  1. Better than burning things I suppose. But I'm personally against the idea of protest to begin with.
  2. ^^ So you think it was planned in advance with Ethiopia (and presumably PL)? A fair guess I suppose but can't work out what's in it for Ethiopia or PL! Guru, try I must, saaxib. Hada do you want me to spend the rest of the day reading ME, CHE, Xunjuf & Ducaale spitting nonsense?
  3. ^^ Yet she looks so peaceful and full of naxrees. Subxan allah. The Central Line has too many furstrated people on it. I have never had such problems on other lines.

  5. ^^ No mac sokor. I defended myself and made people laugh at him. Anigu, I'm not a trouble maker but when I'm pushed, I have the speed and wit of a teenage girl. Sacsac bu ahaa gabadh cad doonaya inu igu dhul shukaansado. Markay so kortay, she was behind me and I didn't see her. He was in front of me, leaning on the door and reading a paper. He saw her trying to get in and waved to her to push in front of me. Then said to her "there is plenty of space here, don't mind this moron". Dee, I gave him a look that could kill but when that did not work, I asked him (politely of course) why did he need to insult me. He instantly apologised and said that I should have paid attention to people behind me. I can't remember my exact words lakin waan yara qayliyaay (so that waxa meesha jooga ha i maqlan) and said 'could you not attract my attention in any other way or even tapped me on the shoulder?'..he said sorry again..dee marka casharka wuu bilaabay and included something about people moving their heads left and right like in a music video, the unspoken rules of the tube and a hint about him being from outer space, the way loose tongues usually get forcibaly shut, etc.. the funny thing is that when we were getting off, the girl he was trying to be nice to asked him tartly if he was going to get off or continue to block the way.
  6. Since we are in the mood for moaning, someone called me a moron on the tube this morning.
  7. ^^ Forget Mr Somalia (or anyone from PL) for now and answer the thread itself, adeer. Can you not conduct a discussion without turning it into a fight? Mr Somalia, the guru said "Will be controlled", he did not say they are controlled. Now back off and wait for an opportune moment to attack him again badow yaho. Now, now, kids. Can we get back to a proper discussion please? We'll have plenty of opportunity to bicker later, I'm sure.
  8. ^^ Don't take this in another direction, guru. Horta aan ogaano waxa meesha ka dhacay. Defeated lot ha ino dhambeyaan, saaxib. Originally posted by nuune: There is an outside force that is causing the unrest in those disputed regions, and by outside force I don't mean Ethiopia, they are already there by default, untill that outside force is defeated, then I don't see any shortcoming solution for the region and its two neighbours. Sheekado ma yehood ba ka dambeesa? Sacad & Suldaanka, you gave one part of the answer but what about Widhwidh? You've got to admit that the timing was a bit iffy! Mr Somalia, I know you're young but I never knew you were sensetive warya! Cawke, Dee other than fantasies and things related to greater Somalia, what do your news sources tell you about all of this?
  9. ^^ To be fair to A&T, he did say that Bayern were a rubbish team long before they made the final. Lakin waa nin waalan oo aan is hubin. He probably thinks he supported Bayren now.
  10. I've read through the various threads posted on the site and I am still non the wiser as to the reasons for these clashes. It's either ME bleating or Sacad Ducale preening but nobody has bothered to give even a subjective account of what took place in those areas. Now what exactly happened and why? Was it a coordinated attack by the SL and Ethiopian armies to crush and destroy any dissenting voices in that region? To what end and why is Ethiopia helping SL in something that may upset its other client (PL)? An extension of this thought would beg the question about PL giving up on its claims on those areas. Was it a reaction by the people of Buhoodle to the heavy-handed treatment of the Ethiopians on that side of the border? Did a scuffle escalate into a fight? Was it something that the SSC leaders instigated in order to fulfil the promises they have been making all along? In other words, has the resistance finally shot its first xabashi? Was it a Riyaale inspired plan to cause unrest and disrupt the upcoming elections in SL? Do any grown ups here have any inklings?

I understand that politics can be destructive and I also know it is cyclical. Nothing in what you wrote makes me believe that the gloomy scenario you paint will eventually take place. This is merely a skirmish, like the many that took place for the past eight years. I do believe that SL will take these towns and secure its border but I highly doubt it will happen through the barrel of the gun. Like LA, it will come from within (regardless of the poems and what not). Of course, the biggest loser here is PL. When will YOU learn? Another possibility is further crumbling among your regions, Hargeisa & Buroa going their separate ways is probable. The future outlook of this region is uncertain thus, entertaining yourself that SSC regions will come to your fold is not only naive but a biased position one to ponder. Of course. But the one you paint is (for now) a very remote possibility, wouldn't you agree?
  12. Kubbada barta. (though Jose is a fulay).
  13. Heh@tol iyo qabiil. Dee reer SSC (to use the PL coined phrase) usheeg. This is a time when Faroole can make political capital from this whole mess but the man is busy selling Tuna ninyaho. Wax fahan.
  14. ^^ Nonesense. No shunning involved if you're giving the conditional statement "don't, unless..". Heck the verse even ends with a bitabout understanding clear words. Make it as you go along though. Dee naga daaya.

  16. Che & Me are in their element again. When you're done chest beating boys, can any of you shed some light on what exactly is going on in that part of the world and WHY? It'll make for a better discussion than this promised vengeance against phone companies and the like.
  17. ^^ Dee ma nin waalan ban kugo sheega marka? War xamaasada la qaatay, xita cay ma noqoto. Your words carry a whiff of certainty about them regarding the future of Somaliland yet you are getting worked up over minor details (such as widhwidh, LA or Buhoodle). As the famous Juxa once said, those that know should tell those that don't know. As for the guru or my caseer drinking self, dee we believe in a project that has been going from strength to strength for ninteen years. I mean, it's not as your former hero has provided an alternative that might turn our heads (admittidely, my neck is slightly more felxible than the guru's). Wax fahan.
  18. ^^ You're reinventing the wheel though, saaxib. I can't waste time going through the basics with you since you're already quoting Al Tabri. But you're being sneaky in the way you equate the people of the book with those that don't believe at all. Worse still, you give out your argument in drips and drabs, which only comes across as being utterly dishonest. Dee naga daaya.
  19. ^^ If that's the case and it is simply a house of cards that is going to come tumbling down anyway, adigu maxa ku dhibhayaa, saaxib? Waxaad na leedahay ciyaarto waxay ku dhamaan doonta wan oga'hay hadana waxa kaa muuqata xamaasad quf aan wax la socon! What gives? Myself and my guru's goal is the same. We merely differ on the short term tactics. Long term, freedom, democracy and justice are what we all seek.
  20. ^^ So ku man odhan shock ba kugo dhacay? Since when did I believe in SL being democratic or fair, adeer? War dee this is not fair, I can't keep explaining my positions everytime shock yar kugo dhaco! Now, is yara daji and read again the bit about "A country with dreams of democracy, fairness and justice". Arr ya illaha yaqaan, raggo baryahaan waa..eeen..eeen..khaalaas.
  21. ^^ You ask a question and then answer it yourself? In the end, don't be surprised that a consensus made by men in a strongly patriarchal society might sometimes favor the position of the men and less so that of the women. See the verse you just compeleted. Of course, this does not apply to Muslim men marrying Ahlu el kitaab, which is what all on here were saying all along.
  22. ^^ And yet, I do understand. War is geeji and rise above the sudden shock. Unrest and a few skirmishes (for that is what it is here)is nothing new in that part of the world. What next? Take a break from collecting the hasty qaraan and think it through for a second, adeer.
  23. GWonder & alimos are making it up as they go along. Hey, it's a free world.
  24. Guru, I'm not sure this is a time for preening, saaxib. These entire (sudden) incidents stink of something ugly. Now it wont come as a great surprise that some in that part would resist the elections or anything to do with SL but that's really neither here or there. The real worry is what Riyaale & Co are up to here. A confrontation (of any kind) is the last thing SL needs. A fight where innocents lose their life has NEVER been worthy of any country with dreams of democracy, fairness and justice. P.S. This does not at all mean you should not carry on putting opportunist Xiinon the spot, of course. P.P.S Jb is talking about the elections.
