  1. Alas Ariel Sharon, the proclaimed king of Isrial is helping to kill the Zionist dream of a pure Jewish state, he should leave the occupied territories. The growing mixing of the two people will be hard to seperate, but a state where HAMAS and the SICK SETTLERS live together would be amazing.

  3. Black Hawk down part 3, black hawk went down near Tikrit today killing all six on board, supposidely it was an accident, but locals said they heard ground fire before the crash. One US soldier died and 3 seriously injured in Mosul. Yesterday the first Polish soldier died in Karbala, Polish? There are 2000 polish soldiers stationed in Iraq taking part in the restructions. Other news the Turkish PM said that they will not be sending troops to Iraq because of objections from Iraqi's.
  4. Its shocking that our war is gone beyond our border to wherever Somali's are. May Allah give him peace amin.
  5. Gediid and S Warrior, as ever I have respect loads of respect for you. I dont mind coming on this train but where are we heading and when will we arrive there? Angel Dust will come if I come right, so come on my dear.
  6. Dear all, this post was about the pathetic remarks that old lady seems to be making on behalf of a Somali people against other Somali people. It seems that the Somalilanders agree with Edna as they seem to defend her, telling us that she is doing a great job. To Angel, dear I am a Somali citizen and Mogadishu was and insha Allah will be the capital of the future Somali's. It's problems pains me as the problems of the people no matter which region they are from. Being from Puntland does not make you hate Mogadishu, but thats what your infinate wisdom has lead you to beleive. What I have said about Xamar is the truth, go there and find out. Anyhow, I beleive that the incompetence of Edna and Warrabe and the leader Riyaale, will play into the hands of those who want to see a united Somali republic.
  7. Angel Dust, LOL, this forum seems to throw some funny personalities, but I must admit Angel Dust is truly unique amongst this lot. You are different to us other Somali’s Angel because of the sheer ignorance of your remarks, because you don’t even know what you are talking about. Black Hawk Down, was a movie but the truth is that 30,000 American troops where humbled by a mere militia and it has gone down in history as one of the greatest debacles of modern US warfare, they learn this in military academies. Edna and Somaliland leaders are bunch of hapless baboons who cannot differentiate between diplomacy and the way Qat chewers discuss clan politics. What you boast about is only your ignorance; Mogadishu has 180,000 children in full time education, a University that now offers Postgraduate education. It has 3 private TV stations with 7 radio stations. So my dear what progress are you talking about, in the south there are more areas in peace than there is war, people are organising their lives and things are changing everyday. So what savagery are you talking about are you starting to believe the western media’s hype, in which case all Muslims are terrorists and all Africans have HIV. So please next time you want to defend some one who you happen to be related to don’t go over the top and insult your self.
  8. Puntland Press Statement: Good Neighbourly Cooperation is The Way - Sunday, November 02, 2003 at 23:27 DAWLADDA PUNTLAND EE SOOMAALIYA XAFIISKA MADAXWEYNAHA PUNTLAND STATE OF SOMALIA OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT Garowe, November 2,2003 PRESS STATEMENT Punt land State of Somalia is deeply saddened by the barbaric murders of innocent expatriates, who had risked their lives to help Somalis in Somaliland. Puntland state leadership sends heartfelt condolence to the families, relatives and colleagues of those who have lost their lives in pursuit of humanitarian assistance to the most needed people in Somaliland as we expect that the authorities of Somaliland will do everything in their capacity to bring the criminals in Burao, Borama and Sheikh murders to justice. The Statement Government of Puntland also expresses deep concern for the arbitrary expulsion by the Administration of law abiding Somali citizens, who are either Somalilanders themselves or long staying families and permanent residents of Somaliland, thus grossly violating their personal and human rights in this strange and culturally unSomali exercise. Finally, Puntland State of Somalia had, from its inception, committed itself to good neighborliness with Somaliland and full cooperation on security and trade for mutual benefit. Unfortunately, the authorities in Somaliland have been always reluctant to see the mutual advantage of such cooperation despite multiple unilateral moves towards serious good neighborly gesture on the part of Puntland State. It is now therefore the sincere hope and expectations of the State of Puntland that the authorities in Somaliland give due attention to the safety of expatriates, guests and respect to personal and human rights and embark upon a new policy of peaceful coexistence between our two major parts of Somalia. One area Puntland and Somaliland States can work together immediately is the relief and humanitarian assistance to the thousands of people seriously affected by the current drought, allowing a free access of international relief workers to the areas affected from both sides of the border, thus saving lives of human and livestock populations. Ismail H. Warsame Chef de Cabinet, Office of the President
  9. Noble Savage, I totaly agree with you Edna seems to be from a different Somalia than most of us, the fact that she lived in the south for some time, worked there had relations and people there and then to slag of these people says more about her as an individual than anything else. However lets not confuse the idea of devolving power and creating states that can better manage the local priorities of people. The problem is not Somaliland or Puntland but the leaders, who are still in the mindstate of the colonial experience. As for the them being exclusively clanistic, I think Hargaysa and Bossaso even Galkacyu have much more diverese clans living in them than in the past, In the case of Bossaso there are alot of people from the deep south who have now settled there and who work. Would this have been true if there was no peace there or if the state did not exist?
  10. More than 15 Americans where lost on the 2nd of November, altogether 21 died and 20 are seriously injured. 2d of November six months after Bush declared war is over was marked as the resistance day in Iraq. The war is heating up and I think Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and their boss Bush have a lott to answer for. They thought Iraq was easy.
  11. It was kind of weird to say the least. It seems they wanted to writte about him but had to paint a picture that suited the west as well.
  12. Resistance in Iraq increases. http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/62151419-6B9F-4D5A-82FD-6BED2916FA88.htm

  14. MMA, These lands wont go any where any time soon, n the case of Soamliland it is over a decade old Puntland is over 6 years now so sorry my Utopian idealist brother they are here to stay.
  15. Mogadishu residents are able people and Insha Allah will be rewarded for their just actions. Well done ppl
  16. Farax, I totaly agree with you "Long may she continue in the cabinet, either with her current portfolio or another assignment." Then the recognition of Somaliland will be realised nah mean LOL
  17. LIQAYE, The neo-nationalist Somali is a simple new term which perfectly reflects many aspiring would be new Somali nationalist, for similarities check out neo conservative, neo-Nazi etc. It shouldn’t have taken to much brain power to figure out. On the point about clan, Afweyne was not a clan but a man who represented a regime the post was not about the clan, however you seem eager to get into clan politics hence the mentioning of the mythical alliance of MOD which some scholars and would be political analysts mention to explain the Afweyne regime. However in your wisdom as a neo nationalist you go further by explaining to us that you know the thinking of a whole clan “ A clan i might add that would have been wholly satisfied with being another M in the MOD of the government in to armed “ My dear friend was there a poll or surveys done to ask the above clan what their feelings was on being another M in the MOD? Funny how all these people present assumptions and hearsay as truth and believe the rumours people spread. What facts have you presented apart from rearranging your various prejudices? On the issue of legitimacy of the leadership of Puntland, as an expert you tell us with such belief and conviction that Jamac Cali was the rightfull leader and Abdullahi is not and he was elected by the people, what people? 40 issims extended Abdullahi’s term 30 elected Jamac, so dear nationalist which Issims should we follow? That’s what they call a dispute which was settled as you know not by the mere act of force but by the peace treaty of General Cade Musa and the rest as you know is history. Me supporting Abdullahi is clear, he is Puntlands president no dispute, maybe where your from they don’t call it Puntland even. Liqiye as a neo nationalist apart from insults and few clanistic quotes from history you bring little else to the table. I myself believe in Somali unity through devolution of power from the centre to the states. Puntland works and other Somali’s should emulate the state and create other states. I am optimistic about the peace process in Kenya and while its vision is not 100% perfect its better than what we have now. But alas neo Somali nationalist have far too much rhetoric and no substance, kind of like Abdiqasin, all day he talks about Somali unity, the flag, Islam all the chants in the world but the man presents few practical ways of disarming the bandits outside his own house. Alas poor people stay poor the rest get rich on Arab Zakah donations.
  18. Horn, I dont understand why she said that, because people would ask for the proof and then what? Plus she has a habit of blaming other Somali's on everything which just creates more animosity and confusion, like the fact that "Somaliland should be recognised because we did not drag American mareens in the streets" [black hawk down] I think her gafs are getting worse by the day.
  19. LIQIY I like the neo nationalist crowed of Somalia today people who where once the either Afweyne or clan diehards are now Somali nationalists. This crowed is against everything, Somaliland, Puntland, peace processes that doesn’t go their way. To them any new idea is Ethiopian any new initiative is by warlords who now have contracted HIV. To them moral and political arguments are mixed and myths perpetrated for their own agendas are “truth”. This cowed deals with absolutes, always, never and will are there basic mantra. LIQIYE, like few other neo nationalist up in this forum, would tell us the truth about an individual but provide little evidence. I will defend Abdullahi Yusuf against the neo nationalist truth. Was it Abdullahi who bombed Hargaysa? Or destroyed Mogadishu or took part in the clan cleanisng of Mogadishu and parts of the south? The truth is no, yet Abdiqasin, Morgan Barre Hirale, Dahir Riyale Kahin, Osman Ato Omar Jess took part in this orgy, as you know Abdullahi was not part of this war. Yet he is portrait as the greatest warlord ever, if he did not take part in the worst civil war battles how he is the worst warlord? Or have the greatest civil war battles taken place in PUNTLAND? Another point to stress to neo nationalist is this, Abdullahi as a Somali officer fought in 1964 Somali Ethiopia war and won honours, he was against the coup of the officer Barre and was improsned, who was the nationalist Afwene or Abdullahi? He served in the 1978 campaign against Ethiopia and all Somali officers agree that even in this war he played a key role and served his country well. However to neo nationalist this service doesn’t matter because he later fought Afweyne, this then must mean Afweyne was a just and democratic leader. Again the “truth” to the neo nats is that Abdullahi fought Afweyne their man, or Jmac Cali Jamac their man or Abdiqasin their man or Ayeed their man. Or he stood in front of Somaland and then he is the warlord the Punk the man with the Indian liver. I think further studies should be done on this phenomenon of the neo Somali nationalist.

Weriye c/risaaq Sheekhaduun Mudugonline.com .................................................... Puntland rebuffs allegations - Friday, October 31, 2003 at 22:09 “Allegations that Puntland administration, or its public at large had anything to do with the recent killings in Borama and Sheikh in the regions of the self-styled republic of Somaliland are groundless misinformation concocted by persons of reckless conduct and premature judgement” said Bile M Qabowsade, the spokesman for the office of the President of Puntland State of Somalia. This came as a result of recent interviews with the foreign minister of the Hargeysa administration in which Edna A Ismail, a midwife turned politician claimed that the killings of two retired British teachers and an Italian aid worker were the works of terrorist elements in Puntland, Somalia. “These are the words of an irresponsible person - misleading statements which bear no clear certainty to the true nature of these horrible crimes” added Mr Qabowsade. “Our relationship with the people of Somaliland is one of brotherly, respect, and love for the sustainability of peace” he noted. Her statements are in clear contradiction, he emphasised with the official statements from the offices of the President of self-styled republic Dahir Riyaale and Minister of Interior Isma’il A Osman both of whom stated the arrests of suspected individuals in Borama and in Sheikh. “The inconsistency, lack of tactic, and political naiveté on Edna’s part is a clear indication of her misguided policies” said state official in Garowe who we have contacted for explanation. Two men, held in Hargeysa's central station, both from Borama have been charged with the murder of Annelina Tonneli, an Italian aid worker, on the 5th of October. A dozen others including security guards have also been arrested in Sheikh in connection with the deaths of Richard and Enid Eyeington. “May we suggest she confines her emotive eruptions in her immediate environment, and better yet consult her interior minister whose role it is to determine the cause of the killings and apprehend perpetrating criminals accordingly instead of straddling of the affairs of neighbouring regions? And best of all perhaps she should stick to delivering healthy babies which is what Somalis are in dire need” he concluded. Our local reporter noted that people in Hargeysa shocked by these recent killings have received Edna’s claims with mixed feelings. On one hand, they had been asking questions with respect to who the culprits were and the reasoning of such callous acts while on the other they could not explain as to Edna’s repetitive claims of Puntland being behind the killings. “If Riyaale and the Interior Minister are saying that they do not know who is behind the killings, why does Edna keep making these accusations when she is thousands of miles away ” a local businessman commented. A political observer in the region noted that these killings have nothing to do with Puntland or international terrorists. They are simply a part of tribal rivalry gone wrong between the clans in the area. “ This is no more than internal political conflict between Riyaale and his Vice President Ahmed Yassin who had been at not so good terms lately. So, I would not be surprised if more killings were to follow ” he added. Is it any wonder then in an environment where everyone seems to have own interpretations of local events, Edna who at the time of these incidents was in the US had given a new meaning to the term “criminal investigation” as she demonstrated to know more about what is going on in Borama and in Sheikh than Riyaale and his interior minister. 21. Liqiye, you can think what you like By the way how are you saving Somalia? Its like blame others for our failures, blame Abdullahi Yusuf for what ever scenario that happens in Mogadishu, the clan blood lettings the occupations and murders and political weakness of Abdiqasin blame it all on the PUNK from Puntland. LOL It seems like the Somali peace is less important to you than the ambitions of individual leaders. Brother Puntland is a Somali state and it is not going any where. If this is what bothers you then tough. But I hope that Somalia can find a central government no matter which PUNK becomes the eventual leader. This post was about the end or demise of the conference and contrary to what that french article and some hoped the conference did not end it was stalled because some people want to save their careers others their secessionist dreams, but recent news has favoured those like myself who have supported the peace process.
  22. This is one of the best interviews I have ever heard from a Somali politician on Horn Afrique (Mogadishu based radio) with Mouleed Mohamoud Macane. In the middle of the interview there is a clash between Mouleed and the interviewr where he presses the interviewr on a certain point. Fantastic I think this man should be president. A true Somali patriot http://www.hornafrik.com/Audio/mowliidmacaane.ram

  24. Liqiye, The link works fine try gain I hve no text version though. the link is on, Puntland websites such as Mudugonline.com and Allpuntland.com. Interesting interview it has the late Egal at the end as well its a historical piece, but I dont get the relevence.
