"If thou dost marry, I’ll give thee this plague for thy dowry. Be thou as chaste as ice, as pure as snow, thou shalt not escape calumny. Get thee to a nunnery, go. Farewell. Or, if thou wilt needs marry, marry a fool, for wise men know well enough what monsters you make of them. To a nunnery, go, and quickly too. Farewell." Eesh cala ya Hamlet.

Ibti, I didn't want to make it personal with poor young Alpha. Morning all.

The Clash (what an apt name) had a great song called "Rockin The Casbah". Ever since Sheikh Sharif came into the Somali political scene and I heard or read his name in some news, I would have that song play in my internal jukebox (## Sharif don't like it..rocking the casbah..rocking the casbah ##). I wonder if those lyrics can be manipulated. p.s. Mooge, maybe you should start a thread called "Coffee Shop Tales" and update us daily on the goings on in coffee shops around the world.

Somalia in the top 5 for worst place in the world for women

Stuff and nonesense. The majority of Somali women actively particapite in and prolong their own suffering. Somalia should be struck out of this list. Somali women are not as meek as those from other countries and play a huge part in maintaining the appalling conditions they live under. Naga daaya dee. -
Norf, old Charlie will make a good squad player. Plus, his corner kicks and crosses are miles better than those of Gerrard. Morning all.

Jacaylbaro;728549 wrote: I still failed to see something new here .................. You're not looking dee. In Carta, lots of Somalis were there to agree some sort of peace. In Kenya, the agreement there also had many sides. In Djibouti, there were also lots of sides. In Kampala, they have been whittled down to two men. Next "accord" will be between Sharif Xasan and his own shadow.

Only number one is the substance of the accord, saaxib. The rest was ever thus.

Nice and warm in London town.

^^ All of that makes no difference today (wax fahan). The man was a mere pawn in the dispute between the two Sharifs. Both those guys and the "International Community" decided that he is surplus to requirements now. Because of the "power" of those that sacked him, there is no chance in hell that he could keep his job (at this point in time). This means that all the good work that he did (in the eyes of Jamelia and various other Somalis) amounts to nothing at all. The gains he's made as prime minister of Somalia are (almost) all lost now. However, the gains he made for being Farmaajo(i.e. good will, etc) will remain (as is evidenced by your reactions) until and unless he does not go and do something silly to ruin it all. Clear?

^^ I was talking about besbaas but Norf thought it was Pippa the name (as for ina Middleton, oh how the Greeks laughed).
-
^^ Pippa in Greek has an entirely different meaning and, for some, it also could be an answer to all questions.

Pepper! PEPPER!! Pepper is the answer to all my questions.

Jamelia;727645 wrote: He has the reputation he has because of his good work in Somalia the short while he was PM....There's no need to imply otherwise.... Nonesense. The "good work" is what you think he did. He did not get the chance to finish it and Somalia is more or less what it was when he took over. Don't confuse "good will" and fact here. The man has the good will but if he chooses to fight a losing battle (and this one looks like being one) he will, sooner or later, also lose the good will.
