  3. Originally posted by J.a.c.a.y.l.b.a.r.o: The guy looks like a Giant in this picture what has he being eating??? i remembered a guy from siera leone who used to documentaries and he visited this african tribe once and because they were all skines and he was bit on the chuppy said they started to point their arrows on him as they thought that he eat people and thats why he was fat. everything reminds of something i have seen before  don't post anything, otherwise i'll flood the whole sol with my memories.
  4. LOOL No!! none that happened.. Apparently they first really stared at each other for long time and then people looked at them, realised something was wrong they intervened. they were from different clans, the one being chased and who had family members killed was from norht east of somalia and the other was from southern somalia. to cut the story short, the wedding turn into a clan conference afterwards and apparently the guy from the south asked to be forgiven and they have started a long process of reconcialition and the last i heard the guy from south was to pay a lot of money to the guy from NE and negotiations are still continueing. there is till hope left for somalia if these two can make up.
  5. i went to a wedding recently where this two clans were marrying from one another. during the girl giving away ceremony , the elders they kept saying how good it is that our tradition and bonds are united by marriage from one anothers clans, plus all other niceties etc etc. however two guys who met at the wedding used to work together in the pasta factory in mogadishu and when they last saw each other one of them was chasing the other with gun. what do you think happened when they saw each other?
  6. reading his book 'first footsteps in east africa' i concluded the guy was homosexual, as gay as they come. every chapter, he kept going on about this "fit looking boy" and "slander, firm skin, handsome looking boy" etc, which lead me to belief the guy was homosexual..
  7. Sad thing is, Soomaalidu weligeed qabyaalad ma daynayso. But they sure hell can used it the right way as it was intended. you must understand i am not totally against the whole idea of clan/tribe/lineage etc. what i am 100% against is; it's UGLY & DETRIMENTAL USE hence my support for the banning of clanism untill we learned to use it the right way.
  8. LOL - you must have been listening to Bob Marley. Now sing with me: "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right. Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!" Rise up this mornin', Smiled with the risin' sun, Three little birds Pitch by my doorstep Singin' sweet songs Of melodies pure and true, Sayin', ("This is my message to you-ou-ou:")
  9. ^^^^on that i actually agree with you 100% - but what i am talking about is a lot bigger than that my friend. i am trying to taste the marrow of mr timacades poem and enjoy it. whilst warning others not fall into the trap of the ugly objectives of single minded clanism, which leads to shortsightness. whilst is not good to generalise anything, i actually think that the most patriiotic somalis of all time have come from the North and if they succed in separating from the rest of somalis, then it would be pretty much doom and gloom for a long while.
  10. xasuus iyo xasuus waxaan kalo soo xasuustay, calentii kasoo dhici jirtay geedka kuyaal dayaxa marki qof dhinto. Alla, maxaan caleenta radiyeey!!! qofna caleentas ma helay?
  11. saqajaan What? do you mean the saqajaan that was on sol? Seriously thought - i think the woman has done everthing right after the initial mistake of going along with the secrecy.
  12. ^^^i think you have been to harsh on the woman - she has part blame - not all the blame. what is worst the man denying the whole thing or the mistakes of the woman in agreeing to the whole in the first place? Edit: plus she saved a life by not agreeing to the abortion.
  13. We started with two, it didn't work sow maaha. The third one went alone and decided not to join. The other two are occupied. When two are occupied, One is not willing to join and the union of the two terribly failed then what is the alternative ?? For me the question is why didn't all these work? Answer: becuase of Qabyaalad qaloocan For me the alternative is not to make the situation even worse, by either quitting the union of brotherhood (and sisterhood)or never wanting to join etc. i am not blind to the reality, i do understand my peoples concerns and agree sometimes current situation of divisions might be saving some lives whilst ruining others instead of everything being ruined.but the divisions hurt the long term and if the goal is the long term survival of the somali ethnic group, then something have to give and we need to change our act and not wait for the next generation. however i am ever hopefull that one day we will have that proper brother/sisterhood and the way to achieve that is for average general members of the popolous to heed the advice of our forefathers and more importantly the call of UNITY from our Prophet (SCW) and adherence to Advice of Allah (SWT) in holding on to his rope. agreeing with the above statements requires action more than head nodding. by action i mean implementing the advice in our lives, teaching our children, convicing our extended family member, our neighbours, online etc etc there is no point in beleiving something then contradicting it in our lives. i belief this is the worst hypocrisy of all.
  14. JB The union wuxuu ahaa 2 gobol keliya. in refernce to what you said here. i am saying if the two (gobols' union) does not work, then we won't have third gobol or fourth gobol or even fith gobol joining a union for that matter it that clear now? the rest were my understanding/interpertation of the great man's lyrical stance on the divisive issues. i.e that if we are united and agree on principles that we uphold, then no one will be better than us, however if we don't then we surely make ourselves losers and cut each others heels so as no to move forward? hopefully that is clearer - now do you agree with my understanding of these verses or do you have better interpertations/understanding you can offer us?
  15. Something is definitely fishy about the story - if it is true another shameful act to our already long list of shamefull acts that occur under the somali name. i am no longer surprised by the surprises, but i do get shocked once in while. when lives are built upon lies - they tend to crack and fall apart.
  16. No one has red eyes 24/7, unless they eat people or on drugs....so which is it?? maybe it was all those poor defenceless animals that he extinct
  17. if the two don't work you won't three or four or five for that matter, i think he was saying if these things (i.e Doc haddey u wada jeedsatoo dhowrto danaheeda & Oo duul walaala ah tahoo duunka ka heshiiso) happen then ( Dadka kama yaraateene ) however if it doesn't then ( weys dabar-jareysaane Don't you agree?
  18. LOOOOOOOOOOOL @JB & Nuune isuu fanaya - War hooy fanka waa lagu kufa. Bloody Somali carnivores - reminds of the chinese saying "Eat if it doesn't eat you" Ugaartii soomaaliya ya cunay? JB iyo Nuune
  19. Doc haddey u wada jeedsatoo dhowrto danaheeda Oo duul walaala ah tahoo duunka ka heshiiso Dadka kama yaraateene weys dabar-jareysaane what do you think about this three lines in reference to the topic of "dhulkasoomaaliyeed vs Soomaaliweyn"? Please analyse the three verses carefully before posting and think about each one's meaning.
  20. Ibti - You Won get over it, you don't have to rub it in my face. Wali geedkii quraanyada laha oo aad igu xirtay ban la xogxoganaya. Nuune = faanka jooji - aadiga dhameyay durba joogta soomaaliya?
  21. i also agree that no is perfect, but when it comes to Qaddiyadda Foosha Xun ee Qabyaaladda, i can safely say that i am perfectly clean from that, Alxamdullilaah. Do you not think supporting the 'Dhulkasoomaaliyeed' entity over 'Soomaaliweyn' can be interperting as being a bit clanistic?.

  23. Its good that you agree with what he saying, and i agree that the question is for all somalis - but do you enact any of things his talking about/warning against in your life?
  24. Bakayle aa? - you properly eat every kind of animal in somalia? weli ma cuntay - the great buster (i forget it's somali name) it roames around the badiye and its maraq is the best for all kinds of illness in somalia. the best meat i ever eat was sagaaro meat - i swear sometimes i have this strange taste in my mouth, and i suddenly think of sagaaro hello Ibti?
  25. Ilaahay ha u naxariisto ninkaas soomaali oo dhan wuu ka horeeyay But why don't we take his advice????? Do you belief/agree in what he is saying? -
