1. I have said it before that Uganda wants to prolong the conflict aslong as possible to eat the incentives it receives for as along as they can. Malistar and the Mogadishu elites consider Uganda an ally but in reality they are using Somalias misery to enrich themselves.
2. Ugandan soldiers serving with the AMISOM trained Al-Shabaab fighters By Pascal Kwesiga Wednesday, April 16, 2014 UPDF instructors trained ten Al-Shabaab fighters using African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) facilities on instructions from their commanders. Lance Corporal, Jackson Byabagambi, told the General Court Martial in Makindye, a Kampala suburb, Tuesday that the ten Al-Shabaab fighters were trained at Aljazeera training ground shared by AMISOM troops and Somalia National Army (SNA) last May. Maj. Frank Kawero, formally the training officer at Aljazeera training school and Capt. Hassan Wantimba, formally the school’s chief instructor, are facing trial for having allegedly sneaked the Al-Shabaab fighters into the military facility to attend training on firing guns. Byabagambi told court presided over by, Brig. Moses Ssentongo, that the alshabab fighters were trained under instructions from Watimba. He added that the SNA commandant in the camp stopped them from training the group because they were not known and their training had not been scheduled. “Watimba and Kawero then met the SNA commandant. After their meeting, Watimba told us to continue with the training without worry, but he asked us not to use SNA facilities,” Byabagambi said. The witness explained that the two weeks training took place at the time when the AMISOM commandant from Ethiopia was on leave and he had left Watimba and Kawero in charge. During examination by prosecutors Capt. Gerald Bamwitirebye and Lt. Ambrose Baguma, the witness said before the group arrived in the camp for training, Watimba told them to be prepared to train “a group” from alshabab
3. Elections are in one year and a half how do you make the connection , by the way Siilaanyo government closing down the border is only good for Somaliland and its people. These are the times the people of Somaliland should line behind their country and government and support to close down the border once and for all. And since when did Siilaanyo became a war criminal did he commit genocide or atrocities against unarmed civilians?
4. i have predicted 2 years ago that Khatumo will merge with Somaliland today 4 members former mayor of khatumo for taleex jamac shacuur ilweyn and Ina-Cabdi Caato,Ina C/laahi Dheeg iyo Maxamed Cabdi Dhoodi, who were all former Hig hranking members of Khatumo, from Taleex and joined the Somaliland defense forces and with a group of 400 militia joined the later Somaliland army from xudun and taleex joined and surrounded and captured Taleex. All in All Today 97% OF the sool region is under the Somaliland government. The people of Somaliland won at the end of the day there is also talks between the SL goverment and the the founder of Khatumo galaydh. so its all getting better
5. Very hurt are you that garowe clan enclave is no longer in the sool Khatumo Golkhatumo And the rest of sool is under SL Somalilanders are one people and there is nothing the pirate enclave can do
6. People Fight but the bond between brothers is stronger than anything, hence why peace was given a chance because the Cultural ethics of Somaliland is beautiful after war peace is made and everything is fine. Burco Clans and Hargeisa clans fought to no difference between Qurilugud and Buhoodle clans. one people One nation One flag One republic Long live
7. @burahadeer said: hear hear and you are not hag...seen your earlier posts. He is one of the defeated lots
8. PS Burahadheer dont be hostile towards the Garaad clan the people of Somaliland are one and the same people united by blood culture traditions ethics history and family ties,, we are one and the same blood, there might be some garaad clan community in the diaspora who are dissatisfied with the SL government, but blood is thicker than water we should always welcome them since they are our people our mothers our aunts our cousins our nephews and nieces. Listen from 2:38
9. Burahadheer no one can match the Somaliland defense apparatus Sahal communities in pirate enclave cant even safe guard the UN agencies in galkacyo and Galgala cell is gunning their high commanders. The pirates are the weakest Link the Pirates have lost all their influances in Mogadishu Kismayo madoobe are under the supervision of Kenyans, Somalia as we once knew it is gone its entirely under AU troops and UN agencies who run the show and Turks who provide with the charity projects The HAG cant even safeguard their villa Somalia from Alshabaab Militia and they are taking to the toilet by Ugandans the children and mothers are fed by Turks and their elites beg the Europeans for aid . Even though the HAG and the Somalilanders have no issue , but they have far more pressing issues that awaits them, in the near future.
10. How can you crush the former regime when you are an affiliate of the former regime. Khatumo clan and the burco berbera ceerigaabo hargeisa clans are one and the same people. the are proud citizens of SL, who fights his own people Long live the garaad clan of Somaliland who were visionary in 1960 when their garaad was not fond of the Koonfurian union with Somaliland
11. HAG are good folks even though they find it difficult to govern but they will learn one day ,,you just claim them , and are ashamed of your pirate roots.
12. Burahdheer the news is even bogus thats why malistar hided the source The koonfurians want to divert the attention from their cowardice neglective attitude approach towards the Kenyans abusing their refugees
13. Somaliland govt controls 95% of its territory SL president visited all regions of Somaliland and has a firm grip of SL. i know are scared to death of the former SNM mujahidins for first making you the defeated lot and second , killing the former Somali republic union, but hakugu taagnaato,, because the did it because they can ,and because they can , they live as Kings in their Land, and there is nothing the former neo F@qash can do about it. Long live the people of Somaliland
14. Burahadheer what Galbeedi also misses was the days of the SNM are gone the SNM came in and destroyed the regime and gave the decision to the people. what do you want and the people said anagu xamar dooni meyno. What ever intention SNM had to rule the entire Somali republic (Somaliland and Somalia) was killed when SL declared independence, this ambition died, SL declared independence and the Koonfurians are colonized by AU troops. Somalilanders feel that the union did them wrong , and that Mogadishu was never a credible partner for the union, they had a vision for the union , but the koonfurians made it impossible. The youth want jobs i agree with galbeedi and would do everything to pursue their interest , but being second to koonfurians is for them to no go , they will not make the same mistake their grandfathers made.
15. The Somaliland president enjoys the legitimacy of his people elected in a free and fair election and Somaliland president Ahmed Siilanyo is guarded by his fellow countrymen, Somaliland leader no person of SL accepts to be guarded by African union Mercenaries let alone the Symbol of the nation the President. A little self pride, SL people will never allow their citizens and its people to be ridiculed abused humiliated by 3rd world African states. Selebaan gaal head of the Guurti the President Ahmed , Cabdiraxman Cirio Parliament speaker, Thank you Somaliland elites protecting the dignity of the Somaliland people Thank you Vice president and President Its because of the Somaliland elites That the Somaliland youth are proud of their country Long live Somaliland and its people
16. Fantastic great development allot of thanks goes the diaspora reer Buhoodle well done
17. REAL IMAGES OF THE DESPISED, DEBASED SOMALI LOT April 10, 2014 By Faisal A. Roble Two things do not add up together: On the one hand, the internet has been replete with images of Somalis being harassed, maimed and humiliated in Kenya. It became omnipresent in the media where Kenyan soldiers hit Somalis with batons, the butt of rifles and other torture weapons. On the other hand, we are treated with images of the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, hugging in an ugly and non-kosher manner, the President of Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta, who had authorized this large scale expulsion of innocent refugees. Kenya_expells_Somalis The proximity of grief and gaiety Not only that, but the only speech the President gave on this matter was more supportive of the extra judicial act of the government of Kenya and non-sympathetic to his people; he said Somalis are being subjected to this condition because of Al-Shabab in their country. While we are with both presidents in fighting against Al-Shabab, we totally reject the logic of rounding up innocent Somalis and their family only to expel them from their homes and business in Kenya to the makeshift airport in Mogadishu. Meanwhile the government in Mogadishu stopped a solidarity demonstration Mogadishu residents organized (Wardheenrews Radio, April 9, 2014). The questions is who is going to speak for the multitude of Somalis that are victims of extra judicial torture, rounding up of innocent civilians and extradition of displaced persons, all of which are in total contravention to international laws that protect and provide status for refuges. Adding an insult to an already festering wound, “Somalia’s ambassador to Nairobi, Ali Americo, told the BBC Somali Service that he had discussed the arrests with Kenya’s Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku at a meeting on Monday.” The Somali ambassador, seemingly in concert with the action the Kenyan government took added that “he had been informed that most of the 2,000 people arrested were Somalis.’ Nothing that the good ambassador said speaks about the plight of his people. At the closing of the week, the number of refugees rounded up shot up to 5,000 persons. Somali_ref KenyaHow does that make the action of the Kenyan government consistent with Human rights principles and protocol? The President of Somalia owes a national apology to the nation in general and to the family who had so far suffered in the hands of cruel police action. He intentionally omitted from his speech the scapegoating of innocent Somalis, to which Neil Carrier, a lecturer at Oxford University whose research focusses on Eastleigh said: “There is this cycle of always coming back to see Somalis as the handy scapegoats. I would imagine it will keep on like that, unless there is some sort of radical change in the way the international community deals with it.” Where do the priorities of the inane Somali government rest? Not long ago, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the home of the holiest shrine in Islam, has suddenly without due process ejected thousands of Somalis in a cruel manner. The government in Mogadishu uttered not even a single sentence in solidarity with its people. Granted that Somalia is not much of a state in the real sense of the word; but the Mogadishu government is the closest national sovereign state that Somalis have at this time. As such one would expect that Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud would say something, even if it is a mere but supportive and caring national speech, about the plight of his people. Very sad!! The powerlessness that Somalis feel today is akin to that of 1958, when Somalis helplessly watched the colonial power of England slice their land to friendly forces such as Ethiopia and the soon-to-be nation of Kenya. Mohamed Haji Ismail, aka Balaayo Cas, or Barkhad Cas, a Somali poet whose patriotism was deep expressed his dismay and helplessness about the scheme abrasive act of Western countries in dividing the Somali society at the closing of the Second World War and the dawning of Somali nation state. That poem is tragically appropriate today for both the conditions and the absence of a credible and forceful Somali voice are similar: It expresses the powerlessness of the Somalis and the option of crying by those who care as being the venue to grief: Awowgey ninkii indhaha tiray Ninkii aabbahay addoonsaday Ninkii anigana i iibsaday Ninkii ifka igu adduun tirey Lidaan li’i baa ishaa i bidee Haddaan ogohoon ka aarsan karayn Haddaan, Aadanow, unuunka jarayn! Ninkaa araggiisa uurkaan ka nebcee Aan ooyee albaabka ii xira! Isagoo Iglan jooga buu i diloo Ushuu soo fidshaa i iimaysoo Waa taa aramidu i oofa tirtee Asaag li’i baa ishaa i bidee Ninkaa araggiisa uurkaan ka nebcee Aan ooyee albaabka ii xidha! Arladii ka samroo adduun ma hayee Haddii la ilaashay afkaygii Haddaan ikhtiyaar aqoontay hadlayn Haddaanan erey qudha shirkaa odhanayn Ninkaa araggiisa uurkaan ka nebcee Aan ooyee albaabka ii xidha! Wixii arrineen Ilaahay jecleyn Haddaanan addimada ku oolin karayn Aayaadka Quraanka wada aragtoo Udgoonena yidhi “Indhaha ka qarshee” Ninkaa araggiisa uurkaan ka nebcee Aan ooyee albaabka ii xidha! Ugaadha ninkii dhaqdee ururshaa Ruuxii eegayaa adduun ka baxshee Raggiinnii ogaa horruu u arkee Ninkii ooridiisa u geynahayow Inkeeg iyo shaal ayuu ku arkine Iimowdey axankaaga weynee! Libaaxa Annayiyo Abaarso ka ciyey Abuuriin lo’da joogta baa urisee Oodday jebisaa in ay u dhacdoo Anshaxuu markaa ka guraa idilkeed Waa kaa Ingiriis iidahayee Idinna u dabbaaldegoo ariyahow! Ayaanu ninna oran “Soomaalaan ahee” Ordoo magacana ka iibsada! Not long ago, such a melancholic sentiment of being Somali and powerless hit me in the face. Invoked by a video that I watched, where Kenyan police men were whipping a helpless Somali man with multiple lashes, I felt an excruciating pain in the gut. So painful appeared the ceaseless and stream of lashes that the Somali man was receiving that he literally rolled back and forth, turned one side that was already bleeding to the other side in the hope of lessening the pain and suffering, just like slaves did when whipped by their masters/slave riders in the Southern belt of the United States, the infamous slave states. As a Somali in the Diaspora, who is cognizant equally of what Black America went through, and who read roots and other antebellum literature, I wept with my brother and jotted down my silent wailing words in an article I called “Wailing with My Brothers in Garissa and Eastleigh in Kenya.” Out of pain and sorrow, I equated the current Somali status in the scheme of the world to that of the “nigger,” as in “nigger” meaning “powerless”, “despised” and “debased” by all (Ralph Ellison, the Invisible Man). The current extra judicial act by Kenya against Somali refugees is nothing but debasing of thousands of innocent and peace loving people, telling them that they are less than, and showing them who has the bigger whip and lashes. I am profoundly sorry to see my people in this “wretched” condition. What irks me most is the answerless question of who is responsible for our predicament? Is it the silly and selfish cohort of politicians who had destroyed the Somali pride that was not long ago the envy of all others in the continent? Who turned what could have been a recoverable nation into a “Rentier Market State” where the highest bidder has the last word, as opposed to the citizens of the country? What is a nation state if it can’t utter a word of solidarity with its people in time of needs and suffering? In the end, though, none of these matter. Somalia is suffering from its own undoing of its statehood and had perfected the art of exposing its inner sanctum of nationhood to its enemies, thus rendering its citizens an open season for all to whip them, thrash and flog them. Today it is Kenya, yesterday it was South Africa, and tomorrow it may be someone else in the neck of our wood. This is one of those rare case where I get tempted to say Somalia have no one else, no African friends, no Arab friends, definitely no Anglo Saxon friends, aka the architects of the “war on terror”, the underlying philosophy that sanctions Kenyan action against Somali refugees. I say so because, all these forces have one time or another enslaved Somalis, killed them, or looked the other way when suffering befell them. This is, therefore, a moment of looking for a final consolation, solace albeit succor that we have in Allah the Almighty whose rivers of mercy and compassion never dry. Faisal A. Roble

19. And how do we know the Woman is from Somaliland where did she say she is from Somaliland who siad she is from SL , these people are Koonfurians and they were deported from Kenya at the end of the day its shameful for Somalia that their citizens are being abused in Kenya, its very sad that the topic opener uses this as an attack against SL. I mean if you call the woman that praises allegedly ur president a village lander what connects you with her. There are no Somaliland refugees in Kenya , the SL refugees fled in 1988 to Ethiopia to their ancestral home land in the Hawd and reserve area under Ethiopia and returned in 1991. The only ethnic Somalilanders are elites Kenyans who migrated there in the 19 century like the Grandfather of Amina Muhammed Kenya Foreign minister. Johnny former MP candidate in kenya and many residents from Isiolo, Somalilanders are not in the slums of isli. Trust me all the refugees Kenyan Somali mp ducaale was defending were all Koonfurians from Mogadishu baydhabo etc
20. Electricity has been a problem for quiet some time and energy is needed another reason to support the grand Renaissance dam of Ethiopia, the region will have cheap electricity. Having said that Somalia has more pressing issues Somalia rising dont you have to worry about UN agencies leaving Garowe and they being gunned down there, not that long ago and if you care about south central Somalia there was a blast in Mogadishu yesterday. This should be your first priority http://www.hiiraan.com/news4/2014/Apr/53962/blast_kills_regional_official_in_mogadishu.aspx
21. Mooge Cabdi cawar is messing things up in Puntland i told you so 3 months in office a commander in galgala killed he smiling with Mogadishu and UN officials gunned down.
22. Galbeedi you are making the same mistake as the kooonfurians do ,i thought as a man from Somaliland you know the difference between the public even , if Siilaanyo loved to be part of xamar, he cannot sell it to the people SNM elites were the closest unionists he even wrote a powersharing formula between SL and Somalia in 1990. But the poeple were fed up and said no more sharing a nation with Somalia. And its to late now, to reverse any of that 23 years we the old generation might remember an old Somali republic , but the youth have no clue of this its not the SL elites who decide its the people. In Somalia its their elites and their African union troop overlords who decide. in Somaliland its the people who want this independence cost what cost. Even the Awdal MP as you say are in this,, they might want more representation and support for their regions how ever they are committed to the republic Burahadheer Galbeedi is entitled to his opinion and let him share with us what he experianced in Somaliland.. Its good to see other peoples perspectives he is one man and a citizen of SL and every SL citizen , has one vote, in Somaliland its all about one man one vote
