Naasir,i think u have totally under estimated educated women. for one,if a woman was strong enough to go thru graduate school then she needs no opinion from anyone on how to run her life. second,no matter how educated or intelligent u might be,as a woman ur always a mother and a wife. third,if she makes the decision of staying home then i am sure its something she thought about and talked it over with her partner.when u have a Master's degree the option of u generating some sort of an income are endless.which means that she could be home with her children and at the same time make more income than u (working from home) i know couple of somali sister who some are divorced.they make pretty good money,raise their kids alone,never missed one single game and even drag me when ever they get a chance. so basically my point is,that this is not something concerning somali women.it's something that every new mother faces and has to deal with it on the best of her ability. plz next time u decide to ask something about somali sister,don't assume. Ask somebody....by the way i am very intersted in how u come up with that survey?

Hey ladiez and gentz just an interested brother wants to know about some rumors that have been going on about somali pornography floating the web. I personally would not want my daddy or hubby wantin another wife but...allah did say a man has a right to marry while being married to another....just as long as everything he does for one wife he does for the other wife....if he decided to give one an apple he has to do the same fo the other...so as u can see havin more then one wife is hard not to mention expensive and Allah only said to do this if u can handle it...and most men don't do it that way or don't think about the feelins of the old wife coz he has a new one....I mean dang....and plus am a very jealous chik so I know I couldn't handle my man doin dat....hell nah...thanx fo readin 1ne luv

Don't get me wrong but i'm amazed that many of you guys are referring another somali as an outsider...is kinda little bit helarious actually from my point of view...anyways...there is always hope that tribalism won't be the base of ones decisions in marriage...but the reality speaks for itself. personally...all somalis are cool but the sad truth is though i would love to share my life with the guy that meets that long list of requirements...i would prefer a guy from my own clan. I'm sure all of u guys want a marriage that lasts...u know "till death do us apart" and the fact is that marriages within the same clan have less divorce rate nowadays. laakiin qadar iyo calaf labadaba way jiraan...and it is ignorant to refuse a wonderful person cuzz of their clan as all people are created from thuraab. I know i'm somewhat contradicting myself here but thats us (somalis). we say we ain't no racist or tribist or that and that....but i feel better saying that i could go either way than saying i wouldn't care .
