  5. ^^^They are both dreaming, what is your point? Neither Somaliland nor Puntiland have what could be termed as a "powerful military mighty" few skinny's running around with an AK47 is hardly an expression of ones mighty. JB and Dukey can wake me up when one of them (Puntiland or SL) gets nukes or those laser guided M40A46 guns, or military planes JB: Warrerka naag taa, after nearly 20years I expect SL to pull off a registration process, in fact you should've mastered the process by now. aim high my nigga, don't be proud of the little cheers, when the icing is still missing. Pluz reeri iis faanis waa iis nuukey Say Mashallah/ Alhumdulilah baal first. P.s. I'm still proud of Burco though, Wow Wow
  6. Cynical lady yeah I do, even if nothing else, it means I remind people of what is going on, even if they make dua as result of that reminder, or they e-mail their MP, or News outlet, or they give £5 at the local mosque or they have a heighten awareness of what is going on ( and therefore they do not fall for lies such as those supported in your current signature) , then it was not in vain. The thing with any campaigns is that it might or might not result in direct action, that is a risk you have to take.
  7. A& T, if you want to patronize someone, then you picked the wrong person. You can bark all day and post lengthy responses and rhetorical questions, but the fact remains that you nor Abu Mansoor has a creditable solution for Somalia, therefore you are really not in a place to mock anyone. At the end of the day, it is easy to stand on the sideline and hurl abuses, it is even easier to pick holes in someone’s plan and spot all that they have missed, as a human you will never be satisfied and you will always find short comings in every leader or group. Xiin or anyone who supported the Caravan even when it become beyond obvious that it was not going to work, is no worse than people who support any other fractions or warlords. So A&T until you and Mr. Mansoor can throw a plan on the table that does not involve drafting young 14year old boys to become brainwashed and addicted to human blood and killing, you can get off your high horse. Your so called leader, is doing more damage in the future by influencing and whole new generation whose only knowledge and interaction with others involves no more than pointing a gun and killing those who oppose you.
  8. Lol AfricaOwn. Cynical go ahead, but before you ask, no, one pays me Naah seriously go ahead.
  9. Israel accepts truce 'principles' Israel briefly halted its military operations in Gaza to allow in aid Israel has agreed "on the principles" of a ceasefire proposal, raising hopes of an end to its conflict with Palestinian militants in Gaza. "The challenge now is to get the details to match the principles," Israeli spokesman Mark Regev said. The Palestinian militant group Hamas said there were "positive signs but no agreement yet". The development came as Israel halted military operations in Gaza for three hours to aid humanitarian efforts. The lull, which began about 1100 GMT and ended shortly after 1400 GMT, was the first of what an Israeli spokesman said would be a daily ceasefire to allow Gazans to "get medical attention, get supplies... whatever they need". News agencies reported that Gaza residents had rushed out into the streets during the lull to stock up on food and visit relatives in hospital. Israel and Hamas have been under pressure to accept a diplomatic solution to the conflict, which began on 27 December. BBC
  10. Originally posted by xiinfaniin: wax waalan We’ll never abandon the notion of reconciling divided Somalis. We are convinced that it’s the division among Somalis that’s causing this mayhem and giving the enemy the advantage it has. What we supported in the form of Jabbuuti Peace Caravan may or may not work. But trying it was not wrong. I wish I could nail that manifesto in Aw Tusbaxle’s head. Barre’s tailgate of Ethiopian tanks, and AbdiWaal’s Ahlusunnah nonsense will be ineffective. All eyes are on Nure and Madoobe, and what they do next. If they indorse the apparent reemergence of warlords, then Sharif alone wouldn’t hold to a broken agreement. If they however start implementing what was agreed, starting diluting the corrupt parliament and electing competent President and PM, then the caravan imperfect as it may be will make a progress. And that’s the last word. That is fair enough, as predicted if it fails, it is not the Good sharif's fault dee. All jokes aside, you cannot help but agree with this; "...form of Jabbuuti Peace Caravan may or may not work. But trying it was not wrong." It was just another option to try.
  11. I've not had any chocolates for almost three weeks, in fact last night I could not even eat my cake. I just got some Ferrero Rocher, looking to break my fast with them. Yummy
  12. The One Who Is Suffering Injustice and Oppression The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to Mua’ad Ibn Jabal (RA), ‘Beware of the supplication of the unjustly treated, because there is no shelter or veil between it (the supplication of the one who is suffering injustice) and Allah (SWT)’ [sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim] The prophet (SAW) declared, ‘Three men whose dua is never rejected (by Allah) are: the fasting person until he breaks his fast (in another narration, when he breaks fast), the just ruler and the one who is oppressed.’[Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi - Hasan] In another hadith; The Prophet (SAW) declared: ‘Three du’as are surely answered: The du’a of the oppressed, the du’a of the traveler, and the du’a of the father/mother (upon their child)’. The One who is suffering injustice is heard by Allah (SWT) when he invokes Allah (SWT) to retain his rights from the unjust one or oppressor. Allah (SWT) has sworn to help the one who is suffering from injustice sooner or later as the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said.
  13. ^^Ngonge & A&T, come on, are you having a laugh, both of them. Baal lets wait for your response.
  14. Mr. Maagaaca baadeen, AKA A&T Pity does not build or destory. I have a balanced opinion and can see from both ends. I can't say the same for you. Brainwashing can work in both ways. Mightiness propaganda you say, I believe haada you are just emotional having a little outburst, but I'm sure once you compose yourself and look back you will agree with most, if not all of what I've said.
  15. Hezbollah, Hamas those conflicts are skirmishes not conventional wars! It's here where the Arabs are the underdogs. The real wars against actual armies is where the Israelis were fighting for their survival and repulsed their enemies. Sure they received help but so did the Arabs from 'other places'(remember the superpower called the Soviet Union?). Please don't create the impression that without the US the Arab armies would simply walk all over the Israelis cause that's just laughable. Even moreso today now that they have an advanced tradition of military technology that even the Chinese are trying to purchase. Shame on the Arab governments for allowing the Israelis to surpass them in terms of technology. When Richard the Lionheart hit the muslims with Trebuchets Salah ad din and his military officers replied in kind. . I here by officially declare my undying love for Adam-Zayla Thank you, thank you, May Allah bless you and increase your knowledge and understanding. Now if we had more brothers like Adam rather waaxan maadax waad quufulanyihin Currently the Israelis are unique in the region when compared to neighbouring armies who have the same military technology or with their wealth could upgrade themselves to the Israeli level(including Nukes see my Twenty countries theory'). Can I add that Israel is so advance in weaponry and new developments that they really do not even need America anymore. In fact, Israel feared that they might become a strategic liability to America, and have been preparing for years to be self sufficient, which they have been for a while now. a sinister billionaire could enter the life of a random happy loving couple and turn their marriage of equality, compromise and love into one of hatred, paranoia and mistrust through calculated schemes. You can't really hold it against them for feeling this way about eachother when a whole team of saboteurs played tricks on them. I could not have said it better. The West is not the 'world' as Iranians have shown, so cutting ties with them is not the end of the 'world'. No truer words have been spoken, the world has proven to be larger than America. It's like a trend, nobody is really bothered anymore about Iraq that has lost 1 million of it's sons and daughters and continues to lose hundreds every month, Palestine is IN now not Iraq, not Congo, not Chechnya and not Somalia! i think that's what's bothering 'me'. Adam, I think here what I can say is that our reactions are controlled by knowledge, this is interlinked with the media, and when the media plates turn from you (Somalia, Iraq) then it becomes your suffering is out of sight, out of mind. People are reacting because the comfortable, painful suffering is in our faces, and it makes us uncomfortable in our comfortable world. But once it is not in our face 24/7, then only those who seek to find out and dig around will find information and remain motivated. Also I think you get use to things, we have become conditioned to seeing death and distraction on daily basis in Iraq and Afganisatan and in Somalia, to the extent that I hear comments like “kuuwi aya laa lalehin again, or beelaadi baa iis cuunisa again, and the masakeen died (Somalia warlords). It becomes normality. Palestine has been under siege for so long, and oppressed for even longer, and every time there is an intensification of violence and it comes on our screens, we react again. There have been many intifadas.
  16. ^^^You are going to have a field day now soo maahah. Lol
  17. What would be the point of repairing things if three hours later they are going to bomb the hell out of it again. Humanitarian aid is so depressing, sometimes I wonder if it is even worth it.
  18. ^^The credit crunch happened dee, the pound hit the floor and dahaab went sky high I don't mind Ngonge's Nacnac you know, I know he's got a good heart, pluz CL told me, she saw him hiding under the table and calling Palestine (Istaghfurallah, a lie Me tell )
  19. ^^^LOOOOL. How is it going?? so when is the next feast *Burp*.
  20. Ngonge, I'm sure even Rudy can manage the Islamic greeting and "allah Macakuum" and yes I believe peeople in SOL are international, now stop wasting my time with your negativity.
  21. ^^For me yes, not for others, Who don't know anyone and call random.
  22. ^^^It is has become symbolic for protest and for showing disgust, disrespect and all the other notions associated with it, I think it was mainly the Arabs and Somalis.
  23. Please "ME" Don't follow me around hijacking threads about Palestine and turning them into debates about Somalia and the Somali problem. I do often post about Somalia and the struggles that people are going through back home, however in the light of current events I have shifted my priorities. IF Somalia is still your number one priority, then by all means open up separate threads and people will happily comment. However it is quite childish and unfair to peep up every time with "What about Somalia" in a thread about Palestine. There is no competition in suffering and there is no comparison on the level of atrocities, the extent, the concentration of violence and the scale of violence or even the cause. Adam, like somalis Palestine has its worse enemies within, people who have sold their soul and their grandmothers to the Isrealis for few dollars. But I like your take on things.
  24. My advise is that you only call IF you 1) You speak Arabic and 2) Or you know the person on the otherside or you have something solid to say. I know many Palestines online, who I've never met, but who like you, nuune, Adam and/ or other SOLers I know from Pro Palestine groups or facebook. I would only call them. My Arabic is not good enough to call a stranger and say why I'm calling without crying and depressing them fruther.
  25. ^^^Took spare shoes dee, you don't throw the ones you are wearing, I think everyone had a bag of old shoes with them.
