  5. It seems inan ku gafey Bob who is a true Somali with little (if any) clan loyalty. I guess that is probably why the idea of Somali clans being constructed identities with little facts or links to the said origins appeals to him. With that in mind, I take back my previous dig at Kismayo and its implications and my sincere apologies to Bob.
  6. Syrians like their president, and population is too well controlled. I'd say Algeria, jordan, Yemen, Morocco and Libya need a change- not sure they will demand it and if they do whether attain it or they can handle it. I'm not a fan of chaos so I wish for a peaceful transition. I'm particularly worried about algeria and Morocco- one is prone to civil war the other half the population is addicted to drugs.
  7. Lol adam! That made me laugh. Looool nice to hear about a mulla with a sense of humour!! Lol.
  8. BOB, Not really- The first post was wack, your complaints (I feel sorry for your friend and all, and it looks like Allah has blessed him anyway) wa iska calcal.com. Besides I know you are really into all that clan stuff in real life. Kismayo ayad everyone afka ka marmarisa, lakin those who claim Burco ayad ka sasta. Now enjoy reading my Somali above- there is my hijacking for the day done. P.s. W/salam

  14. Hosni Mubarak has decided to step down as president of Egypt. Vice-President Omar Suleiman made the announcement in a brief statement on state TV. It came as thousands massed in Cairo and other Egyptian cities for an 18th day of protest to demand Mr Mubarak's resignation. Protesters responded by cheering, waving flags, embracing and sounding car horns. "The people have brought down the regime," they chanted. Mr Suleiman said Mr Mubarak had handed power to the high command of the armed forces. "In the name of God the merciful, the compassionate, citizens, during these very difficult circumstances Egypt is going through, President Hosni Mubarak has decided to step down from the office of president of the republic and has charged the high council of the armed forces to administer the affairs of the country," he said. "May God help everybody." BBC

  17. Adam 10-15yrs they just use to take the whole tooth out- no one bothered with root canal.
  18. Sayid, I sort of know why; "building stability - accepting reality"
  19. Adam watch Somali men debate loudly not listening to each other, usual my clan is better than yours, and then few white people presentations which are the only ones they shut up long enough to listen to or respect enough to listen to. They speak all over the Somali presenters and show disregard and disrespect by chatting amongst themselves. IF all that is not bad enough, the Q&A will kill you a slow painful death or a sprint for the front door, while farah hogs the mic and says rubbish for 20mins with no question in sight.
  20. Adam painless aah? Waan suxii gadey with shock iyo mild pain it was not too bad in the end.
  21. I heard Somaliland got invited and accepted to present their case about nation building after conflict. Somaliland to attend Somalia conference for first time 7 Feb 7, 2011 - 5:19:51 PM Officials from Somalia's unrecognized separatist republic of Somaliland will attend a conference to discuss post-transition in Somalia being held in the United Kingdom, Radio Garowe reports. Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Omar, Somaliland's foreign minister, flew from the regional capital Hargeisa en route to London, UK. Mr. Omar's office issued a press statement the "international community directly invited Somaliland" to the conference being held in London. "Somaliland was asked to share with the international community its experience in peace, nation-building and political accord," read Mr. Omar's press statement, which went on to ask the international community for "political recognition." Located in northwestern Somalia, Somaliland unilaterally declared independence from the rest of the country in 1991 but has not been recognized internationally. Somaliland's policy has been to avoid attending conferences where Somalia-related issues were discussed, regionally or internationally. But it is the first time Somaliland officials are attending such a major conference specifically aimed at discussions on how to manage the post-transition of the TFG, whose term expires in August, 2011. Also attending the conference is Puntland State Minister for International Cooperation Prof. Abdulkadir Abdi Hashi and Mr. Mohamed Hassan Barre, the head of Puntland's Liaison Office in Nairobi, Kenya. The conference comes at a time the bloated 550-seat TFG Parliament voted to extend its mandate by three years. The term-extension has been openly opposed by the U.N., the U.S., the E.U., and most recently, by the Puntland government which supports a federal Somalia. GAROWE ONLINE
