  1. You seem quite fixated on Puntland. Leave our 'villages' to us missy. The celebrations took place in many places throughout Somalia (from Ras Casayr to Ras Kamyambooni), but if you choose to ignore that, that's fine by me. I know you're in pain and are currently in tacsi-mood, but hun, take this from me..the ICU is dead and long gone. It'd be best for your health if you stopped thinking otherwise. Here's a link for your benefit: The 5 stages of Grief The last step is acceptance, so get back to me when you've reached that stage Inshallah.
  2. Concerned...now is this how you show concern? By trying to pin the rapes (which have not yet occurred) of Somali women on President Abdullahi and Prime Minister Geedi. If that isn't exploitation to the nth degree, I don't know what is. Shame on you, kiddo, shame on you.
  3. The troops are there to train the Somali forces. Read the newspaper kiddo or has your 'intelligence' failed you?
  4. Facts are Facts most Presidents of Somalia weren't elected by the people. Facts are Facts most Somalis are divided on many isssues, how is this any different. President Bush isn't liked by most Americans, but he's still the President, is he not? Facts are Facts, remnants of the ICU are behind the disturbance in Mogadishu. Facts are Fact President Abdullahi is the leader of Somalia.
  5. Somalithinker The parliament is comprised of people from all regions and clans. They (overwhelmingly) elected President Abdullahi. There were celebrations in many regions of Somalia, so I beg to differ. The parliament represents the people and they elected President Abdullahi, thus he is the uncontested leader of Somalia. You, of course, have the right to say he isn't your President..but like I said to Mystic, he is the President of Somalia. Edit: Mystic So you're telling me hundred of thousands (if not millions )of people are leaving Mogadishu? Pity no news agency has reported such a massive exodus.
  6. All major fighting has ended. The TFG isn't fighting the ICU because the ICU no longer exists. The TFG isn't fighting anyone. If you mean the disturbance in Mogadishu, it's only kids high on khat who get paid by clan court remnants to fire martors so these kids can buy more khat. Inshallah this problem will be solved soon.
  7. Originally posted by Centurion: Violet, i have much to capitalise on anyway, like i said i doubt any Somali woman would engage in an illicit affair with an AU soldier, why would they? To suggest such things might be common, is not only an insult to Somali women, but also ignorance; it is well known Somalis consider themselves 'above' Bantu Africans, and having an illicit affair with an AU soldier would not only be against Islam, but also against the aforementioned Somali view. Centurion, I didn't say most or many Somali woman would take part in such things, but I can't sit here and deny that some might. I didn't mean to be insulting, but it's really ignorant to think these types of events don't occur. We've all got our rotten apples. Mystic Stop using this as a way to insult the TFG. Exploiting the rape of women for your own gain is disgusting.
  8. Originally posted by mystic: Violet Two million people were living in Mogadishu while the civil war was going on, none of them left. Now, the reality is they are fleeing in large numbers. To blame is the Ethiopian and TFG. Swallow that piece of information. The yellow teethed man must have twisted what little intelligence you had. He is not a president by the way. He was never elected by the Somali PEOPLE! If you are educated about democracy and live in a democratic country you should at least know who is entitled to be president and who is not. A murderous warlord isn’t. If being elected by the Somali people is what makes one the President of Somalia, that would disqualify many of our former leaders including the person who held the title the longest; Maxamed Sayid Bare(Aun). President Abdullahi was elected by the Parliament and like it or not, each member of the parliament represents a constituency/riding and they, my friend, represent the Somali people. You can say President Abdullahi isn't your president, but he is the President of Somalia. I think it's pretty foolish of you to deny historic events. Many people left Mogadishu during various periods in the '90s. The number of Somalis leaving now can in no way be compared to the number of Somalis who left in the '90s. Chew on that. As for you questioning my intelligence, sorry to disappoint you madame, but it's not like I was waiting to hear a ringing endorsement from you.
  9. Originally posted by mystic: ^^^dude What percentage of Somali women in Somalia sleep around with Bantu men? These are known rapers, which had to be checked for HIV. Even if a Somali woman says no they will force themselves on her! I don't know what the % is and to be honest, I could careless. I'm not going to sit here and bother myself with things like that. If some woman wants to sleep around with Ugandan,Arab,Indian,Abos etc. it ain't my business. If however, these troops force themselves onto these woman, you could damn well bet I'd be P.O.'d and demand that the culprit be hung.
  10. Originally posted by Cambarro: I wonder what A Yusuf legacy would be in years to come. He'll be remembered as the man who brought back Somalias glory after 16 years of civil war. President Abdullahi: The man, the myth, the legend. Duke, people are fleeing Mogadishu. I heard people fleeing to Mogadishu, but never from Mogadishu is the last 16 years of the civil war. Mystic Maybe you've been living under a rock for the past 16 years, but I'm sure there were hundreds of thousands of people who fled the violence of Mogadishu throughout the civil war.
  11. Dude, again, can you say with 100% certainty that no Somali woman would willingly sleep with an AU soldier? If that's the view you held I'm truly sorry for having to ruin your (innocent) image of Somalis.
  12. Originally posted by Centurion: quote: Having an 'illicit love affair' with local woman doesn't mean they're forcing themselves on these woman, ya know? Museveni is putting it in a very amiable way. I doubt there's a single Somali woman who'd want to engage in an 'illicit love affair' with a Ugandan soldier. Read between the lines, he's on about raping and forced prostitution, not innocent romance. Dude..You're Telepathic? You've got a talent there,go write a book and capitalize on it. If some woman wants to sell her body/sleep with AU soldier..It ain't my business and it sure as hell aint yours either.
  13. Bilaal, I don't think there's anyone on here who'd justify the rape of Somali women ( or any woman for that matter), so stop the whole self-righteous act. Mystic, Why are you so P.O.'d for? Having an 'illicit love affair' with local woman doesn't mean they're forcing themselves on these woman, ya know?

    OSCAR MOMENT

Yeah, Djimon Hounsou was awesome in Blood Diamond. I can't wait 'til it comes out on DVD.
  15. Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad. kkkkkk Russells got some jokes still.
  16. Need I repeat myself? Again, who appointed this Kooshin character as the Ambassador to the United States? If or when he is appointed there will be something to talk about, but for now he's just another college-dropout.
  17. Yes, BBC reported that the AU troops had arrived in Somalia. Lol@the flag .
  18. I just saw them talking about the AU troops on BBC International.
  19. I've seen rappers like Jim Jones (BAAAALIN) use the word "Dude" instead of Niggah...So I guess everybodys getting political.
  20. Originally posted by Khayr: Salams, Look, the member (Violet) is asking me a question in a cynical manner, so I gave them what I felt was a proper response. No need to beat around the bush, just tell it straight. I can't argue about hijabis with someone that champions an outright munafiq leader who killed thousands of muslims-all because they waved the flag of ISLAM. Dude, if you don't want certain people to respond, put a darn warning on your topic.
  21. When was he officially named as the Somali ambassador to the United States? Maybe you know something I don't, so please tell me.
  22. Originally posted by Modesty: why be a police officer knowing you will come into contact with men and say I don't shake hands with them, or run in the olympics in hijab that is ridiculous, stop trying to be like gaalo and be yourselves. sheesh Don't you come into contact with men at school, on the bus, at the mall, at work etc. Are you going to stop going outside all together just to avoid unnecessary contact with men?
  23. Originally posted by Khayr: ^^^ Nothing is wrong with that the same way nothing is wrong with A. Yusuf getting Ethiopians and Americans to bomb the hell out of other somalis. Whoa bud, easy there. What does President Abdullahi have to do with the topic at hand?

It's the time for peace, reconstruction, development and rebuilding of our country inshallah but not the time for futile revolutions and fake insurgencies, I hope you get on the train and awaken to the new dawn for the beautiful capital of Somalia inshallah. A new Mogadishu will rise from the ashes and destruction inshallah, soon very soon inshallah and for that I cannot wait. I wish Mogadishu peace, harmony, serenity, calmness and security inshallah. Amiin! Mogadishu isn't Baghdad and there isn't a real insurgency, just kids who get paid to fire mortars.
