (Somaliland) and Romain Ekoto. MONTREAL — The 5th conference on Somali civil Aviation steering committee was held at the International Civil Aviation Organization headquarter in Montreal, Canada from June 28-June 29, 2012. Members of the committee who participated in the conference were Engineer Mohamed-Kamil A. Olol Diinle, representing the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (TFG), Ahmed Dalal Farah of Somaliland , Mr. Peter Noad of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO/TCB) also the Director of Civil Aviation Caretaker Authority for Somalia Mr. Kemoitse J. Mosuupoukwa and the head of UNDP for Somalia Mr. David M. Clapp joined the conference over the phone. The conference was chaired by the Director of Somaliland Civil Aviation Mr. Farah (WiiWaa). The committee discussed the importance of strengthening the capacity of CACAS staff as well as improving the rights of the staff who are currently working out of the Nairobi, Kenya office; eventually transferring the administration and management of Somali Civil Aviation back to the Somali authority. It is understood that CACAS was established as a temporary caretaker and that it is about time the Somali Government has complete authority of its airspace sovereignty. The Civil Aviation Caretaker Authority for Somalia headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya was established collaboratively by UNDP and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 1996 for the sole purpose of safeguarding the flight aviation security of Somalia, after the collapse of central authority in Somalia in 1991. Somali 012 air CACAS 300x185 Somali Aviation Committee meets with ICAO in Montréal It is alleged that the CACAS project has mismanaged funds that were intended to build a Somali Civil Aviation Administration as reported in a technical audit. It found that CACAS is essentially controlled by a group of Kenyan technocrats, with the addition of some international staff appointed by ICAO Technical Cooperation Bureau, the department which is in charge of the project. This damaging report further alleges that “there are few very low paid Somali aviation personnel, who are working in the project, but are treated as second class associates. The Somalis are working on pupils visas in Kenya, and there are huge disparities and discrepancies in salaries, benefits and allowances when compared to the Kenyan staff members who are paid, three or four times higher than what the Somalis are getting, though some of them are having higher or equivalent qualifications of their non-Somali counterparts. The outcome of the conference: 1. To review and approve the “Technical Audit Report” to be finalized within 6 weeks. 2. To finalize the selection of the Transitional Technical Team (TTT). 3. Approved Term of Reference (ToR) for both Steering Committee and Transitional Technical Team. 4. It was also agreed upon that all the Somali Staff with CACAS to have for the first time genuine contracts with benefits and pension system. 5. The Secretary General of ICAO re-confirms that he will honor the principles agreed within the Steering Committee by consensus. And finally it was agreed that an extra ordinary meeting in 6 weeks to be held in Nairobi. Engineer Mohamed Kamil Olal Diinle and Ahmed Farah (Wii Waa) who spoke with HOL stated that the outcome of the conference was very positive and changes will be made that are beneficial to the Somali civil aviation staff that is currently stationed in Nairobi, Kenya. Both Mr. Olal Diinle and Mr. Farah also held a private discussion with the secretary general of the International Civil Aviation Organization Mr. Raymond Benjamin who assured the outcome of the conference will be implemented; they also discussed the transfer of CACAS to the authority of Somali Government. The Somali Civil Aviation Steering Committee is comprised of the TFG, Puntland, Somaliland and members of CACAS, UNDP and ICAO/TCB. However, there will be one Somali civil aviation that will be responsible for the air flight aviation of the whole country once the management is transferred to the Somali government . - Somalilandpress , what was it Oodweyne called this, "unity through the back-door".

Ibti, I was just giving you examples of why a person's past is important when it comes to the future. My friend is just playing hard to get because he is still asking info on her,(clearly she imprinted on him) so there is hope there. However I still think it was his right to have a certain standard for the prospective mother of his children, and potentially life-long partner, because he did not use and abuse countless girls despite the various opportunities, so he does not deserve to be used and abused either. Nice curveball, but how do you know its not poor Adam that is waiting for her? I've known her since she was 14 but only became interested in her when she was 19....all grown up lol. I was 21 at the time. The first two years were riddled with our mutual fear of committment, it's pretty scary and most likely would have been a disaster, but in 2009 I managed to ask the big question, but before that I did lot of research with male-relatives in the real world and online; remember this topic?. 3 years engagement is not a long time right? Haye you think she's stalling on purpose? Keeping me close while looking for superior models out there? Now you've made insecure and worried.

Ibti, history always affects the future, it can't be brushed aside so easily. In your pursuit of happiness you have a right not to be deceived when asking for clarity from someone you might be interested in. If a guy were to ask for your hand, you definitely have a right to know about his past, whatever that might be. What if he was an alcoholist back in the day? The fact that he's sober today does not mean two or five years down the line he will not pop those old bottles again and do what dumb drunks do on a daily basis to their wives. This would disturb your harmony and that of your children, therefore the past is very important. The sister I'm with, I've known her since she was 14, the chance of her having led a double-life I was unaware of is next to nothing. However if I were to find out today that she wasn't honest with me, then I'm out of the relationship, regardless of my emotional attachment to her. This would be because she never gave me a choice in the first place. If she had told me everything at the beginning, whatever that might be, then there is a chance I would stay with her, but if I were to hear it from so and so, then I'm out, because if she lied about that, what else did she lie about? Let's get back to the former-alcoholist analogy; if that guy - interested in you - were to come and tell you of his drinking problems in the past, that would be him doing the right thing, and he has automatically given you the choice to make a decision about whether you want a life with him or not. I cannot stress how important this is in a relationship, because honesty and trust are the real pillars that sustain a marriage not lust or bubble-gum crushes. Sure lots of people get what they truly deserve, but many only get cloaked versions of what they deserve. Case in point your friend, he was never given a choice, instead someone impersonated his ideal and everybody else went along with it, leaving him ignorant. He was therefore deceived, and was put in a dangerous position, because there are such things called STDs, and your friend despite his madax-adeygnimo certainly doesn't deserve that, neither do mine. The sister that I'm playfully trying to hitch with my friends is someone I would never introduce to the Fish'n Chips gangs you see roaming in the town-centers because I believe she deserves much better, and if some useless Farah were to impersonate her ideal while at the same time not being honest with her, then I would most definitely step in and tell her the truth. After that anything she does is her choice and the consequences that come with it, because in the end we are all adults. It does not mean we should tolerate this "have your cake and eat it too" type of deceit.

Ibti, my dear sister, if a brother let's the advances of good-looking ajanabi sisters slide for years because he has a specific ideal, doesn't he have a right to be paranoid and judgemental an itsy bitsy tiny bit and not be fooled by a "reborn"? It's his right sax? I was exactly like him about five years ago though I personally wouldn't go as far as cut any ties if such pictures were to surface of my Queenbee in the future, but I would go Inspector Gadget on her azz lol. Let's just say, we grew up with Somali women that we greatly respect and admire and none of them ever put up gang-signs or headbanged to Jabba Sprungzz, so any such behaviour immediately sends alarm-lights flashing in our tiny complicated brains. Abu-Salman, agreed! Life is not mozilla firefox with its "delete history" button when you don't want yo mamma or daddy to know whom you've been chatting and messaging with lol, once its out there it stays with you! Can you imagine future Parent-child discussions like these: Mother: Nayaa, your not allowed to stay out after 9 0'clock! Daughter:, but Hooyo, you used to be out much later, look here are your old facebook pictures in Club Coco. lol or: Father: Waryaa, those that drink alcohol go straight to hell, is that what you want?. Son: Is that where you're going aabo? Remember those old images of you shirtless with a gun and hundred dollars bills in your pants, with Heineken bottles on the table? kkkkk

LMAO, Qardho brother, you're just a bootlegged "mahad yare"

LOL this is not cracking the "Enigma codes" dear Juxa, they never had boyfriends/girlfriends, and played either indoors football, or rented films on fridays and saturdays, the classic modus operandi of a virgin. Unless they had a one-night stand with a stranger, you can bet they're still pure. Now you have sparked my curiousity I'm going to ambush them with this question lol. He is part ezel, because now I'm going to hitch her with someone else.

They're my friends, you just know these things. News travels fast in the Somali community.

I tried to play match-maker with two associates, neither knows the other. Unfortunately the brother got really interested and started doing research and eventually found a picture of her on her old myspace profile putting up "gang-signs", and wearing no ''hijab''. Now he's convinced she has a "history" and wants nothing to do with her despite my assurances that she's a good girl. It's sad man because she liked him and I think they would be perfect for eachother, same sense of humour, same interests, both good-looking, both virgin, both have promising careers yet the deal's off. Pictures can haunt you for the rest of your life, thank god nobody saved those muscle 'showing off' pics from my younger "johnnie Bravo" years lol that would have been so embarrassing today.

Oodweyne;845593 wrote: ^^Wrong dear girl. Actually she is correct, the terms 'Somalia', 'Somali Republic' and 'Somaliland' were all used by the successive Somali governments in reference to the Somali State. Take for example this official Mogadishu tourism booklet by the government; Somaliland is used repeatedly in reference to the country.

I don't think DR Osman would appreciate Puntland being represented by gloves and coriander, his diet strictly consists of hydro-carbons. Blasphemy!

Turks are friendly people, and their language is very cute. Narniah just hit Abtigiis' Radar!!

Xaax, but its out of stock lol

My clan is the Somali Republic/Nation, so my favorite non-Somali city would be either Monaco, Venice, Istanbul or Seoul.

I wonder where you can buy these hats?

Is Dad the New Mom? The Rise of Stay-At-Home Fathers
Chimera replied to Nin-Yaaban's topic in General
I don't think I could ever do that, I would feel domesticated, and eventually would deteriorate as a person, like a Lion kept in a cage. I realised this while babysitting my nieces and nephews, because they drained more energy from me than a full-body workout at the gym, and those are brutal. I literally have to bribe them with gifts to maintain law & order. I think deep down I really hate kids, or at least watching over them, regardless of the "favorite uncle" reputation I have build for myself. -
