You are a good and young soldier defending Somaliland as much as you can, but we know the fact is different than the actual reality of the SL army.
It is true that many of the foot soldiers are from different regions, but the officers are exclusively from Muuse Biixi clan. Never seen in the history of any somali region or government , except Jubbaland and SL were more than half of the officers came from one single clan.
They have 16 colonels out of the 30, including the chief of the army. If you ad their Burco sidekick that makes them more than 70%.
AS we speak , there is a new slogan which the Somaliland people are saying loudly .
"Dhiiga Soomaalida , lagu midayn maayo Soomaaliland"
No one is willing to die to boost the standing of Ina Biixi. People from every region are calling their boys not to die for the Jeegaan.

Despite what the Jeegaan is claiming Somaliland is very venerable and this time I do believe that Muuse Biixi might not even finish his term. They are throwing a lot of money in to the Sool region and want to use an unnecessary war to boost his standing but the opposition is bigger than the Jeegaan itself this time. I am not talking about the political parties but the people and regions who want to bring down Muuse and the Jeegaan.
When the Somali people were suffering through war and famine, and the prospect of Somali state was slim, they could not get the so called recognition. Now that the Somali state is rising, the tide will turn not only against the ideology but "The Jeegaan" clique.

This trip by Farmaajo was very courageous. Despite its security challenges , he took a big risk and made a bold move. Sometimes those who rule these regions do not even travel by land.
I always believed that there is a huge difference between the politician and the public. The president or any other Somali leader should allow the naysayers or his opposition to prevent tp reach the people. He must meet and sense the pulse of the people. The Somali people want to see and feel their leaders.
The Somali people has matured in so many ways, and they have shown their eagerness to have a responsible government among the free nations of the world.

These people were oppressed for two hundred years by the Abyssinian empire. Because of their diverse geographical locations which stretches from west of Jijiga all the way to the border of Sudan. Lage percentage of them are Muslims who want to be free, they also have large christian population and millions who are animists. Most are peasants and farmers who are isolated from other civilizations.
The animists and others who are connected to the Ethiopian system are very dangerous to us. The biggest fear is that the TPLF could direct some of these know nothings against us .
AS many have said , population separation is the best solutions at the moment.

Egypt does need to occupy Ethiopia.
Eritrea had been under sanctions for 15 years, and this Egyptian alliance will be their card to get out of the crippling sanctions. The sanctions against Sudan was lifted through the help of Saudi Arabia after the former deployed troops to Yemen.
The planes will fly from an Eritrean air bases located couple of hundred miles from the Dam and will fly back to their base. Ethiopia have to move 100,000 soldiers or more to invade Eritrea and move all their military resources to the mountainous border.
I can not wait to see how this geopolitical game ends. It will change the whole region.

We know the Oromo that are pushing the Anti Somali narrative. They are the Monarchists who were raised under Emperor Selassie and those who are usually think like Amhara. It is not people like Jawar Mohammed or others. The Somali Oromo issue will die soon. All they need is effective security supervision and separation i some regions.
Dire-Dawa is now dominated by Oromo and those in the City have good relations with the Somali. The former Mayor who was Oromo built Mosques and other amenities denied by the Derg.
I can assure these skirmishes will end either by population separation or peaceful resolution, but the Ethiopian problem is bigger than Somalis and Oromo's.

The Siilaanyo government looted every thing. They signed deals with individual vultures from around the world. These stones are from Simmoodi and Lughaya region of Awdal. The people who leave around these minerals are starving .

The Jarso are Somali by ethnicity a 100%.
I do not want to write here the whole tribal genealogy , but their roots go through the Dir can. We the Adwalites are Madalug Dir, and the Jaarso are Madaxweyne Dir.
The Jaarso live inhabit : Jigjiga, Jinacsani, Babeli,Tuliguleed, Hadow, Dhagahle, Bombaas, Fayanbiro, Fayan Hujubo, Ordo,Kombulsho, Gursum, Diri dawa, Dadar,Qulubi, Ejersa Goro, Harar, Haramaya, Baali, Hawaday, Awash Part of Oromia Region and also live in the border of kenya.
The Horyaal Democratic Party was founded by the Dir Jaarso clan and Awadal clan,s their area of influence straddles the Somaliland border and incorporated the Dire Dawa, Jijiga,Jinacsani,Ajersa Kora and the Awbar zones.
As Suldaan Will Waal said the other day, there are over two million of these Somalis who adopted Oromo language in their area. If you visit between Harar and Dire Dawa you will see the so called Warro" Somalis who live in these lands.

A town like Jinacsani which is less than 30 km to the Somali border became the Oromo Zone. these places were part of the Somali zone until the so called referendum of 2004. The people killed inside Oromo zone are mostly the Somali Jarso and others who are ethnic Somalis.
Somalis have the habit of escaping from one minor oppression to a bigger one, rather than show some patience and perseverance to overcome the problem. The Somali tribal rebels complained about the minor oppressions of Siyaad Bare , and went to MInguistu Hailemarium , one of the bloodiest dictators of the twentieth century who murdered 60 generals thousands of officers and tens of thousands of civilians, which brought us today the mess we are all trying to get out.
The Oromo people have flooded Hargeisa, Borama and Djibouti for the last 30 years. In Somaliland , there are almost 100,000 Oromo population. So the Somalis in Hararghe region are also flooded by large population growth of the Oromo, yet if you look back in early fifties oe even sixties, these were Somali regions.
There was a poem which was authored by a Somali in late fifties which said:
Goorma ayaa Hobyo, Herar( Dooxa herar Hargeisa)
Iyo Hawaas isku hiilin doonaan.
The Jaarso must reverse that referendum and stay with their Somali people despite the hardship they had faced from Illey and company.

Free market without competition is just a monopoly to enrich few people. The Oman fiber optic cable is much cheaper than the Somecable owned by Mohamed AW Said , an oligarch who mainly financed Muuse Biixi campaign.
People in Somaliland are paying hundred of dollars to access these services. If the Oman cable comes, the price could easily go 50% less than what people are paying.
Ministers who signed these project two years ago were fired on the stop by Siilanyo. The whole economy is based on import and resale, and people are suffering. There is no commission to regulate electricity, cable, telephone or any other services.

As we speak , there is another drought in the coastal region of Awdal. Usually people hear these tragedies after people start dying. While lack of rain and the geographical nature of the region is the main reason for these recurring droughts, local people, the region and the so called government in Somaliland could do much more to help these people.
They could build water reservoirs , establish fishing communities, and create drought observation measures to detect before they become natural disaster.
They did not even spent and distributed the money raised for the last drought. The donor nations spending millions of dollars in Somaliland to help the poor people of the region, yet all that money goes to the coffers of the elite. These donor countries are either corrupt themselves or they would have demanded the results on the ground or where the aid money were spent.
If you visit the website or read the mission and the vision of the western aid agencies, their most basic criteria is improving health care, especially for women and children, education, and sustainable development like fishing communities, agriculture, and rural development. Yet a very small percentage of that money goes to the people who need these services.
Now, the Somali government must intervene and scrutinize the activity of these agencies and their aid. No wells were built, no water reservoirs were built, and there were no roads or fishing communities established. All the money went to Hargeisa and ended up to the coffers of the elite. One of the major reason of the inflation is that there are looted millions of dollars in the market with few commodities like food, clothing, fuel and other which are all imported.
Those from Awdal who are sitting in Mogadishu must demand their share of the federal government and transfer the money to well established local aid agencies like Amoud foundation and help alleviate the poverty. You can not leave these people at the mercy of a hungry tribe who is building tribal capacity not the people's capacity. Last year when a similar but deadly drought hit the Awdal coast, the MOgadishu elders brought a million dollar of relieve to help the Awdal people in particular. Could you imagine that only $150,000 of that money were allocated for Awdal the rest is take by the tribe.
Everything that is functioning in Awdal is built by the people. The only problem we have in the Awdal a dysfunctional government both locally and in Hargeisa.The so called governor from Hargeisa is chewing his Qat us usual while people are suffering.
President Farmaajo, we want a direct aid to Awdal. We no longer trust the Hargeisa click to help these people.
No more foreign aid for corrupt oligarchs. If these aides does not reach the intended people, they must be stopped.
Stop the aid, stop the looting. If there is any issue the Awdal diaspora could do any thing is this issue. Go to the EU countries and their embassies and demand that these money either be stopped or go to the right people.

Starting tonight, I , Galbeedi, would like to claim to be a Trump specialist.
Here is why?
As I watched Trump calling Haitians, Salvadorans and other African countries to " Shit hole countries", I came to realize that every time Trump, on purpose, announces astonishing remarks that dominate the news cycle, he is usually trying to divert and obscure another huge issue that will dominate the news cycle the day after. In other words, he is preempting the next breaking story.
Last year when he signed the MUslim ban directive, he was trying to side track the media about the FBI bombshell about Mike Flynn. Every time he acts or says something reprehensible , he is trying to divert the attention of something big. He did the same thing when Paul Manafort was indicted or when other major issues came up.
Now, the major reason Trump tried to divert is also a huge issue that was in the print media as of today.
The Wall Street Journal has reported today that one month before the election of 2016, Trump paid $130,000 to former porn star called Stormy Daniels through the arrangement of his lawyer Mikael Cohen . The woman in question has denied, but the media people got facts about this case.
Every time people say , " what did he said or did?" expect a bombshell next day.
As I said before money , jewelry or fancy cars will not change the characters of a gangster. America got a gangster as a president. He hates former president Obama too much, he can not hide his hate. He knows that sooner or later he will be a disgraceful president who either be impeached or resign in disgrace. I haven't read the new book about Fire And Fury , but one of the biggest take away is that he never wanted to be a president. We all know that some white deplorables probably are delighted by these comments by Trump, yet these deplorables are getting worse by the day in terms progress and employment opportunity. Even here in Canada, the white working class does not want to work. A white friend of mine , who has a business hauling oil from the rural countryside, said he could not find any suitable employees to drive his trucks even though he he is paying $30 per hour. He said, most of them could not pass the drug test. He said, opioid and other drugs had reached even small towns.
The Conservatives do not stand for anything anymore. What is left for these conservatives is bashing Muslims, immigrants and those who are different from them. In Canada, it is Omar Kadar and the Syrian refugees.
Just like what is expected of any bully, Trump is looking victims and escape goats. His trade campaign promise to target Chinese deficit and currency issues are out of the door. The Chinese got a little rocket man called Kim, and Trump is spending his days about measuring the size of his nuclear bottom. So, all his trade attacks are now directed against good old Canada. He threatens every day to cancel the North American Free Trade (NAFTA) which does not produce any deficit with Canada. If you remove the energy, Canada is in deficit ,and the cancellation of the agreement might hurt more American states than Canada.
Everyone one is waiting in November 2018, for the democrats to take the house and in 2019 to start the impeachment. I guess, we should be patient for the next 10 or 12 months before this "Child" is sent to his place.

When SPLA was founded in 1983, and their soldiers and bases were in Ethiopia. At that time there were no Eritrean state. What you referring was when Eritrea had clashed with Sudan and cut diplomatic relations.
Facts do not hinder you from throwing things to the wall as usual. Yet, I have to enlighten you about certain things that might help you understand the region better, as well as other people who might overlook history. In the seventies , both Somalia and Sudan left the communist bloc and allied themselves with America and their friends.
At the same time , after 1974, Ethiopia became a the communist flag bearer in the region. They allied with South Yemen and Libya. Menguistu tried to use the communist card and helped ethnic Sudanese and Somali tribal movements to further his agenda.
SPLA was armed, organized and guided from Addis. THey brought down the Somali state through those rebels, and they dismembered Sudan eventually. The biggest threat of Sudan since 1970-2005 was Ethiopia arming the rebels. Ethiopia is using Bashiir to help him against Sudan at the moment.

The Arab league has an opportunity to do something at this juncture of their history. The three largest wars of the last 40 years has taken place in their neighborhood and they done nothing to stop. Thousands died in Syria as well as YEmen. With all this blood they have nothing to show for other than misery.
These Dams by Ethiopia are nothing but a cash cow and strategic ploy to keep these countries in dire need of their mercy. Arabs had never done anything for their own population, now is the time to force Ethiopia to play by the rules or face the consequences.
If Egypt goes ahead and stops this dam, it will be also helping Sudan.

We have been killed by Oromo and TPLF. It Is a well crafted genocide of the Somali people inside EThiopia.
We know that Amhara will not die for tribal or even for the power. THey are very sophisticated. Only tribal people like us and primitive peasants like Oromo will fall to the trap and create the civil war. The Somali zone is one of the largest landmass in Ethiopia, if not the largest, and Oromo being the largest ethnic group, Amhara and Tigre will be nothing, but if you create animosity and hatred between these two , then the Tigray and Amhara can breath for a while.
They already lost the power to control the army. In the latest security council meeting chaired by the prime minister and the defence minister and federal police chiefs, the news is bad.
According to Addis Standard, Two sources familiar with the meeting have told Addis Standard during the weekend that “concerns were raised by members of the national defense forces and the federal police regarding strong resistance from several parts of the public, particularly in Oromia and Amhara regional states".
The biggest issue is Oromia and Amhara regions. Why does Oromo and the TPLF putting us in the middle of something that does not concern us.
A Harreri friend of mine who has family members in Diredawa and Addis told me that the plan by the Oromo allied with the government and the Amhara and some TPLF members want to disband and weaken the Liyu police. They are proposing a plan to disband all regional police or keep very small number of lightly armed officers and transfer all security issues to federal army.
At this difficult time if the Liyu police is weakened or disbanded, the Somalis in Ethiopia will be a sitting ducks who could be massacred by Oromo and others. The Liyu police is evil and ruthless, yet it is the only security force that could protect the Somali public or annex the land if things get worse.
Ninyahow, our people are in great danger, and we do not have the answers.

OO, i did not say Somali in terms of the old great republic of ours. What I was referring was the Somali Zones. Somaliland Zone, Puntland Zone and Zone five which are all Ethiopia's Zone of influence at the moment. THat does not mean that these regions could became viable and ethical regions in the future.
By the way, in my opinion , the troop build up in Eritrea is not directed at Sudan. Sudan is too huge to be occupied or dismembered. I think , the troop build up is that, if Egypt bombs the Dam, and Ethiopia tries to retaliate against Eritrea, then Egypt must defend that country. due to her rugged landscape and mountains, and tough nature of it's people, it could do well to defend herself.
If Sisi want my advice , here is how I conduct the war.
First I mobilize the Oromo cities and organize huge demos that would cripple big cities. Then As these demonstration become riots because of heavy handedness by TPLf troops would use live bullets, lightly armed Oromo rebels will start checkpoints to secure their neighborhoods. . Last two years TPLF soldiers killed close to a thousand Oromo civilians, but this time they will not be able to get away.
As the problem grows, C/fataax Al -Sisi will issue an ultimatum to stop the dam project or else. If the TPLF does not resolve the issue within prescribed time table, Sisi will start bombing the dam. Then the TPLF will mobilize the army to attack Eritrea. Then, the president of Eritrea will declare a war to defend his nation and tell the Ethiopian people not to follow the TPLf. At the same time Sudan will be warned not to interfere with this issue.
President Cumar Al-Bashiir should know that his country was dismembered by Ethiopian backed SPLA guerilla movement and others, and if he wants a prosperous Sudan he needs a different Ethiopia. Mr. Bashiir became close to Ethiopia to save his skin and avoid the UN criminal court. For years, he was pushed to give up South Sudan despite the early agreements to accommodate SS as autonomous region. Finally , he gave away the shop and accepted the formation of South Sudan, yet as soon as he signed the accord, the international court indicted him with war crime.
He is not a bad leader, but he must know the country, Sudan is bigger than him.
Bashir or Sudan has no guarantee that Ethiopia might arm another group in the future. So now is the time to get rid of the old colonial post in the horn of by just staying out of the mess. These dams are not for local development or enhancing energy capacity for the locals. It is solely used to export electricity and make money from water resources the must be shared by everyone.
As Ethiopia tries to survive, we will crush her child, Al-shabaab, and her Zones of influence. If Ethiopia goes down, people in Hargeisa will rise up and overthrow Biixi. Ahmed Madoobe will make a decision to either go with Kenya or expel them from the country.
