Some claimed Maradona was a cheat, that Michael Jordan was a cheat and that currently Lionel Messi is a cheat. Others can see its a skill. Thus thanks for supporting the premise of the threat. You are scared of losing as you have always done in the past. Its not in your vains to succeed. Now go tell it to the rest of the secessionists that they are out of their depth.
  3. The secessionist game is up. They are afraid cause in their eyes the Triangle of Burco-Berbera-Hargaysa is not enough. They don’t have any confidence that they would be able to compete against the major populations of the rest of Somalia. Hence all the bravado has come down to. They are the only ones who deserve autonomy and they are the only ones who are not a clan region but based on the warm memory of the British colonials.
  4. Carafaat;802973 wrote: Duke, which states exist in Somalia today and tell us who elected them? Which Somali citizen in Bosasso, Qardho, Garowe and Galkacyo has elected Faroole? Which folks in Galkacyo elected in Caalin, who in Hiiraan elected the new guy? Who gave them mandate to speak on behalf of them before they have spoken? No to bad policy, No to bad governance, to No clan based whicked ideas. I suppose you want me to belive that the people of Erigavo, Fiqi Fuliye, Mindigale, Habar-shiro, Hadaaftimo, Xingalol, Dhahar , Buraan , Xabasha Wacle, Badhan, Las Qoray, Kaladhacda, Ceelbuh, widhwidh, Marqan ,Balicad ,Caynaba District, Laascaanood , Taleex, Xudun , Boocame and Yagori voted for and elected Warlord Siilanyu and his SNM party? Adeer spare us the waffle. Puntland is a State and all other Somali populations of the South should follow suit and create regions based on the interest of their population and affinity. However the secessionist hypocracy and wailing wont do. The illegitimate SNM clan reps and their laughable attempt at hegemony over proud clans is just a joke, a joke I tell ya.
  5. Carafaat;802988 wrote: Duke, I love Puntland so much I dream of a centralized United Somalia including Puntland . So I can come visit from Xamar. No clan regions,no borders between us, so we can visit eachother everyday and everyone lives where he/she wants. I even consider a beach cottage in Hafuun, once those Pirates are removed from the Somali Sea. But why are you for a seperated Galkacyo? And why do want Federalism so bad?Dont you trust other Somali's to share regions, countryt and a central State. Must you have sovereignity over only half of a city. That makes no sense what so ever. One can visit Puntland right now and one could throughout the war period. Even you claimed that you recently visited, Bossaso and Garowe. Or was that another fictitious tales to impress people? The U.S. is more than 50 states and one can travel throughout without any issues or borders. Why would there be borders between Puntland and Banadir or Somaliland and Puntland? Again you need up your game. The asinine claims and contradictory life stories are becoming a bore. Only hate could drive a man to mention Galkacyu, a City he knows nothing about on every thread. Its an obsession that borders on the absurd. I hope you find help for this sickness because it will consume you. Hating Galkacyu specifically and the rest of Puntland generally will do nothing to the State. It will break you.
  6. I think some folks need to grow a backbone. Federalism and devolution works to empower people, thus how can one take advantage of the system if its not central and if the regions have more say. If Hargaysa, Garowe, Belwedweyne, Kismayu and Marka have more local powers, how could one region take advantage of them? The idea of decentralization is to create checks and balances so that power does not fall or is localized in one area. Puntland does not covet anyone’s land or resources. Thus why are the North Western afraid? Why do they spend so much time running away from the truth? Why is the triangle not enough for them? These are the questions that they have to answer. For if as you claim our land is “desert” and we are but just “clan enclaves” and what have you. Its puzzling why you are afraid to compete in a system which will guarantee you autonomy as well as on the individual level access to other region? The secessionists seem to be suffering from deep seated inferiority complex. Their leaders like Warraabe and elders like Bur-Madow are crying out loud. It’s as if they have no chance of competing with Puntland head on, that they are somewhat deficient in the darks arts of Politics. Somaliland has not been recognized and its clear now that it will be highly unlikely to ever break away from the republic. Thus the only alternative is a federal system which gives its regions autonomy while being part of a center. I believe it is high time the secessionists gained more confidence in their lands and people and tired to compete head on. All this defeated talk and wailing is so un-Somali.
  7. Whenever the Somali’s are close to achieving lasting stability the naysayers appear. In the past they covered themselves under clan garb. More recently these wretched lots grew beards and pretended to be fighting for the faith. Today they are championing centralism and fictitious unity. It’s noteworthy that today we have the desperate groups uniting and angry. You have the meaningless 550 MP’s whose sheer size have made them unable to even see beyond their own pathetic existence. Then you have the failed religious groups, the Al Qaeda lot and their Ala Shiekh clown who’s every aim is to stay in power, at the expense of the poor hapless Somali civilian . In Somalia politics wonders never stop, you’re always surprised by the strange bedfellows constantly being thrown up. Today we have the secessionists complaining about Federalism and devolution, forgetting their own cries for autonomy and independence. Puntland States self confidence is breathtaking. The State wants to take care of its priorities and yet live in a Somalia as equals. It covets no one land, not even claiming South Mudug let alone anyone else. Puntland and its people want to live in a free Somalia, where power is shared. The new Somalia will be devolved, every region will have its say, it will take care of itself on behalf of the nation. The government will serve the people and will not be large or tyrannical, but small and nimble. However our secessionist brothers and some in the South are afraid of this change. Yet they present no alternative and cannot reconcile the gulf between wanting to secede as the North Westerners dream about and holding to everything as some of the Centrist do. The fact remains, Somaliland can have its autonomy and the South its development if they had as much confidence in their land and the greatest resource its people. Puntland is confident in its land and people and thus can live in a Somalia in which people don’t look to government for everything, but take care of themselves.
  8. Carafat just be a man and admit you hate these people. Piracy was never a policy of Puntland, it was a criminal group and has been dealt with. Galgala and Galkacyu were attacked by the terrorist group that has caused a great deal of suffering throughout Somalia. Again, you are covering yourslef in smoke and it wont work. Your constant attacks on the people of Puntland and divisive talk about the Mudug, Raascasayr, Haylaan, questioning even if these important regions are part of Puntland is based on nothing but hate. However hate only consumes the person and seldom achieves anything than losing ones humanity..
  9. Carafaat;802923 wrote: The reason why Somalia cant be a Federation. Is because in a Federation, a group of states come together and transfer some of their sovereignity(on Foreign Affairs, Defense, money in the case of US. Trade, Market regulation, etc in the case of EU) to a central Federal Authority with mandate from the States. In the case of Somalia we have an excisting central authority(now to be reformed) who's task is to create, support and give mandate(like in the case of Hiiraan) to regional enthities. Even Puntland region requested the TFG to sign its mineral and oil deals. So this is everything but a federal process because a strong regional State, doesnt necesserly mean it's a Federal State. You can have State's and strong regions without being a Federal country. All known examples of countries with a Federal model, like US, Swiss, EU, Belgium have been created by existing States that came together and created a Federal country together or platform. Somalia as a country excisted before there were State's or regions. Again you highlight your deep seated ignorance and nothing more. The prototype for the Somali's wil be the United States, which had a central authority which created many of today's states. Remember there were nly 13 colonies when Independence was declared. Today there are a total of 50 States that means 37 States were created by the central authority. Today in Somalia you have a few states and the rest can be created by the central authority. Thus the EU formula does not work, this is more like the East African nations coming together, but within Somalia, the US model will be easy to implement and understand. Again the only reason why we have secessionists complaining is the simple fact that without recognition and being in a Federal Somalia will mean they will be a small fish in a big pond containing many equal or larger fish.

  12. Somaliland will keep deluding themselves until the bitter end. Puntland will have a say in anything to do with the unionist regions, any spoilers the peace and road map will not be tolerated..
  13. The secessionists would like autonomy and self determination. They want to run their own affairs and detest any notion of a centralized system. They argue that this system has failed in the past; it does not have a check and balance. The danger of a central system they state would concentrate power in a single individual’s hands it might prop up a single region and would lead to tyranny. The confusing thing is, and then secessionists forget about everything when they hear, Puntland State of Somalia, or other regions wishing to form a Federal State. The secessionists lose their minds; they get angry and hot and bothered. They cry, that this will not work, that “clan” states are not necessary and that theirs is a special case that their clans are not clans but a nation that was forged by the tender love of the British masters. The secessionists of NW Somalia would like devolution, autonomy and self determination only for themselves. Even when it comes to Somalia, they have this absurd notion that it is 50/50 negotiations or power sharing. Nonsense, the NW of Somalia or the Somaliland State of Somalia will get the power, its size and population accords it and no more or no less. It has to realize that what is good for the NW, is good for NE, Central, SE and SW. That to have peace and stability you must accord to your brothers and neighbors what you wish for yourself.

  15. Faroole is the President of the State and the title accords him respect. What matters no is the end of the TFG transition, the Oil drilling these two points are paramount. When his time comes he will leave just like the others left.
  16. I think out of hate you are trying to find more issues. The tow states share religion, language and nationality. Thus there will not be many different issues the common law will be the same. The only difference I would forsee maybe in terms of taxes other than that there will be no major issues. Again this has worked in many countries and the people of Galkacyu will have open borders and trade. It seems you do t understand what federalism is.
  17. Don't worry what I think. I am a staunch supporter of Puntland and in the end what will decide my position is what's good for the people of Puntland.
  18. Carafaat;802728 wrote: Duke, Somalia is not the Federal United States of America and Galkacyo is no twin City. We are Somali's, we have no borders. I think you misunderstood what is meant by the Twin Cities. Somalia is a federal republic regardless of your any emotional issues you may have. The country has clear borders, however what we are talking about is admin and what works. The Galkacyu that you keep chasing has grown tremendously in the war years and today has great institutions relative to other parts of Somalia. The fact that the Galmudug community is working to build it and the Puntland side is working to build bodes well for it's future. The two admins will compete and work to make their sides the best side. This will make he city a grand affair.
  19. Great job, the number of schools should double in the next couple of years insha Allah.
  20. What I think is, that the people of Puntland will decide his fate. If the people decide to give him and future admins an extra year then so be it. Faroole's power comes from the people and because of the chair that he sits on.
