LOL, let me try calling. I think the poll is open till Monday, so please people text the word Ceasefire to 81819, it costs 10p only!!! Also you've probably heard of a political commentator called Melanie Phillips. She is a highliy controversial journalist known for her unconditional support of Israel, including most recently supporting the bombardment of Gaza's civilians, further to this she believes that Israeli Settlements in Occupied Palestinian Terrirtories are legal entitlements here here and here She also holds highly Islamophobic views, including the belief that terrorism is mandated by religious teachings of Islam. It may interest you to know that she is a regular columnist for the Daily Mail and her support for the bombardment of Gaza appeared in the Mail. Unbelievably she is up for an award of best UK blog and at this moment in time she is winning with a 0.1% lead over her nearest rival, "Created in Birmingham", which is a blog for the creative community of Birmingham like musicians and artists. A victory for her will legitimise her highly negative and absurd views therefore it's essential she doesn't win. Please click on the link below and vote for the Created in Birmingham Blog. There is no point in voting for someone else, as they will not catch up at this rate. The reason for voting for this particular blog over any other is that it's the nearest to her in the polls and focusing all votes to this blog won't dilute the effect of your vote. This action should hopefully push it ahead of Melanie Phillips. Click the link on the right to go to the poll page - Best UK BlogHERE Islamophobes and supporters of illegal acts must not be allowed any legitimacy and we can defeat them in avenues like this if no where else. Thanks in advance guys.

EDIT: I can't post the images, will try at work on monday... Allahu Akbar, over 50,000 people turned up according to BCC which I just checked, the police estimated 20,000. So many humans in such small place. Mashallah. About 100 trouble makers or so were battling with the police, mainly young angry kids. About ten people have been arrested for public order offences. The windows of a Starbucks was smashed and three police officers were injured as a minority of people threw missiles. Overall the protest was peacefully but problems started when the police tried to move demonstrators away from the gates of the Israeli embassy, people were trying to reach the embassy to paint it red or something. Somalis were out in force, Mashallah, the number of oldies and young girls on one of the coldest days! LOL Paragon @catching a lady, lol The orthodx Jews came out in force as did many white non Muslims.

Activists were planning Britain's biggest ever pro-Palestine demonstration as attacks continued in Gaza in defiance of a United Nations resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire. Organisers predict more than 100,000 people will join a massive march through central London on Saturday in protest at Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip. Celebrities including musician Brian Eno and film star Juliet Stevenson are expected to join in the procession from Hyde Park to the Israeli embassy in Kensington. Friday's air strikes by Israel's military hit more than 30 targets in Gaza, killing at least one child, while Hamas launched a barrage of rocket attacks on two cities in the Jewish state. The fresh waves of violence came as the UN called for an independent war crimes investigation into reports that Israeli soldiers shelled a house that they knew contained more than 100 Palestinians. Fourteen of the 15 members of the UN's security council backed a resolution to stop the conflict, with the US abstaining. After the vote Foreign Secretary David Miliband urged the international community to "turn the words into changes on the ground". But there was little sign of this happening as official death tolls since the conflict started on December 27 reached 777 Palestinians and 13 Israelis. Saturday's march will include rallies at the start and end addressed by speakers including Eno, Stevenson, former London mayor Ken Livingstone and Cherie Blair's half-sister Lauren Booth. The organisers -principally Stop the War Coalition, the British Muslim Initiative and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign - said they hoped there would be no repeat of the ugly clashes with police that marred a demonstration in London last Saturday.

Now you are telling me you suddenly hate Barre, when a few months ago you added him to the list of "quality Leaders" from Puntiland. You sure are nuts! Do you always change your views this fast? You must be really uncomfortable and insecure about Puntiland, because you cannot even stay on topic for 5mins without dragging SL in to try and use as a cover, maybe it works on others who suddenly get defensive and forget the original topic and start to defend SL, but it does not work on me dear. Stay on topic, as I said before open another thread for SL and we'll deal with them separately. I made my point, no point banging on about it, so good nyt.

^^^Can you read English, I believe I answered your question. Try reading it again for I'm not wasting my time WRIting it for you AGAIN in the SAME page. Qalibi Adgey: You are drawing a comparison about Nazi and SNM?? I think you need to read the history of SNM, I don't need to defend SNM history or what happened in Awdal because it is a done issue, they acknowledge their mistakes, so how can I deny it. I would not defend what they did, never, even if they were defending it or trying to justify it, which they are not. Lets break it down for you in big writing. 1) what happened in Awdal was wrong 2) What happened was discussed and addressed 3) What happened in Awdal is not the whole history of SNM (we can expand on this another time if you want) 4) SNM is not SomaliLand 5) SNM never wanted Somaliland. I cannot make it anymore simpler or clear for you, and Again you are arguing for the sake of arguing, so I'll leave you to it, I'm out.
-
^^Yes, there were representative from Burco, Hargisa and Berbera present at the conference when these issues were addressed and sorted out, the reconciliation conference was held in Broama. What is your point?
-
General Duke, if you go to work, and when you arrive home, you take off the shirt you was wearing and you put on another dirty shirt; you can say you changed, but you cannot say you smell better or are cleaner, it is just matter of how dirty. Weeli Somaliland baad ii daaba waada, possible because the vice president borrowed a shirt from them Let it go dear.
-
^^^SNM was not formed for Awdal nor was Awdal their target or purpose, that is how I know. What happened in Awdal by no means represents or signifies SNM history- it is a small part of it, important enought for people in Somaliland that it was addressed as early as in 1993. Are you just arguing for the sake of it? Do you know anything about SNM or are you just trying to add to the chatter and the lies Somali Castro is pushing?
-
^^^Why is it when someone mentions Puntiland and their mistakes, you feel the need to make yourself feel better by attacking Somaliland. This comparison is just pointless and one can in circles all day with this. It is a shame if the only competition that is going on is based on making yourself feel better about your mistakes. We'll deal with Somaliland in a thread dedicated to Somaliland, open it yourself if you want, but this one HERE is about Puntiland. Adgey: It is only by looking at your mistakes that one can improve in the future and avoide the same mistakes. Time will tell, but I don't think brushing the mistakes under the table will work to puntilands overall advantage.
-
Your whole argument flawed because what you are saying is compared to the scumbags in africa, he is less of a scumbag, I'm telling you to aim higher, evidently puntiland can do better and has better people than these individuals, it has the capacity and potenial and these warlords are just dragging it down. If hate could do something, SL would be dust of dead people, if it has not harmed SL or any place in the world, it certainly won't do anything to puntiland, so don't wory your little self over it.
-
Now you are jumping from one thing to another. Yes they were formed in London, your POINT is??? They were political refugees in exile, who left the country to escape with their life’s and then went back to safe their families. What has this got to do with the previous lies you was peddling???. It does not matter whether somaliland exists or not, but SNM and Somaliland are two different issues, deal with things one at a time. Adegy: I cannot comment on what I did not see. I'm sure SNM committed some crimes in Awdal, and there were conferences to address that which reer Awdal participated in and they were compensated (if people's death can ever be compensated)in 1993. Most people in the north including me have and do condemn crimes that were committed there. But at the same time, it is wrong and a completely lie to try and say SNM run around massacring people for no reason. As for religion, each SNM fighter will have to answer to their lord based on his action and his intentions. Some where Mujaahiidin, others were jaahiliin, and Allah will deal with each one accordingly depending on whether they were defending their family or just trigger happy and pis*sed off.
-
Somali Castro, stop spreading lies, SNM did not aspire to Somaliland and many of them opposed Somalilands formation. So saying they were fighting for Somaliland is bullshid. SNM was a reactionary group formed for a specific purpose and no plans beyond that purpose.

Qalbu Adeyge. Unlike your hateful self, I wish nothing but the best for puntiland. I just get frustrated with them because they continuously shoot themselves in the foot by supporting the wrong and shameless trying to force it down everyone throat. I have no fantasies depicting people in puntiland into prisoners of war, nor do I want to subjugate them, I just wish they would learn that it is OKAY not to agree with your leaders/ former leaders, it is OKAY you don't have to stick up for every loser that happens to be from your clan and you certainly don't have to defend them. As for congratulating them for peaceful transfer of power, they are expected (after 10years) to transfer power safely and successfully, this is the same thing I say for Somaliland, you cannot be proud of something so simple (as transfer or in SL case registration), particularly when one has so much potential. I'll be proud and will congratulate them when they build cities, raise the living standard and invest in their population, or when their people have bigger aspirations that capturing or recapturing or fighting the skinny on the other side. Is pointless being proud at this stage, it means you have no hope and is content with below basic.

Subxanllah

Heheh @ the lies and sound bites, "he was a visionary leader and fair and democratic elections". You'll must be robots to keep repeating this without blinking. Just say we'll get better and do better next time. Stop shooting yourself in the foot by continuing to defend losers like Cadde and Yey. Or is it a case of “Qabili kina kaa weye” and therefore you cannot say anything negative or even balanced regardless of how bad they are.
-
So they want a bigger share of the pie rather than out of it all as few people here have been telling us. In fact if his numbers are correct, there are more politically active people in Awdal than Burco. The SNM history might not go down so well in Awdal, and probably unfair to make children forcefully take it in school (I don’t see the benefit of this other than make people live in the past) but I doubt anyone can reasonably argue that SNM massacred thousands of people for no apparent reason. What ever mistakes they made, they certainly were not motivated diigyo caab.

What on earth is going on?????? Naxar Nugaaleed Do you realise you have the Somaliland flag as avator?? miis I am missing a big joke? What did you do with the original Naxar Nugaaleed? P.s. There is something very strange going, This can't be as the result of the latest so called elections. Really people need to have more faith in what they believe in and give their newly formed wobbly states a chance. Are people jumping ship already because of few (ok big they may be) mistakes.

Faheema Wow, so nice to see you, do you have connection now?? Wlc back to earth LOL Hey lily, I need chocolate, Ms DD are you and Bilkiss up for some chocolate drink race late?? Hi to everyone else
