^^ Actually, you're right. It is for memory. Memory of the hedious outfit heblaayo wore on such and such wedding or the ugliness of the hall.
-
^^ Didn't have enough time but you get the idea. Now tell me it's for memory.

Little Najma watched as her eldest sister spoke on the phone. She was telling someone that she's picking up something that same night. Najma was not sure what her sister was talking about. When the sister (Cibaado) got off the phone, Najma attempted to ask her. Cibaado got upset and told her to mind her own business. "You are too young for this stuff" she added. The phone rang again and Cibaado picked it up. Cibaado: What? No. I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't think it's out yet. No, not me. Who told you anyway? Oh what a great liar! Err..no..no trust me, I know nothing about it. Ok, I'll speak to you later. Najma was again puzzled. She wanted to ask Cibaado about this phone call too but was scared she'll get a telling off like last time. At any rate, Cibaado was eyeing her suspiciously whilst dialing a new number on the phone. Cibaado: Haa! I just got a phone call from Shamsa, she knows! No, no, she really knows. She just asked me when am I picking 'IT' up and who else is going with me. No, no, I lied and told her that I knew nothing about it. I told her it is not out yet. No, Shamsa has a big mouth we can't trust her with this. Who? How did she find out? No, honestly, I have not told anyone. Ok, listen, I am going to phone Ismahan and tell her not to give it to anyone else. She promised we will be the first to have it and she must keep her promise. Ok, I'll call her now. Young Najma was feeling as bored as a neglected wife but she was also curious and wanted to find out about this secret thing that her sister is getting. Meanwhile, Cibaado was dialing yet another number. Cibaado: Hello. Hi Ismahan. How are you...what? Me? No, I didn't. Actually, that is why I phoned you...she said what? But she does not know that I know! Well, I hope you didn't believe her. Good. Good. I've got to have it first and when I'm done you can give it to whoever you choose. Since when? But you promised. Ok, ok, how long? I can't go to her house. We have not spoken for months. No, you get it from her and I'll come and pick it up from you. Yes, tonight. YOU PROMISED. Ok, thanks darling. I'll phone you when I'm on the way. Najma couldn't contain her curiosity and quickly blurted out the question "what is this important thing that you're going to pick up tonight, sis?" Cibaado ignored her and started dialing a new number. Cibaado: Hi Amran, want to come round mine tonight? Yes, I got it. Well, actually, I am going to get it later. But you have to be there. No, I am not sure I can hold on to it for long. No, there is no time for that. You have to come. Ok, I'll see you later. Bye. Later that evening, Cibaado and her friends were all sat in front of the TV and chatting animatedly. Cibaado: When you told me she was wearing pink socks I really thought you were joking. GOD, the woman has no sense of fashion. Amran: Wattaa! Wattaa! Didn't I say the zit on her face can be seen from miles away? Bal eeg! Little Najma sat in the corner shaking her head and wondering why these grown women are badmouthing a wedding they actually went to.

^^ Thus spoke the man I'll only accept as being taller than me. Had me looking so far up I wouldn't have been surprised if a coconut fell on my head.

^^ I don't know about JB being ugly or handsome, saaxib. I am not really a good judge of these things. All I know is that when I was walking with him down a street in hargeisa a cat saw him and ran away.

The people of May 18th are very famous. They're exactly like the people of January first but their flight was late. Salaam deleted (since they all agreed you're the only one we can say hello to).
-
Brilliant. Maybe you should organise your own play.

^^ Adeero google waa faxal, saaxib. Hamlet, Othello and Macbeth are the only ones I fully read (I read bits of others). It wasn't hard to find a quote that fits a Somali photo. I like the Faroole one the best (most SSC poeple think exactly like that). Siilaanyo is obvious and the first one with the three sitting together had to have a quote from the witches.

The last time Spain played against Germany.

^^ Stop it now. The mad one will turn your complaint into a chance to brag about the potency of the D Block gene.

I get the feeling you're going to meet your very own accident on this site soon.

"O villain, villain, smiling, damned villain!" Hamlet (I, v, 106) "Give me my robe, put on my crown; I have Immortal longings in me." Antony and Cleopatra (V, ii, 282-283) Hamlet: A little more than kin, and less than kind. Hamlet Act 1, scene 2, 64–67 "He's mad that trusts in the tameness of a wolf, a horse's health, a boy's love, or a whore's oath." King Lear (III, vi, 19-21) "Nothing can come of nothing: speak again." King Lear (I, i, 92)

Somalis and the Bard? "When shall we three meet again In thunder, lightning, or in rain?" Macbeth (I, i, 1-2) "And thus I clothe my naked villany With odd old ends stol'n out of holy writ, And seem a saint, when most I play the devil." King Richard III (I, iii, 336-338) O, beware, my lord, of jealousy; It is the green-ey'd monster, which doth mock The meat it feeds on. That cuckold lives in bliss, Who, certain of his fate, loves not his wronger: But O, what damnèd minutes tells he o'er Who dotes, yet doubts, suspects, yet strongly loves! Othello Act 3, scene 3, 165–171 Marcus Antonius: For Brutus, as you know, was Caesar's angel. Judge, O you gods, how dearly Caesar lov'd him! This was the most unkindest cut of all; For when the noble Caesar saw him stab, Ingratitude, more strong than traitors' arms, Quite vanquish'd him: then burst his mighty heart. . . . Julius Caesar Act 3, scene 2, 181–186

I am surprised anyone actually watches those debates on U TV. What exactly happend anyway?

^^ Hasn't been a good week for Duke.

Warya A&T, what your wrote above is the same as the classic 'taking your ball home'. Naga daa dee, you are not Dunga (he can resign but you can't). P.S. Brazil played good football and were outdone by some back luck and Dutch indha adeeg (I mean that Dutch team had no way in hell of coming back into that game until their fluke goal was scored). As for Ghana, Harry Kewel was probably heard muttering to himself something about what goes around coming around. (he got sent off against Ghana for a handball that really wasn't).

^^ Now that's PR. Did he hire a speech writer you think?
-
^^ It is good PR but (and you can call me whatever you like) I feel it's the wrong kind of PR. It sets the bar at an crazy height and it is almost impossible to maintain. Kulmiye won the election, not Somaliland. UCID & UDUB still exist and will contest the next election. So what is the need for this crazy idea of 'come and help me set up a government'? Qaalib, Were you 100% behind Riyaale when he was president? Siyaasada khalad baad o fahantay, saaxib. By your logic, I was a muxaafid before and now I am a mucaarid. Dee i daaa. Malika!

^^ hadana iyagoo daba jilcsan they won the 2008 Euro final, guess against whom? Norf, Veron would have been outnumbered in the middle. Maradona got it wrong by playing three up front. This would have been a perfect game for Milito (ala Inter style). Should have gone for 4-5-1 and surprised the Germans. Ghana did it well in their final group game. Did you see how Haguain and Messi hardly made any tackles in that game? Poor Tevez ran about and chased things but gave up in the end.

^^ Don't you smell a whiff of Blair, Obama & Sheikh Sharif about all this goody goody "lets hold hands and choose a cabinet together" thing? Or am I being a cynic again? Anyway, when I read the title I was expecting it to end with "..then falls down and pulls a muscle".

Bring on the Germans. La roja played well against (yet another) defensive minded team and finally got their reward. The Germans will also defend but, against Spain (unlike England & Argentina) they will face two holding players plus Xavi and Ineista all congesting the middle of the park and keeping Swinetiger ( ) busy with extra defensive duties rather than playmaking. With Muller suspended, Podolski having to track back against the forward running Ramos and Klose being closely watched by the excellent Pique, the only German threat is likely to come from bloody Ozil. If Spain don't concede first (like England, Argentina and Australia) I comfortably believe that they'll win this game with goals to spare. But if the Germans are given a head start I can see this being a very close encounter. Viva Espana.

Melo was man of the match. He set up a goal, scored a goal and got sent off.

Norf, the preening prince played really well but I still reckon that Gyan was the heart and soul of that team. I mean to play up front on your own for five games and still keep running and chasing lost causes in extra time is impressive. To miss a spot kick in the last minute yet be th first man to step up for the first one again (and score) makes you super human. P.S. I still don't see what people saw in Ayew! He was good but he was also the team's headless chicken. Still, he is young and shows great potential. Heh@Bob
