  1. Surely its sad. I have met sisters in Canada from Turkey, who left their families in order to pursue their education. It's unbelievable how a country populated by muslims don't allow their women to seek higher education because of hijaab. Guess what, countries like Canada are taking these girls in, as a refugee!! CAn u believe it, a non-muslim country rescuing a muslim from a muslim.......amazing.... ------------------ "The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. God created all races, and we should be humble in that sense. We've pretty much insulted Ethiopians, for what? What god has ordained for them? I mean if it was a constructive critisism regarding their lifestyle, or political authority, and so on and so forth, I can understand. And as far as it goes on pages created for the purpose of gender bashing, I don't agree with that also. Peace.

  7. I Couldn't Help Thinking This morning I was walking Upon grass sprinkled in dew When someone unknown came and said, "Let me walk with you." He knew no consent was needed And so in silence we walked Comfortably we went nowhere And nowhere is where we talked Fields were all around us Morning sun was shining through And even now I remember That someone being you I couldn't help thinking How beautiful it was to me To walk so very far with you And sit with you by the sea The sun was rising over the waves And your face was kissed with light I couldn't help thinking How this moment was so right The silence was so beautiful And I loved how it went unbroken Heaven is remaining with you Where no words must be spoken With you, hours are like minutes And fly by till it's night So we stare up at a sky That possesses stars so bright Staying here with you Proves how I love you so And this is how I tell you So you'll never let me go ------------------ "He tried to be somebody by trying to be like everybody, which makes him a nobody."

  14. Freedom, "you muslims"? How you gonna sit there and say that WE are the only ones that kill women and children and not soldiers? How you gonna sit there and say that the WESTERN COUNTRIES don't do such a horrid thing and imply that only MUSLIMS do? How you gonna sit there and look stupidly naive and diss somalis and muslims alike and side with the WESTERN COUNTRIES? I must say though, CNN & Co. did a good job of brain-washing the easily-impressionables. Truth is, bad people exist every where, no doubt. Believe it or not, some of 'em happen to SAY they are muslims and kill innocent women and children, when they know as muslims, if they want to wage a war, they are not to harm a single woman, child nor even a insignificant tree. But you know what, these muslims who are fightin' "JIHADS" are not representin' us at all. They all have political agendas, and not ALLAH in mind. Pls, dont be stupid enuff to think that the WEST don't kill women and children, becuz when they do, they call it COLLATERAL DAMAGE, and you will never hear it on CNN Next time you do watch the news, look real carefully: are the people starin back at you Muslims? no..are the CEOs of Powerful corporations in the WEST muslims? No...they are christians and they are jews. SO HOW DARE YOU SIT THERE AND BLATANTLY SAY THAT WESTERN COUNTRIES REPRESENT ALL RELIGIONS AND ALL RACES? ------------------ Don't get mad..Just my opinion!
  15. oh shit, lol that was hilarious! thanks STHLM_lady
  16. Jaber, walaalo thats a little dated, mahaa? I mean those comments were true 5 years back and perhabs is still true with the older guys and girls... Laakiin, hada it's a whole different game show. I think your 3 point list is aight... I can't imagin any 'cambaro' that would have problem with providing the food and sex. However, the nagging .... hummmmmmmmmmm, Ur gonna have to work for that privilige, ya know. I mean, you can't act like an arrogant so and so and expect respect can ya? All women like to be respected, appreciated and treated like ladies ..... if she is bugging walaalo, Ur doing something wrong! Also, a lot of sisters are now working so Farax isn't necessarily the main breadwinner..... so I think, it would be fair 2 allow the Ladies to question the merchandise also ... if that is absolutley neccessary. 2 me marriege is about sharing your life with that one special person .. I don't think it's wise to go into a marriege with negative notions about the opposite sex... cos that is gonna cause problems for you before U begin. I think 'Cambaro' should be given the benefit of the doubt and her individuality should be the main factor for any judgement regarding the marrige .. same rule applies to the Abdi's. My advice walaalo, is to make sure that U and your future wifey are on the same chapter prior to the Aroos. Hope dat helps,

  18. How do you think a Visual Literacy would help and better "educate" an average Somali Man/Woman/Child who, due to war and continuing insecurity, have little access to education? - Many agreed that combined visual experience is to greatly increase the probability of learning - Our spoken verbal language is full of expressions that reflect views of this kind, including "one picture is worth a thousand words" or "Seeing is believing" and many more. Take a look at this bribe image: ------------------ "He tried to be somebody by trying to be like everybody, which makes him a nobody."

Brother Jaber i just tell you this god bless you..as for wadaads u seem insulting i am not a wadaad but i wish i was ,as i see them the the followers of prophet mohamed PUH. it became acustom to our society nowadays when someone talks about the religion they take their self hatred comments to generalize members of certain religious section and it is sad we have it today here in this forum our brother jaber taking his share of the hatred. me personally i dont belong to certain group and i associate myself as a muslim no more no less.coming back to the the topic there were somewhere in ur post u said that ''if it was allah's wish to have children why it is some of us can't have children'' and if u did not mean questioning Allah please forgive me, i was not intending just to criticize u. i was just trying to clarify the matter how i understood it. As for ur Elmi i say god endow u more and i am happy that u we have such educated person like you in this forum and inshaalah we will learn from you. now we should came back to the topic our sister brought about and give advices to each other and also open to be criticized when we post coz any post anyone posts will affect someone somewhere.
