  1. Brother all the other Somali peace conferences failed because of Abdullahi Yusuf? I think you are giving the old man too much credit.
  2. Sooyal, when was he bluffing before? The man has been in the peace process from the start, 15 months and he is adamant that there will be a government formed in Niarobi or In Jowhar. I think its a litmus test if the 20 members of the leaders commitee agree to form a government, then Arta, Musa Sudi's gang and Somaliland will be in no position to oppose. We hope for a new government/
  3. Ayoub and Somalilanders are you people still day dreaming? You huffed and buffet but did not blow the house down, The Puntland Police are still in LA and the people of the region have said a NO to Hargaysa Mafia and NSS comander RIYALE. Somaliland's claim to SOOL is over and may sense previal because like President Yusuf stated a man from Borama claiming the sacredness of Brotosh colonial rule cannot invade Las Ano.
  4. Jaalle-qaxooti, aint that the truth. Well said.
  5. Its good news, well done to the SSH development group.
  6. Gediid, thats a bit harsh mate .LOL Galayr is a very clever man who knows where his intrest lies. He took part in Somaliland's birth, then Puntlands's then Arta's and now he wants to take part in the birth of what will come out of Kenya. Good luck to him
  7. Ayoub LOL You should ask Somaliland's finance minister Ambasador Awil who with his wife had many late night dinners with the late President. Dahir Riyaale Kahin properly knows how the NSS was funded and how money was laundered, some of Hargaysa's traditional elders might have a clue to where certian Shillings went. That was a good question howver I was a little lad when the war started and I doubt Horn was any older LOL.
  8. Do I agree with this map, not really I agree with a federal formula but apart from Puntland's borders its up to the rest of Somali's to creat their own respective states. Federalism is important and should not be scrapped in order to bring unboard important peoples, notably Horn and MMA.
  9. Horn, well done you need to contribute as much as you can. The people back home rely on our support. We prey to the almighty to stop this war it has drained all of us and destroyed our nation.
  10. Some people are turning nasty up in here, Mach & Nassir are SOMALILAND patriots the sort that are fighting the ONLF and Puntland and doing it from the comfort of their homes in the west, what do you expect a coward is a lion at home. Gediid & Horn you two are way to smart to start playing this game. We have all been through this. Guraad, My brother you made your point clear, LA belongs to its people and Dahir NSS Kahin will never be welcomed there. Now lets move on this topic is at an end.
  11. Sahaqsi, thanks man. On a serious note what the hell is going on in that Village and why arent the clan elders stopping this madness?
  12. Saddam's translator: Hollywod-style capture By Ahmed Janabi Saddam Hussein's former translator has said the US will not allow the ex-Iraqi president to be tried in public because of potentially damaging revelations. In his first interview with Middle Eastern media after Saddam was captured, Dr Saman Abd al-Majid told Aljazeera.net that Saddam could implicate the US and Britain in his crimes. Dr Saman was referring to international complicity in building up Saddam's war machine which was then used devastatingly against the Iranians and his own people. "I do not believe that he would be tried publicly. He has nothing to lose and he would say everything if he was tried," he said. "He knows a lot of things that could damage international relations - he knows crucial secrets. I don't think that a public trial is in the interest of any of the countries that launched the war on Iraq. Saddam humiliation "The way the US occupation authorities showed Saddam was meant to humiliate all Arabs and Muslims and send them a clear message - that everyone who defies the US will end up like Saddam" Dr Saman Abd al-Majid, Saddam's former translator "And maybe that is why US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld hinted that Saddam is considered a prisoner of war, because international law stipulates that POWs cannot be tried." Dr Saman, who worked for Saddam for more than two decades, expressed deep sorrow that the former Iraqi president was humiliated in front of the whole world. "The way the US occupation authorities showed Saddam was meant to humiliate all Arabs and Muslims and send them a clear message - that everyone who defies the US will end up like Saddam," he said. "This concept was very clear in a statement by Richard Perle (the former assistant US defence secretary) yesterday on Lebanese television when he said it is indeed a message to all rogue states such as Iran and Syria." And Dr Saman, who is an Iraqi Kurd, said the Saddam he knew would not have surrendered without resistance. Show of power "Saddam Hussein is a very brave man, and strongly committed to Arab and Muslim values which curse one's surrender to the enemy. "It was a Hollywood-style show of power. I can confirm that if he was caught without resistance, then he was not able to resist either because he was gassed or caught as he was sleeping. "I do not believe the Americans. They do not have any credibility, I doubt the story they are telling." Dr Saman added if Saddam was really caught in a cottage near a river, as the Americans said, he would not have looked as dirty as he was when he was shown to the world. "He is a very neat and elegant man. He would not have let his hair and face look as dirty as looked." Iraqi resistance Saddam looked a broken man when captured by US forces Moreover, Dr Saman believes Iraqi resistance to American occupation will become more intense after the capture of Saddam. "Many Iraqi national factions were reluctant to participate in the actions against the occupation forces, fearing they would be accused of fighting to get Saddam Hussein back to power," he said. "Now they will find themselves free to participate in armed resistance to drive the occupation out of Iraq". Saddam was captured by American forces near his hometown of Tikrit on Saturday after an eight-month manhunt. Over the past few days the world has been divided over where he should be tried for alleged crimes during his time in power, and what penalty he should face. Several prominent Arab and western lawyers have offered to defend Saddam, with many arguing he should not be tried at all becuase heads of state should have immunity from prosecution.
  13. Gediid, Many thanks, but UDUB are playing with fire as such accusations would create divisions amongst the people. Awil seems to be digging his own hole. As long as it dosent lead to clan conflict but to some sort of court settlement would be good.
  14. Gediid, Could you tell me what all this is about, why did the information minister accuse Seelanyo at this moment in time? Frankly ive heard this story but I dont seem to undertsand it.
  15. Hanif, thanks bro I had to represent my man Sadam. Man looked like a Mujahid
  16. Dad I agree with you totally Americans cant a take the heat Politically the more deaths the more voters are put of by the present adminstartion and the Iraqi fighters know thats how to beat Bush make the incidents spectacular, shooting Black Hawks etc. Sooyaal, the Americans went to Somalia once and people rebelled against them. This proves there is nothing better than Liberty.
  17. May Allah (SWT) forgive all the muslims who have fallen in this tragic and needless conflict. May he give us strength to take responsability for our actions. Amin
  18. Why all the the talk, Guraad has a right to speak his mind. Riyale Run Away day will be commoridated onthe 7th of December every year by the people of Las Ano anyone who dosent like that fact so be it. Peace and FREEDOM for SADAM
  19. Dad you are right, Iraq should never be another lebanon, but there must be resistance because people like Ahmed Chalabi and Co want to gain power by giving the countries resources to the Isrielis, Imaging Iraqs wealth used to destroy the aspirations of Palastine and Syria. So the resistance must go on and a new Iraq should be created with the Sunni's not relegated to third class citizens. The occupiers only react to force.
  20. DAD, they said they found an A4 paper with minutes of a rebel meeting which was given to Sadam, and they made some arrest but according to the Independ newspaper in the UK there are more than 14 rebel groups only one had links to Sadam.
  21. Good points made, however we ned a united Somalia first and then maybe
  22. DAD. The US even admitt that he was not head of the attacks
  23. http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/C2CC8AFB-E4CB-4901-96C1-927E9E7C4A52.htm Resistance attacks continue in Iraq Tuesday 16 December 2003, 20:21 Makka Time, 17:21 GMT Police patrol as protesters gather against Saddam's capture Aljazeera correspondent Abd-al-Azeem Mohammed says that this is the second time that confusion has surrounded the number of Iraqi civilians killed by US troops in the city. "US forces announced two weeks ago that 45 Iraqis had been killed in Samarra, a claim denied by local people who said that only 8 Iraqis had been killed." Protests Witnesses said hundreds of residents protesting Saddam's capture overran the office of the US-appointed mayor in Falluja. Meanwhile, a US patrol north of the city was apparently attacked by roadside bombs and rocket-propelled grenades. The military claimed that soldiers returned fire, killing two Iraqi fighters. However, independent media reports said those killed were demonstrators. In a separate incident, 30 Iraqi fighters opened fired at a US patrol. US soldiers retaliated, killing one of the fighters. Support Pro Saddam supporters have cast doubts on claims by the US-led forces that the people of Iraq universally welcomed the former presidents capture. Monday15 December US occupation forces say five Iraqis were shot dead in Falluja and Ramadi . Tuesday 16 December One Iraqi police officer is killed and another wounded in Mosul following pro -Saddam demonstration. US soldiers shoot and kill one Iraqi in Kirkuk Around 200 people march in central Baghdad against Saddam Hussein - calling for elections. In the ousted leader's hometown of Tikrit, about 700 people demonstrated against his capture on Monday, chanting "Saddam is in our hearts, Saddam is in our blood." US soldiers and Iraqi policemen are reported to have shouted back: "Saddam is in our jail." One protester was reportedly killed in Tikrit in clashes that broke out between baton-wielding occupation forces and students . More resistance In related news, one US soldier died when a convoy was struck by a roadside bomb north of Baghdad on Tuesday, according to military sources. Three more US soldiers were injured, two seriously, in an explosion in Saddam's hometown of Tikrit, about 160km north of Baghdad, they said.
  24. Sadam a coward, but who is brave? The man stood up to the Americans and he got beat but at least he fought at least he said no to them, unlike all the Arab and muslim tyrants and leaders. On the point of him being evil, who are more evil than the US in their history they killed people 4 million Vietnamese, 2 million Iraqi children, not to forget the Palastinians, oh but they are not their own people. What about the Balck Americans who perished, or the Genocide against the native Americans? How many US president went to court? American is evil but hey we dont try the victors. On the other hand, who has supported the Palastinians like Sadam? How many Palastinians are celebrating today? How many Iraqi's are rejoicing in the so called Sunni triangle. in Mosul Ramady and in Tikrit and Falujah? Sadam was an evil man according to his enemies Iran, the Kurds the Shias and Isrieli Jewish Zionists. Under his regime Sdam nationalised the Oil and gave the money back to the people, Iraq became the most developed country in the middle east with the higher education that even Egypt and Isriel, but no one talks about that. Sadam won awards from the UN for the most effecient food distribution system in the world a reason Iraqis did not starve under the sanctions, a point no one on FOX news acknowledges. Was it Sadam or the sanctions that destroyed Iraq? Sadam was a hero to the Palastinians the Sunni Arabs and he supported the Somali's, Somali's who lived in Baghdad felt like they where at home. Sadam was one of only two Arab leaders who supported Somalia in the ****** war compared to Qadafi who supported Ethiopia and Iraq used to donate Oil to us trhough Iraq-Som company. So people stop believing the western hype of turning their enemies into the devil. The firstthing the the US proposed was pipeline that ran from Iraq throigh to Haifa in Isriel would Sdam have allowed that? Another point why should he kill himself? its more cowardly to kill yourself that the ultimate giving up. Sdam is a legend and history will remmebr that he was a great Arab figure who fought and stood up to the colonisers and occupiers from the west.
  25. Its funny how people are calling Sadam a coward, who know the true account of how he was captured, all we know it suits the occupiers to picture him as a coward as it would show resistance against them is futile. If he was a coward he would have run with his kids when Bush gave the 48 hour notice. People open your eyes Sadam is a coward because CNN,FOX news tell us he is? Sadam is a monster because Rumsfeld and Woolfiwitz and the Neo cons tell us so? Are the Kurds better than the Chechens and the Kashmiri's and Palastinians, Anyhow Sadam is a legend
