    Obviously if they did, one wouldn’t have pursued the current discourse. But personally I think with leadership, diplomacy, patience and time, could lead to negotiations and common understanding.

    I do see it as a workable possibility and have always propagated a North-South proposition, but the question was if the current elites also consider it an option and my thinking is that they will only do so when they give up on plan A, which they haven’t yet. Otherwise they would call on talks with SSC-Khaatuma on a common Northern front instead of beating the drums of war.

    The only silver here is no next extension past the end of the term, something for future leaders to consider.

    The year 2024 will be a consequential year for Puntland and Somalia.

    He won’t win, he hasn’t added anything to Puntland at all, except for toying with the democratic aspirations of the people.

    This will allow us to bring heavy weapons which are badly needed for the war against AS.

    Tell us what weapons will defeat them that one doesn’t already have access to? 

    And besides even if FGS brings in the weapons, assuming the current flows remains intact even regions and AS will get access to it as well and can even bring in their own weapons via third countries.

    What is going on in this video? What is this man wearing female bangles doing in Hargeysa?

     

    People in Somaliland are in a state of shock and are guessing what the purpose is the Ethiopian Oromo priests send by Abiy, being courted and promoted by Somaliland gov as Dir allies.

    Its seems that Somaliland regime is showing its true colors that it’s even prepared to bargain with the soul and essence of the people to remain in power. I can’t make anything else of this.
