Well, what do you expect from these people? They feel that their useless opinion is some how going to hold back people who want to have everything that other societies take granted for like being able to live a normal life. Anyway, for what it's worth, they can write, protest, or sing, the reality on the ground is that Puntland will focus on its future and its political and economic interest; regarless of who agrees or disagree.
  4. ^^^ i'm with you on that one. What can you do? Old habits are hard to break, but luckly, Puntland has the young generation who is more the eager to invest, transform, and make Puntland the envy of Africa and the world.

  6. ^^^^ no its not like that. I think most of reer Puntland would love to invest in Puntland, including your truly, but the problem is getting a loan plus people to do business. Furthermore, there is disconnection between reer puntland at home and abroad. I think the minister should create a office in areas like America, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East so that reer puntland can network, invest, and buy into shares of companies. What do you think osman?
  7. Lebanon, Oman, Dubai, Yeman, Qatar, etc. The list of trading partners of Puntland goes on and on..... Well done Mr. Maxamuud Ibraahim.
  8. ^^^^^^^ i'm happy that both of you are happy.
  9. i just can't get enough of their lame attempt of concern for people they never cared for or for that matter liked. Now, they tell us their concern for our land in order to hold back the local people attempt to improve their standard of living. I have one message for all of you; no amount of fake concerns will hold back Puntland and their future endeavours.

Thus all this concern for the environment, for the profit sharing, for the well being of the civilians of this region. A region who's cities some of you want to occupy. Who's politicians you vilify and insult. Who's historical contribution you play down. No the likes of MMA, Carafat, Oodweyne and even Bilan, should not worry about the harmful effects of the Oil. It will be the problem of this region and of this people who you never cared for. Why do you mind if we get sucked into a Ponzi or if Oil seeps and kills all the green pastures? No my brothers, don't worry about us, we shall take care of ourselves and if we can help, like always we shall help you. Well done. Bravo! Encore!. Couldn't said better myself.

Chimera;783608 wrote: Xiinfaniin my call for more transparency and accountability comes as result of reading the Oil-histories of countries like Chad and Equatorial Guinea, and the environmental destruction ongoing in Nigeria. I will take a decade of bad media coverage with our resources and nature safe, over a decade of cleaning an environmental disaster, or having to deal with a Siad Barre on steroids high on oil-money. Are you hundred percent sure, those negative hallmarks of our current national identity will disappear once the oil start flowing? Do we have the type of leaders to raise our people's standards of living? While Oodweyne recently called me a bootlegged version of you - which I take great pride in, I however do not share your optimistic view in this case. Once the oil comes, will you still ask silly questions?

Why would arabs help us. we are not arabs, but somali. It's not their fault where we are today and for the past 20 yrs. Part of being people and country is taking responsibility for the bad things that happens. So, it us and not them.

I know the oil deal was signed without the approval of the tfg. So, one wonders, where are these people getting 50/50 from? 50/50 works when there is a central government that controls all the territories. Does the tfg control every inch of the country? No. So, the 50/50 bs will not apply to Puntland.
