If you're looking to turn your beer belly into a bare-able belly, there's something you should know about the traditional abdominal workout: "There is simply no such thing as spot training," says personal trainer and fitness expert Kristin Miller-McEachern. Miller-McEachern explains that one of the biggest misconceptions in abdominal training is the expectation that it helps to flatten the stomach. Contrary to the claims of endless infomercials pushing gadgets and gizmos that guarantee spot reduction, the only way to a svelte stomach is a workout routine that realizes the need to trim away the fat on top of the muscle before building the muscle itself. In other words, while an intense workout composed entirely of crunches and other moves that target the abs may get you that ever-appealing six-pack effect, it won't be easy to spot beneath the bulge. For this reason, Miller-McEachern believes that a well-rounded program is key to achieving a toned midsection. She stresses that the very best abdominal workout comes from combined strength and cardiovascular training, which work together to define muscle mass and burn calories. This is not to suggest that the traditional crunch is obsolete — it remains the fundamental exercise for toning and strengthening the upper abdominals. But the gains of a weekly abdominal routine remain the greatest when supplemented with the training of other muscle groups which work the abs indirectly as well as your favorite cardiovascular activity, whether that's biking, running, power walking, or hiking. When it is time to zone in on the abs, however, Miller-McEachern points to form, pace, variety, and frequency as important considerations. While many assume that the abs should be trained daily to optimize effects, she warns that over-training can be adverse to development. Muscle tissue needs time to rest and regenerate after being worked. Accordingly, she recommends working the abs no more than two or three times a week. Each session should consist of approximately three exercises, including at least one that concentrates on the upper abs and one on the lower. Each exercise should be executed in two sets of 15 repetitions, using slow and concentrated movements that sustain good form rather than letting the momentum of a rapid pace do the work for you. Miller-McEachern stresses that the position of your arms when executing the crunch affects the intensity of your workout as well. While placing your arms across your chest is often considered standard form, placing your fingers behind your ears or extending your arms straight above your head will increase both difficulty and intensity. Whether you're using your school's fitness center or sticking to the confines of your dorm, Miller-McEachern stresses that variety is an important factor to consider when toning your abs. Even if it's as simple as switching the order of your chosen exercises, creative manipulation and slight variation of the traditional crunch will keep your body guessing, so you avoid the training plateaus that occur when your muscles adjust to a consistent stimulus. For those heading to the gym, nautilus equipment, free weights, and other machines offer easy alternatives to the basic crunch. For those staying at home, Miller-McEachern recommends investing in a physio-ball, with which exercises ranging from beginner to advanced can be performed. Since the ball utilizes your own bodyweight, you won't need extra weight to train, though tubing can be added to increase the intensity of the workout. However you choose to mix it up, remember that only a well-rounded program coupled with a healthy diet and perseverance will render a toned midsection you'll be proud to have.

Getting high, by going down under There are two ways to go high by going low To experiment with the first one, let us take an imaginative trip to the south of Somalia, ( Sorry Somali Landers, and Puntlandians). Today we go to an archipelago of islands off the coast of Kismayo, known by locals as Chula and Chawaay. In my last visit to that island, the locals, Somali Bajunis who speak Swahili, treated me so well, I almost thought of settling there, extremely generous people who captivated me with their cheerful character and hospitality. One condtion, you must enjoy eating Qubo, the marine turtle, known for its vitality enhancing power. After the morning breakfast, we head to the beach where a small boat is waiting paddled by a dark muscular guy who wears a smile so precious, if sold to depressed people in New York, Los Angeles or Toronto, could easily fetch a million dollar tap. Now we ride the boat with Juma, I say, " Jambo, habariako? " Jambo sana, Nur, habari ya jamayaako, lama goodle"? responds Juma jubilantly. " madaxfalluuq?, I quip. We then go packing our boat with food, our scuba tanks and equipment, and off we go to a nearby reef. Now we come in contact with the inhabitants of the planet down under, a collection of living crustaceans, colorful corals and tropical fish on a background of the turquoise crystal clear water of the Indian ocean decorated by the strong penetrating rays of sunlight creating a 4th of July kind of tantalizing effect. Moments later, a shark is spotted circling around us as we descend, the shark, is sizing us up ( who are these guys?). ( sarkhaannimada Naytroojiinka). This effect is equivalent to a narcotic effect or an alcoholic intake which impairs judgment below 100 feet. Nitrogen as any Chem. 101 student knows, is an inert gas, goes in and out of your lungs without any energy transformation effect, but at high concentration, the nitrogen, along with the oxygen and carbon dioxide and other trace gasses, obey Jaalle Dalton's law which causes Oxygen toxicity while at the same time enhancing the effect of other contaminant gasses on your brain which makes a pesron behave funny. As you descend further down, the hallucination increases, and you literally go high while going down, hence the exotic title of this topic, some excited victims of this phenomena were reported to have fought off their rescuers until they sank to their assured death. This effect is similar to the way some Somalinet Scumbags get high by living and posting lowly materials, the lower they go, the higher intoxicated they get, scaring away decent readers and family oriented browsers, until one day they wake up in a non familiar environment, and face an interrogation by two serious angles called Munkar and Nakiir, for their arraignment interview, followed by their subsequent classification and holding in the temporary penitentiary known as Barzakh, after which they will be hauled to their permanent home of misery and pain, so they can pay for their evils on earth which they thought will never catch up with them. A bad calculation indeed. So, to avoid the above horrible scenario, these evildoers can go get high in a different way: The second way of getting high by going- low, is to bow down in prayers, the more times you go down, the higher you get in happiness and self fulfillment, also, Allah SWT will resurrect you in higher rank in the next life when you have gone down on your knees many times out of Allah's love and respect. The prayers will help you avoid evil ways that will cost you dearly, and will help you choose your words and actions for a higher (ROI), and as a result you will be loved for your good actions on earth and fully credited in the hereafter, instead of being feared for your evil ways, like Machiavelli suggested in his famous book, Prince, and as implemented by modern warlords and politicians to rule over and mislead ignorant masses. And (from them), there will be some who will stay near the side of a mountain, and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and Allah will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection." note: Here Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) has mentioned music with drinking of alcohol and fornication (zina) which are a MAJOR (Kabair) sin! Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 41, Hadith # 4909 Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud(raa) : Salam ibn Miskin(raa), quoting an old man who witnessed AbuWa'il in a wedding feast, said: They began to play, amuse and sing. He united the support of his hand round his knees that were drawn up, and said: I heard Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) say: I heard the apostle of Allah (SAW) say: Singing produces hypocrisy in the heart. Sahih Al-Bukhari and agreed upon by At-Tabari. Sa'id ibn Jubayr(raa) reported that Ibn 'Abbas(raa) said about the verse: "And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks" (31:6), that, "ldle talks means singing and the like." The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said : "A people of my Ummah will drink wine, calling it by other than its real name. Merriment will be made for them through the playing of musical instruments and the singing of female singers. Allah (SWT) will cleave the earth under them and turn others into apes and swine." (Narration of Ibn Maajah ) note : This hadeeth has also been narrated by al-Bayhaaqi and ibn Asaakir, and has been authenticated by the renowned scholar of hadeeth Ibn al-Qayyim. The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said : "Verily Allah prohibited wine, gambling and al-koobah; and every intoxicant is prohibited." Sufyan said :" I asked the narrator, Ali bin Badheemah, ' What is al-Koobah?' He answered, 'It is the drum'." (An authentic hadith narrated by Imaam Ahmed bin Hanbal ) That the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said : "Verily I did not prohibit weeping [per se], but rather I forbade two voices [sowtayn] which are imbecilic [ahmaq] and sinfully shameless [faajir]: one a voice [singing] to the accompaniment of musical amusement [lahw] and Satan's [wind] instruments; the other, a voice [wailing] due to some calamity, accompanied by striking of the face and tearing of garments. But this [weeping off mine] stems from compassion, and whosoever does not show compassion will not receive it." (The narration of Haakim and Others) note : This hadeeth is graded Hasan, and has been strengthened by other narrations. Anas bin Maalik (radi Allaahu anhu) related from the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) that "two cursed sounds are that of the [wind] instrument [mizmaar] played on the occasion of joy and grace, and woeful wailing upon the occurrence of adversity." (Narration of Abu Bakr ash-Shaafi'ee) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The opinions of the great scholars about music... Ijma'a of the 4 imams: Music that takes one away from the remembrance of Allah (swt) and music that has other instruments other than the duff is strictly forbidden. At-Tabari (RH) and Imam Malik (RH) Hold the view that all music is unlawful. And should be abstained from. Imaam Shafiee (RH) and Imaam Abu Hanifah (RH) Held the view that most music is makruh. Some music is lawful (the one with only duff and under certain circumstances) and the music that takes away from the remembrance of Allah (swt) is forbidden. Maulana Fazlul Karim states his own opinion being that "songs are in themselves lawful but they become Harram, makruh and mustahab according to times, circumstances, places, motives and kinds of songs. for example if it has other instruments then the duff and if it talks about subjects that are other than those which benefit the deen then they are unlawful. All these opinions are quoted in the tafseer of the book "mishkat-ul-Masabih" by Maulana Fazlul Karim section regarding Music, vol 2 page #198. Ruling on so-called “Islaamic” songs with musical instruments by one of our great ullima Shaykh Saalih al-Munajjid. The aayaat of the Qur`aan and the Ahaadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) indicate that musical instruments are condemned, and warn us against them. The Qur`aan teaches that playing these instruments is one of the things that leads people astray and constitutes mockery of the Signs of Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talk to mislead (men) from the Path of Allaah, without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allaah, the Verses of the Qur’aan) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).” [Luqmaan 31:6] Most of the scholars interpreted lahw al-hadeeth (“idle talk”) as meaning singing and musical instruments, and every voice that diverts people from the truth. Al-Tabari (RH) (Jaami’ al-Bayaan, 15/118-119), Ibn Abi’l-Dunya (Dham al-Malaahi, 33) and Ibn al-Jawzi (Talbees Iblees, 232) all reported that concerning the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): “[Allaah said to Shaytaan;] ‘And istafziz [literally means befool them gradually] those whom you can with your voice, make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children, and make promises to them.’ But Shaytaan promises them nothing but deceit” [al-Isra’ 17:64] Mujaahid (RH) said, “This refers to singing and flutes.” Al-Tabari (RH) reported that al-Hasan al-Basri (RAA)said: “His voice is the tambourine.” Ibn al-Qayyim (RH) said in Ighaathat al-Lahfaan (1/252):“The grammatical structure here (idaafah – genitive or possessive) is used to make something specific (idaafat al-takhsees), and in all these words in the aayah it refers back to the Shaytaan [addressed here as ‘you’ by Allaah, may He be glorified]. Everyone who speaks about anything other than obedience of Allaah or plays a reed pipe, flute, tambourine or drum, all of this is the voice of Shaytaan.” Al-Tirmidhi reported in his Sunan (no. 1005) from Ibn Abi Layla from ‘Ata’ from Jaabir (RAA) who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (SAW) went to to al-Nakhl with ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf (RAA), when his son Ibraaheem was dying. He took the child in his lap and his eyes filled with tears. ‘Abd al-Rahmaan said, ‘Are you weeping when you have forbidden us to weep?’ He said, 'I do not forbid weeping. What I have forbidden is two foolish and evil kinds of voices: voices at times of entertainment and play and the flutes of the Shaytaan, and voices at times of calamity and scratching the face and rending the garments and screaming.’” Al-Tirmidhi said: this is a hasan hadeeth. It was also reported by al-Haakim in al-Mustadrak, no. 1683, al-Bayhaqi in al-Sunan al-Kubra (4/69), al-Tayaalisi in Musnad (no. 1683) and by al-Tahhaawi in Sharh al-Ma’aani, 4/29, and it was classed as hasan by al-Albaani. Al-Nawawi said: “What is meant here is singing and musical instruments.” See Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi, 4/88. It was reported in a saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “In my ummah there will be people who allow fornication/adultery (zina), silk, wine and musical instruments [ma’aazif]. Some people will stay at the side of a mountain, and they will have flocks of sheep. When a poor person comes in the evening to ask them for something he needs, they will say. ‘Come back to us tomorrow.’ Then during the night Allaah will destroy them by causing the mountain to fall upon them, while He changes others into apes and swine. They will remain in such a state until the Day of Resurrection.’” (Reported by al-Bukhaari in al-Saheeh mu’allaqan, 51/10. Reported mawsoolan by al-Bayhaqi in al-Sunan al-Kubra, 3/272; al-Tabaraani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, 3/319; and Ibn Hibbaan in al-Saheeh (8/265-266). Classed as saheeh by Ibn al-Salaah in ‘Uloom al-Hadeeth (32), Ibn al-Qayyim in Ighaathat al-Lahfaan (255) and Tahdheeb al-Sunan (5/270-272), al-Haafiz in al-Fath (10/51) and al-Albaani in al-Saheehah (1/140)). Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (RH) said in al-Fath (10/55): Ma’aazif refers to musical instruments. Al-Qurtubi reported from al-Jawhari that ma’aazif meant singing, and what it says in his book al-Sihaah is that it refers to musical instruments. It was also said that it is the sound of musical instruments. In a footnote by al-Dimyaati it says: ma’aazif is tambourines and other kinds of drums. The word ‘azif is applied to singing and all other kinds of instruments that may be played. Ibn al-Qayyim said in Ighaathat al-Lahfaan (1/256) "The evidence for this is that ma’aazif refers to all kinds of things used for entertainment. There is no dispute among scholars of the Arabic language on this point. If they were halaal, he would not have condemned those who permitted them, or compared permitting them to permitting wine and zina." We may understand from the hadeeth that all kinds of musical instruments are forbidden. This is clear from the hadeeth for a number of reasons: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said “… there will be people who allow…” It is clear that the things listed here, including musical instruments, are forbidden in sharee’ah, but those people will allow them. He compared musical instruments to things that are definitely known to be haraam, namely zina and alcohol. If instruments were not haraam, he would not have made this comparison. The evidence of this hadeeth that singing is haraam is definitive. Even if no other hadeeth or aayah spoke about musical instruments, this hadeeth would be sufficient to prove that they are haraam, especially the kind of singing that is known among people nowadays, the essence of which is obscenity and foul talk, based on all kinds of musical instruments such as guitars, drums, flutes, ouds, zithers, organs, pianos, violins and other things that make it more enticing, such as the voices of these effeminate singers and whores. (See Hukm al-Ma’aazif by al-Albaani, Tas-heeh al-Ahkta’ wa’l-Awhaam al-Waaqi’ah fi Ahaadeeth al-Nabi ‘alayhi’l-salaam by Raa’id Sabri, 1/176). Shaykh AbdulAziz Bin Baaz (RH) said in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 3/423-424): “Ma’aazif refers to singing and musical instruments. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told us that at the end of time there will come a people who will allow these things just as they will allow alcohol, zina and silk. This is one of the signs of his Prophethood, for all of this has happened. The hadeeth indicates that [musical instruments] are haraam, and condemns those who say they are halaal, just as it condemns those who say that alcohol and zina are allowed. The aayaat and ahaadeeth that warn against singing and musical instruments are many indeed. Whoever claims that Allaah has allowed singing and musical instruments is lying and is committing a great evil. We ask Allaah to keep us from obeying our desires and the Shaytaan. Even worse and more seriously sinful than that are those who say it is mustahabb. Undoubtedly this stems from ignorance about Allaah and His Religion; it is insolent blasphemy against Allaah and lying about His Laws. What is mustahabb is to beat on the daff [simple hand drum] at weddings. This is mustahabb for women only, in order to announce the wedding and to distinguish it from fornication. There is nothing wrong with women singing amongst themselves, accompanied by the daff, so long as the songs contain no words that encourage evil or distract people from their duties. It is also a condition that this should take place among women only, and there should be no mixing with men. It should also not cause any annoyance or disturbance to neighbours. What some people do, of amplifying such singing with loudspeakers is evil, because of the disturbance it causes to other Muslims, neighbours and others. It is not permissible for women, in weddings or on other occasions, to use any instrument other than the daff, such as the oud, violin, rebab (stringed instrument) and so on. This is evil, and the only concession that women are given is that they may use the daff. As for men, it is not permissible for them to play any kind of musical instrument, whether at weddings or on any other occasion. What Allaah has prescribed for men is training in the use of instruments of war, such as target practice or learning to ride horses and competing in that, using spears, shields, tanks, airplanes and other things such as cannons, machine guns, bombs and anything else that may help jihaad for the sake of Allaah.” Shaykh al-Islaam said in al-Fataawa (11/569): “I know that in the ‘golden age’, the first and best three centuries, in the Hijaaz, in Syria, in the Yemen, in Egypt, in the Maghreb, in Iraq, in Khorasan, none of the religious and righteous people, the ascetics and those who worshipped Allaah much, would gather to listen to this whistling and clapping and drum-beating and so on. This was innovated after that at the end of the second century, and whenever the imaams saw it, they denounced it.” As for these anaasheed which are described as “Islaamic” but are accompanied with musical instruments, giving them this name lends them some measure of legitimacy, but in fact they are singing and music, so calling them Islaamic nasheeds is falsehood and deception. They cannot be a substitute for singing, as an evil thing cannot be substituted for another evil thing. We should replace something evil with something good. Listening to it on the grounds that it is Islaamic and an act of worship is bid’ah, and Allaah does not allow this. We ask Allaah to keep us safe and sound. Sahih Al-Bukhari (Volume 5, Book 59, hadith# 336) Narrated Ar-Rubai bint Muauwidh(raa) "The Prophet came to me after consuming his marriage with me and sat down on my bed as you (the sub-narrator) are sitting now, and small girls were beating the duff and singing in lamentation of my father who had been killed on the day of the battle of Badr. Then one of the girls said, "There is a Prophet amongst us who knows what will happen tomorrow." The Prophet said (to her)," Do not say this, but go on saying what you have spoken before." Note: This authentic hadith illustrates that it is halal to use only the duff. Which is a one sided drum made of animal skin and Rasulullah (saw) has permitted this for weddings and the eidayn (the two eids). Also, Rasulullah (saw) has permitted war-songs during jihad (without musical instruments except the duff). Music with other instruments and lyrics that take away from the remembrance of Allah (swt) are strictly forbidden. Note from the author: My dear and respect brothers and sisters in Islam. we should make our lives totally and fully subservient to the orders of Allah (swt), we should not pick and chose which order of Allah (swt) we want to follow and which one we don't. we have seen according to the ayahs of Quran and authentic hadith of Rasulullah (swt) that music is not lawful in islam so we should through away any music tapes or CD's that we may have and replace them with Quran and islamic lectures. So that we use our times wisely and we should not fool ourselves by thinking groups that mention the name of Allah (e.i. Wu Tang) or Kawallies are halal since they use miscall instruments we should recognize that they are harram and should stay away from them. And Allah (swt) knows best.

It is unfortunate that we even have to address this topic but unfortunately now a day a few of the so-called "modern Muslim" are bring new innovations in the deen and claming that is is ok for men and women to be together and have parties and functions together. Even in our Masjids they are having parties were men and women are together! but here is what the Quran Hadith and great Ullima have to say about it........ From the Holy Quran........ The Holy Quran Sura #24 An Nur, ayah # 30 Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. The Holy Quran Sura #24 An Nur, ayah # 31 And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male attendants free of sexual desires, or small children who have no carnal of women; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah in repentance, that ye may be successful. The Holy Quran Sura Al-Ahzab ayah #33 "Stay in your houses and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance and offer prayer perfectly and give Zakat and obey Allah and His Messenger. " The Holy Quran Sura Al-Ahzab ayah #53 "And when you ask them, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts" From Sahih Hadith...... Sahih Bukhari and Agreed Upon by Imaam Muslim also can be found in Riyadh-Us-Saleheen (Arabic English) vol. 2 page 792 Hadith # 1622 Abu Huraurah (Radhiallaahu Ánhu) relates that Rasulullah(Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said a man commits adultery with his eyes when he looks at a strange (non-Mahrum) woman" Agreed upon by Tirmidhi, Ahmad and Abu Daud also can be found in Riyadh-Us-Saleheen (Arabic English) vol. 2 page 793 hadith #1626 also in the book The Muslim Woman (part 1) by Mufti Shaikh ul Hadith Ahmed E. Bemat Umme-e-Salmah (Radhiallaahu Ánha) says that she abd Maimoonah (Radhiallaahu Ánha) were in the presence of the holy Prophet (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) when Abdullah ibn Umm-e-Maktum (Radhiallaahu Ánhu), who was BLIND, came there. the holy Prophet (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said "Go behind the curtain and screen yourself" Umme-e-Salmah said "O Prophet of Allah, he is Blind. At this the Prophet (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said "are you also blind? don't you see him?In the Tafseer of this Hadith from MUFTI Ahmed E. Bemat he writes .......If the holy wives of Rasulullah(saw) whom ALLAH(swt) himself had selected to be the spouses of His beloved Prophet (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) and who have had their purity announced in the Quran are still asked to go behind the curtain for a BLIND man, then how can our woman mix with men without any concern. Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Hadith # 159: and Agreed Upon by Imaam Muslim also can be found in the book Islamic Hijab from the Jamiatul Ulama Junubi Africa, page #9 Narrated 'Uqba bin 'Amir (Radhiallaahu Ánhu): Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, "Beware of entering upon the ladies (mingling with them)." A man from the Ansar said, "Allah's Apostle! What about Al-Hamu the in-laws of the wife (the brothers of her husband or his nephews etc.)?" Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) replied: The in-laws of the wife are death itself. Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Hadith # 160: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radhiallaahu Ánhu) : Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, "No man should stay with a lady in seclusion except in the presence of a Dhu-Muhram." A man stood up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! My wife has gone out intending to perform the Hajj and I have been enrolled (in the army) for such-and-such campaign." Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, "Return and perform the Hajj with your wife." Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Hadith # 163: Narrated 'Aisha (Radhiallaahu Ánha): Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) was screening me with his Rida' (garment covering the upper part of the body) while I was looking at the Ethiopians who were playing in the courtyard of the mosque. (I continued watching) till I was satisfied. So you may deduce from this event how a little girl (who has not reached the age of puberty) who is eager to enjoy amusement should be treated in this respect.SubhanAllah we should see from this hadith even though Aisha (Radhiallaahu Ánha) was only a little girl at the time and the Ethiopian dancers were far way still Rasulullah(Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) SCREENED her. Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Hadith # 164: Narrated 'Aisha (Radhiallaahu Ánha): Once Sada bint Zam'a went out at night for some need, and 'Umar (Radhiallaahu Ánhu) saw her, and recognizing her, he said (to her), "By Allah, O Sada! You cannot hide yourself from us." So she returned to the Prophet and mentioned that to him while he was sitting in my dwelling taking his supper and holding a bone covered with meat in his hand. Then the Divine Inspiration was revealed to him and when that state was over, Rasullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) was saying: "O women! You have been allowed by Allah to go out only for your needs." This is why the Ullima say women should only leave there house in extreme need and that even with niqaab because a man shoud not be able to recognize her. So if we are not even supposed to be able to recognize women (after this ayah came) then how can we have parties with men and women mingling? From the Opinions of the great scholars.............. Shaikh Ibn Jibreen ( In the book 'Islamic Fatwas regarding Women' Page # 184) Question: Is it allowed to have a wedding procession with the groom being with the bride among the women during the wedding parting? Response:That act is not allowed. It is an indication that modesty has been lost. It is also an imitation of the people of obscenity and lewdness. In fact, the matter is very clear. Question: What is the ruling concerning a woman looking at non-mahram men? Response: We advise women not to look at non-mahram men. It is best for the woman if she is not seen by the men and she does not see them. There is no difference on this point between a battlefield or a sports field. A woman is weak and can easily be swayed. Many times, a woman looks at a movie or picture of a young man and her emotions and desires are excited. This expose her to temptation. Being away from the causes of temptation is always the safest approach. Shaikh AbdulAziz Bin Bazz ( In the book 'Islamic Fatwas regarding Women' Page # 313) Question: What is Islam's view of women working alongside men? Response: It is known that when women go to work in the workplaces of men this leads to mixing with men and being in private with them. This is a very dangerous matter that has dangerous consequences and negative results. It is in clear opposition to the texts of the Shariah that order the women to remain in their houses and to fulfill the type of work that is particular for her and upon which Allah has fashioned her nature, which is far from the place where she will mix with men. The clear, authentic evidences that indicate that it is forbidden for men and non related women to be in private together and for men to look at women are numerous. There are also much evidence that what leads up to those forbidden ends are also forbidden. The evidences are many, clear and decisive that the mixing between the sexes is forbidden as it leads to negative and blameworthy results. Among those evidences are the following: "Stay in your houses and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance and offer prayer perfectly and give Zakat and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only wishes to remove evil deeds and sins from you, O members of the family [of the Prophet] and to purify you with a thorough purification." (Sura Al-Ahzab ayah #33). "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful" (Sura Al-Ahzab ayah # 59). "Tell the believing women to lower their gaze and protect their private parts and not to show off their adornments except only that which is apparent and to draw their veils over necks and bosoms and not to reveal their adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their women or the (female) slaves, or old male servants who lack vigor, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful" (al-Nur 31). "And when you ask them, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts" (al-Ahzab 53). The Prophet (peace be upon him) himself said, "Beware of entering upon women. the women who are non-mahram." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the in-laws?" He said, "The in-laws are death." ( Al-Bukhari and Muslim. It implies that such close relations can easily lead to adultery which has the death penalty) The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) categorically prohibited privacy between a man and a non related woman. He said, "when a woman and man are alone Satan is the third." (Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi as being sahih) He also prohibited traveling except in the presence of mahram males in order to close the door to the roads that lead to evil and sins and to protect the two parties from the plotting of Satan. That is why it is confirmed from him that he said, "Be wary and cautious of this world and be wary and cautious of women. Verily, the first trial that afflicted the Tribes of Israel was with respect to women."( Sahih Muslim) Another hadith states, "I have not left behind me any temptation more harmful for men than women." ( Al-Bukhari and Muslim) These clear verses and Ahadith indicate that it is obligatory to avoid the mixing of the sexes that leads to evil and lewdness and the destruction of societies. When we look at the plight of women in some of the Muslim countries we see that she has become a disrespected working servant because of her leaving her house and taking roles that are not her responsibility. The wise people in those lands and in the lands of the West are calling for the return of the woman to her natural roles that Allah has prepared her for and for which her body and mind are me attuned to. But this call is coming too late. There are enough jobs for women in their houses, teaching positions and other places related to women that make unnecessary for her to take on jobs in the workplace of men. We ask Allah to protect our land and the lands of all Muslims from the plots and machinations of their enemies. May Allah guide those charge and the rest of the media to lead people to what is best for them in both this life and the Hereafter. May Allah guide them executing the commands of their Lord and Creator who is most knowledgeable of what is in their best interests. May Allah bless and guide the leaders of the lands of the Muslims to what is be for the Muslims and the country with respect to their livelihood here and their resurrection. May Allah save us and them and all the Muslims from the misguidance of temptation and the causes of destruction. He is the One with the Power and Ability to do that. Shaikh Ibn Uthaimin ( In the book 'Islamic Fatwas regarding Women' Page # 364) Question: Is it allowed for Muslim women to attend educational meetings and fiqh study sessions in the mosques? Response: Yes. It is allowed for her to attend educational meetings, regardless if they are related to practical matters or to matters of faith and monotheism. This is given the condition that she is not perfumed or displaying her beauty. She must also be distant from the men and not mixing with them. This is based on the Messenger of Allah's (peace be upon him) statement, "The best rows for the women are the last ones and the worst are the front ones." (sahih Muslim) This is because the front rows are those closest to the men and, therefore, the back rows are better than the front rows. Question: What are the permissible types of work for a Muslim woman to work in without being in contradiction with the teachings of her religion? Response: The places of work for women are those places that are specific for women. For example, she may work in woman's education, either in administration or otherwise. She can also work in her house by being a tailor for women and so forth. It is not allowed for her to work in areas which are exclusive for men because in that case she must mix with men and this is a great source of trial and temptation that one must beware of. One must realize that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I have not left behind me any temptation more harmful for men than women." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) "Verily, the [first] trial that afflicted the Tribes of Israel was with respect to women." (Sahih Muslim) A man must keep his family and wife from falling into such temptations and their causes under all circumstances. This is a fatwaa from a MUFTI at the Darl-ul-Ifta at Jamia Binoria (one of the top hanafi schools of Islamic knowledge) It can be found on there web site http://www.binoria.org/q&a/restricted.html#conditions Question : Under which conditions are women allowed to leave the home? Answer: The principle command for women is that they should remain in their home and should not go out without any extreme need because mischief is feared in their going out. However if they have to go out in extreme necessity then they should go with a Mahram and duly covered in Burqa' or large overlay so that their body including their cloths should not be visible and after buying the required article they should come back at once. In this condition there is no Haraam. Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid Praise be to Allah. The meeting together, mixing, and intermingling of men and women in one place, the crowding of them together, and the revealing and exposure of women to men are prohibited by the Law of Islam (Shari'ah). These acts are prohibited because they are among the causes for fitnah (temptation or trial which implies evil consequences), the arousing of desires, and the committing of indecency and wrongdoing. Among the many proofs of prohibition of the meeting and mixing of men and women in the Qur’aan and Sunnah are: Verse No. 53 of Surat al-Ahzab, or the Confederates (Interpretation of the meaning); "...for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs..." In explaining this Verse, Ibn Kathir (May Allah have mercy on him) said: "Meaning, as I forbade you to enter their rooms, I forbid you to look at them at all. If one wants to take something from a woman, one should do so without looking at her. If one wants to ask a woman for something, the same has to be done from behind a screen."
  17. II. Articles of Faith A Muslim believes in One God, Supreme and Eternal, Infinite and Mighty, Merciful and Compassionate, Creator and Provider. God has no father nor mother, no sons nor daughters. He has not fathered anyone nor was He fathered. None equal to Him. He is God of all mankind, not of a special tribe or race. God is High and Supreme but He is very near to the pious thoughtful believers; He answers their prayers and helps them. He loves the people who love Him and forgives their sins. He gives them peace, happiness, knowledge and success. God is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. God's attributes are mentioned in the Quran. God creates in man the mind to understand, the soul and conscience to be good and righteous, the feelings and sentiments to be kind and humane. If we try to count His favours upon us, we cannot, because they are countless. In return for all the great favours and mercy, God does not need anything from us, because he is Needless and Independent. God asks us to know Him, to love Him and to enforce His Law for our own benefit and our own good. A Muslim believes in all the Messengers and Prophets of God without any discrimination. All messengers were mortals, human beings, endowed with Divine revelations and appointed by God to teach mankind. The Holy Quran mentions the names of 25 messengers and prophets and states that there are others. These include Noah, Abrahim, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. Their message is the same and it is Islam and it came from One and the Same Source; God, and it is to submit to His will and to obey his law, ie, to become a Muslim. A Muslim believes in all scriptures and revelations of God, as they were complete and in their original versions. Revelations were given to guide the people to the right path of God. The Quran refers to the books revealed to Abrahim, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. Today, the books before the Quran do not exist in their original form. They are lost or corrupted or concealed. Weakness in the early period of Judaism and Christianity are partly responsible. Today the Quran is the only authentic and complete book of God. No scholar has questioned the fact that the Quran today is the same as it was more than 1400 years ago. Muslims till today memorize the Quran word by word as a whole or in part. God who revealed the Quran is protecting it from being lost, corrupted, or concealed. A Muslim believes in the angels of God. They are purely spiritual and splendid beings created by God. They require no food or drink or sleep. They have no physical desires nor material needs. Angels spend their time in the service of God. Each charged with a certain duty. Angels cannot be seen by the naked eyes. Knowledge and truth are not entirely confined to sensory knowledge or sensory perception alone. A Muslim believes in the day of Judgement. This world as we know it will come to an end and the dead will rise to stand for their final and fair trial. Everything we do, say, make, intend and think are accounted for and kept in accurate records. They are brought up on the day of Judgement. People with good records will be generously rewarded and warmly welcomed to God's Heaven. People with bad records will be fairly punished and cast into Hell. The real nature of Heaven and Hell are known to God only, but they are described by God in man's familiar terms in the Quran. If some good deeds are seen not to get full appreciation and credit in this life, they will receive full compensation and be widely acknowledged on the Day of Judgement. If some people who commit sins, neglect God and indulge in immoral activities seem superficially successful and prosperous in this life, absolute justice will be done to them on the Day of Judgement. The time of the Day of Judgement is only known to God and God alone. A Muslim believes in "Qadaa" and "Qadar". "Qadaa" and "Qadar" means the Timeless Knowledge of God and His power to plan and execute His plans. God is not indifferent to this world nor is He neutral to it. God is Wise, Just and Loving and whatever He does must have a good motive, although we may fail sometimes to understand it fully. We should have strong faith in God and accept whatever He does because our knowledge is limited and our thinking is based on individual consideration, whereas His knowledge is limitless and He plans on a universal basis. Man should think, plan, and make sound choices, but if things do not happen the way he wants, he should not lose faith and surrender himself to mental strains or shattering worries. A Muslim believes that the purpose of life is to worship God. Worshipping God does not mean we spend our entire lives in constant seclusion and absolute meditation. To worship God is to live life according to His commands, not to run away from it. To worship God is to know Him, to love Him, to obey His commands, to enforce His laws in every aspect of life, to serve His cause by doing right and shunning evil and to be just to Him, to ourselves and to our fellow human beings. A Muslim believes that man enjoys an especially high ranking status in the hierarchy of all known creatures. Man occupies this distinguished position because he alone is gifted with rational faculties and spiritual aspirations as well as powers of action. Man is not a condemned race from birth to death, but a dignified being potentially capable of good and noble achievements. A Muslim believes that every person is born "Muslim". Every person is endowed by God with spiritual potential and intellectual inclination that can make him a good Muslim. Every person's birth takes place according to the will of God in realization of His plans and in submission to His commands. A Muslim believes that every person is born free from sin. When the person reaches the age of maturity and if he is sane, he becomes accountable for all his deeds and intentions. Man is free from sin until he commits sin. There is no inherited sin, no original sin. Adam committed the first sin, he prayed to God for pardon, and God granted Adam pardon. A Muslim believes that man must work out his salvation through the guidance of God. No one can act on behalf of another or intercede between him and God. In order, to obtain salvation a person must combine faith and action, belief and practice. Faith without doing good deeds is as insufficient as doing good deeds without faith. A Muslim believes that God does not hold any person responsible until he has shown him the Right Way. If people do not know and have no way of knowing about Islam, they will not be responsible for failing to be Muslim. Every Muslim must preach Islam words and in action. A Muslim believes that faith is not complete when it is followed blindly or accepted unquestioningly. Man must build his faith on well-grounded convictions beyond any reasonable doubt and above uncertainty. Islam insured freedom to believe and forbids compulsion in religion. (one of the oldest synagogues and one of the oldest churches in the world are in Muslim countries). A Muslim believes that the Quran is the word of God revealed to prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel. The Quran was revealed from God on various occasions to answer questions, solve problems, settle disputes and to be man's best guide to the truth. The Quran was revealed in Arabic and it is still in its original and complete Arabic version until today. It is memorized by millions. A Muslim believes in a clear distinction between the Quran and the Traditions of the Prophet Muhammad. Whereas the Quran is the word of God, the Traditions of Prophet Muhammad (his teachings, sayings, and actions) are the practical interpretations of the Quran. Both the Quran and the Traditions of the Prophet Muhammad are the primary sources of knowledge in Islam.
  18. Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '97: Wear sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas, the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now. Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine. Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 pm on some idle Tuesday. Do one thing every day that scares you. Sing. Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours. Floss. Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself. Remember complimens you receive. Forget the insults. If you succeed in doing this, tell me how. Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements. Stretch. Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don't. Get plenty of calcium. Be kind to your knees. You'll miss them when they're gone. Maybe you'll marry, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll have children, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll divorce at 40, maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary. Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much, or berate yourself either. Your choices are half chance. So are everybody else's. Enjoy your body. Use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it or of what other people think of it. It's the greatest instrument you'll ever own. Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. Read the directions, even if you don't follow them. Do not read beauty magazines.   20. Hey everyone Hi, Well somebody actully a guy I don't know never heard of never seen who is a somali and a muslim has hacked 2 emails of mine.......He calls it's cracking but I call it hacking.. The second one got hacked because I was being rude, the only reason I was being rude was to make him hack it because I had installed a firewall and it didn't even keep him out.... Oh yah and all this started b/c of my sister.......he's basically a jobless dude who has nothing bettter to do... My point is can anyone help me......I mean he took away my lovely email and all the people in my msn......he can even talk horrible to them and say mean things........I am dying to get it back and I am thinking their are some smart people out there who can help me.........
