  1. Let me concede the facts you alluded to namely 1) TNG, civil society (hand picked by armed clans), and elders (hand picked by armed clans) had taken part in the conference. 2) Remaining warlords ahve been incorporated into the prevailed TFG militia wing. Awoowe the likes of Mohamed Dhere were and still are warlords. Whether they operate independently in pursue of their own personal interests or form part of biased and partisan militia their sub clans dominate makes no difference. Be that as it may awoowe what I’m really interested in is “restoration of the state” argument. Questions for Il Generale: 1. Can one faction and one side of the conflict impose their version of “state” or “law and order” on the rest by force -- including employing foreign tanks? When this sort of thing happen there is agreed terminology for it -- will you except calling things by their right name. 2. Considering the status of the conflict (raging still: Benadir on fire, Kismayo in dispute, recovery zone on the brink of conflict, PL closer than close to imploding) where does Nairobi contract stand -- Is it valid? Or back to the drawing board is in order. 3. Considering the very argument Inna Yussuf made against TNG -- does that argument still have legs to stand on when made against TFG by folks who found themselves in Inna Yussuf’s shoes? 4. Are you as nomad open to political reconciliation the operative word is political where all matters of public importance are on the table -- no exceptions? You will be on the record. Let it role awoowe.
  2. The stage is set for showdown. Wadeeco Alla.
  3. Xiin, save the strongman for now. I want to have Il Generale on the hot seat. Il Generale, My argument was not about warlords being part and parcel of the TFG. Nevertheless since you brought that one up let's take a go at that very point. 1. Mohamed Dhere -- tough cookie that drops the hammer on civilians like they are flies. 2. Qeybdiid -- the one from the other side of Galkacyo district.
  4. The short answer is NO my man Emperor. There are many difficult chess games in Somalia that have three dimensions but not this one. 1. TFG is a horse saddled by armed warlords. 2. Foreigners hands, Egypt, Italy, IGAD as a group, Ethiopia -- the conference was not Somali-owned process. 3. Islamists were denied to participate. 4. Participants was chosen by the armed officer of representative clan. After so many years: 1. Original officers have either disowned their product, forced out, fallen from grace, or rebelled. 2. Transitionl institutions like parliament have split into two. 3. Ethiopia have intervened on behalf of remaining TFG wing and used force to impose their legitimacy on others. 4. Only two sub clans call the shots out of original thirteen. 5. Conflict is on-going -- by default we are back to square one. The complexity of the Somali affair is not what this TFG is made of -- after all it is known commodity awoowe. But rather what we have today. We now have two powerful subclans -- power being relative let me defined in simple terms that's in sync with nomad real politik -- sub clans that occupy important regions, armed to the teeth, and secured the blessing of neighboring regional power and world power blinded by illusive non existent existential threat posed by three terrorists in Somalia. Awoowe dowladnimadu laba reer kama maqna. Somalina iyagga ma aysan wakiilan oo dawladdii heedhahaya inoo soo celiya ma oran. Dukaan labo shuraako ku tahay hawshatani ka weyn boowe.
  5. Emperor, awoowe yes or no would have sufficed. I see you are not ready for lil muran on that issue. TFG is legit government in the eyes of the powers that be. However there at home where it matters they are viewed as another faction dominated by two sub-clans and armed by gaalo. Awoowe bal inta nafta u sheeg waxani waa aduun aakhiraana looga socdaaye.
  6. Emperor sxb question for you: Is parlaiment in Baydhabo legit to you? Why?
  7. Clinton machine is pretty robust. Dems are solidly behind her candidacy. Obama is relying on new block of dem voters, independents, and college age students. They couldn't deliver for him last night. He has tight org and enough green bundles. The fighting ground is now in the West, Nevada is next. Organized labor (service union) call the shots. Watch who they give their important endorsement!
  8. ^My man Kashafa has already thrown your character in the marked basket The kid is on Jihad mission and he has found the infidels and hypocrites -- in the cyber world Originally posted by Kashafa: Baashi, You ever find yourself in the DC area, drop me a line. You'll have the honour of meeting the Green Beret kid in person. Hopefully then you'll be able to give me a khutba on 'Akhlaaq'.....or then again, you might reconsider No match. You won hands down. Awoowe has conceded defeat -- in advance. However, I would love to see the bravery and valor awaiting this old and dovey awoowe in DC be tested on the ground zero where the Green Beret demand is high
  9. War annagaa wax aragnay. Widaay MMA awoowe halkee igala qaaday. Is calling for negotiated settlement equivalent to, in ur book, justifying, rationalizing, or intellectualizing the unjustifiable violence in Mogadishu? Does understanding the Somali conflict and its deep roots mean acceptance? Did or didn’t I made abundantly clear with painstaking clarity that I do oppose the Tigre presence on Somali soil, its military operation in the national seat, and the TFG’s war against one of the main Somali sub clans? By any chance do you understand that conflict are either won outright by one of the contestants or ended it through negotiated settlement participated by all contestants -- the operative word is all? Inna Mukhtaaroow waxa ogaataa short of victory by either TFG or its opposition, dirrin is where this baby will end up. Now how does stating that or making that case can be construed as justifying the crimes of the TFG or its leaders beats me. It real does wallahi.
  10. Xiinoow awoowe halkee baad la aaday. Folks who are ready to vote for him are color blind College students and young professionals dominate this block according to pundits.
  11. Awoowe Suldaan waa innagii hadde. Mise waxaan uga haraa xataa annaa ya fircoon
  12. Fair point Blue balck brown Farax. I have been there. I have been in Nakuru (I took my cousin to Hospital run by Germans circa 1990). I know the place. Awoowe Moi was Kalenjin and back then Kikuyu were complaining about Kalenjins (spelling not sure). Bottom line is no one benefits from all out war. Kenya has a robust economy, it has the respect of many nations around the world. It has also a weak point which is ethnic collection -- combustible. Enflame the sitaution and mob will take over. They won't address the injustice. What they will only do is burn and loot. That's what you are looking for I guess. Odinga has a political capital today. If he has the skills required he can milk that capital. Kibaki wants the presidency. Government system is more than presidency. Take judicial system and reform it. Take up the land issue in the parliament and reform it. I don't see what's preventing him to use the resources he has now. Milk as much as you can from Kibaki and use majority you have in the parliamemt. It is doable. Save the country. Sideedana awoowe in politics it is always prudent to appeal to the center and not to give in to extreme interest groups at the priphery. My man Odinga has a choice to make: give in to Kelinjins or consolidate the support from all other ethnic collection who propelled him to the position he is in today.
  13. Trade-offs buddy trade-offs. Unlike you warmongers, peace and stability are far more important to Kenyans methinks. Granted there are corruption and bais in the system but that discrepency can be straighten out without putting the entire house the Kenya is on fire. Anarchy doesn't benefit anyone awoowe. Had Aideed Sr. managed to keep the lid on negative backlash his knsmen axacted against old establishment he would have saved Somalia and crowned himself as the uncontested presidenct. Look at us today. What did addressing injustice instituted by military junta has done for the populace. No awoowe let peace prevail in Kenya. Condition is not that bad to wish for anarchy.
  14. Awoowe Kashafa I love you too. Tell me lies tell me sweet lil lies oh no you can’t disguise...old school song I blv by Fleetwood Mac. I see Kelligii Muslim making a scene again. Tough acting take-no-prisoner cyber Green Beret kid spewing speeches from the comfort of his apt! Frustrated kid whose bad Akhlaaqiyaad are only exceeded by his emotional, irrational impulsive feelings which apparently compel him to drag deceased Muslims on the cyber ground -- or throw up in the sight of ailing old man. What a waste! And he wants us to blv he does all of this because he loves Islam so much. Initially I did but not anymore. I gotta find him another trash bin to put this character for Kelligii Muslim basket just won’t do. As to the irrational and at times laughable nationalism of my man MMA, well awoowe your belief in Somalinimo borders faith -- dangerous territory. Granted Inna Yussuf has mowed good number of our brethren in Benadir. One of these days he will meet his Maker. Why disturb all the patients in that facility and make their recovery difficult? What end does that achieve? Good manners are in order. Khadka yaan la jibaaxin.
  15. Cool heads will prevail. Kenya is no Somalia. The stakes are high. There are countries who depend on its port. There are third party groups who have made huge investment in this country. There is Somali region which we obviously all care about its well being. Not to mention Somali refugees who have settled there after they fled from the civil war that engulfed their home country. They have made a huge gains due to the peace loving and civilized Kenyans who have welcomed them with open arms. I should know. Things will come down in due time Insha'Allah. Awoowe ducada aamiin dhaha. Allow shido naga dhowr.
  16. A hardcore like you see things in black and white. Awoowe I don't believe in absolutes when it comes to shifting sand of Somali politicking. The case I have against secession is robust case and I have yet to see someone capable in refuting it. The good thing is we are past the days when the total sum of defending secession amounted to Ambasador bldg pics and hate lame line. I'm signing along with you prince indeed Beeni raad ma leh haha been allow run ma moodaa PS: Boorame folks are riding with the SL strongman who was chosen as the best way out of anaother Habar Kuuleey vs Habar Shiish civil war. He settled that one al right
  17. Emperor awoowe you are right clan matrix is multivariable and hence the complication you have alluded to. Like Thierry these are my personal choices. Remember justice is what we need and if that's delivered to the masses who administers matters less. Again you ahve point there buddy.
  18. Cool. Thierry awoowe we are on the same page then.
  19. Watch out fellas Clinton camp has deep pockets and well-organized political machine. Remember Clintom lost Iowa, NH, SC and went on to win the nomination. It can happen again.
  20. Shar ma Arke awoowe compromise is the name of the game. The big picture necessitates budging a bit and to settle with less.
  21. How about Adow or Sherif. They are reasonable fellas methinks. They are pretty knowledgeable about Islam. And they seem to understand how the game is played (Khartoum negotiation before white-eyed man preempted them). Eduacated, young, and well-versed in nomad politiking.
  22. Thierry, Awoowe which Somaliland are you rooting for? Clearly not all regions in the former British protectorate are for seceding from Somalia. There are Hargeisa-Berbera-Burco-Boorame-Seylac triangle. And there are Sool, Ceyn, and Sanaag. Arguably overwhelming majority of the former is for secession. Significant number of the latter is for staying put with the rest of Somalia. Apparently the South's mess has not affected the regions in the North that are for pro-unity. Puntland too seem to be stable and are thriving economically. Why support the imposition of recognitition on folks who choose to stay put with their brethern? Awoowe dismembering Somalia is not practical period. If dismembering Somalia is practical without violating the self-determination of some of the residents in the region plz explain to me. I'm all ears.
