  1. JacelBro just came back from the country bro was there for 6 months, people are driving expensive cars, 4X4's, theres shoping centres, 10-12-14 story buildings, villa's. The red sea 2 hours by car. the mountains 1 hour away. Borama 1 and half hours away, burco 3 and half hours away. It is life man. Im telling you. let these kids dream on. Somaliland is a state walahi. I think its Somalia that needs to become one. This predicament is so ironic its almost halarious. a state that is nothing claiming a state more stronger, more power and more wealtheir. Somalia i wish you the best of luck and this is probably the reason you are unable to achieve peace because you cant see a good thing when it slaps you in the face. anyways. take care.
  2. i think Mr. "the future is bring the future is puntland" if given the chance would have done worse. Just my opinion. The number of Somali's who died after the civil war out number those who died before the civil war so all somali's have been affected. Thats why in my opinion we should be like 3 seperate countries its better than nothing. we could compete and form alliances to protect each other.
  3. Last i heard, Dahir aweys was riding a donkey dressed in a niqab heading for the Ethiopian border. While Dahir Riyale Kahin was hiding underneath his desk scared of the next election. While on the other hand the puntland president was granted political asylum to remain in the uk his reasons stated by the UK government for staying in the Uk was that " puntland was no were to go back to, no water,no food, no rain,no army,no currency.no police". He also stated that "if forced to go back he would jump off big ben". Sheik Sharif on the other hand was shouting "death to ethiopia, death to foreign fighters", while being protected by African union forces. Somali politics = garbage.... its all a joke bro.
  4. Walahi this is a true story on my way to hargaisa the guy ahead of me paid for his relatives to go before me and my friends. We ended up going to hargaisa via bosaso and was there for 3 hours. The place was very very bad, don't wanna say anything else but puntland diaspora should help their people and organise food and cloth drives and stop wasting there time here on somaliaonline. peace.
  5. Ironic Duke how you take pleasure in the misery of others...isnt it? looooool, maybe thats why puntland aint doing to well.
  6. come on people, we are somali's here please feel free to comment on the video's. In all honoustly the people back home are less tribalist then you guys here online. The people over there just care about survival and treat each other as muslims. You guys waste your lives on pointless stuff. Live your life and live and let live. peace.

  10. Hey guys just came back from holidays i was back in the motherland aka Somaliland for 6 months had the time of my life. so whats this i hear about puntland wanting to become an independent state? its just strange how when everything goes against puntland interest they want to go it alone. Speaking on behalf of somaliland wether you stay or go doesnt really concern us however to say no to somaliland and yes to puntland is abit of a double standard. peace, best of luck to all parties... LOVE LIFE LIBERTY..
  11. See most of these members are pre-occupied with putting labels on people you will be classified as a seccionist, a rag head etc. However the problem is most these members don't have any understanding of history, politics or philosophy from what i have read. There to busy trying to make others believe how great they are. The reality is we are all human and its not perfect for any of us. Somaliland has problems and Somalia has problems. We all have problems. This is is not an issue of division or unification this is an existential problem meaning (if we don't solve it our existence is in threat). In all truth from what i have read it seems that we should all prepare for war now and get ready to wipe each other off the map or come up with some other alternative. So you guys can continue to post tit for tat articles and propaganda of how amazing you all are or live by that old saying, live and let live.
  12. Somali's are a very unique people with regards to mind set unlike many people you have a combination of contradictory elements that compete with one another. This debate is not aimed at any group its an acknowledgment that we are intertwined and as a people have alot of problems. I have regularly read the posts on Somalia online and understand that the mentalities that exist and the constant tit for tat is just the same old game with a new generation. The reason why Somali's remain the only people in the world other than Iraq and Afghanistan who do not have a viable state is shown in the very posts that you guys regularly post. If you look back in history no state has ever thrived built on favoritism, clannism etc. What you have today amongst Somali's are an entire population who are refugees, internally displaced people, pirates and bandits or people who are struggling to exist on the backs of diaspora communities. Firstly every nation that has ever been successful is built on some form of progressive ideology. In Somalia that ideology does not exist. Its gone from being a family run democracy to a communist socialist state to and islamic state to a....it keeps going. So far none of these theories have worked. You have to ask yourself then why? The one element that have forced these systems to fall apart is tribalism. We live in a nomadic society were the family is king, were your needs, security and progress depends on the clan. However this is historical way back in the day. Although every other people have moved forward the Somali's have not and thats why they have been wiped off the map. Wether the die in the sea's of yemen or the become prostitutes for swahili's or arabs, wether they die in villages from a lack of water or food. These people (Somali's) remain probably the only people on earth to consecutively continue to exterminate themselves and what is sad is that instead of being the younger more progressive generation to come up with some new theory to solve the unique somali problem you continue to write about trivial matters you pluck out from biased websites. Anyways im going on holiday so wont be replying for probably a few days and then ill start regularly posting.
  13. Honoustly, this tit for tat is getting boring. I think we have to understand that we are all human. To call Somaliland seccionist, snm, breakaway etc. doesnt really mean anything because the people want it. I agree that some don't and thats their right. However just because you ignore it does not mean its not there. the buhodle region has two degans and only one is pro somaliland and the other is not. So the problem is not somaliland itself its the people. However by posting article says seccionist this snm that you are missing the point completly. The question we should be asking is what is the future of the somali people? Can they live together? clearly by calling sections seccionists you undermine every human beings right to decide there destiny.
