I have watched Phil Dowd officiate Liverpool games so many times I'm convinced he just hates us. What a joke of a ref! Two clear penalties he didn't award for us tonight. We played the best football we have played all season but only after going down 2-0.

Politically? Maybe in terms of pushing for recognition but I think generally its has been all you could expect. Then again everyman and his adhi has created a political party. I think there was a delay aswell.

^These local elections are quite unique in that its a knockout process reducing political parties to just 3 from about 6 or 7. I'm looking forward to the end of the elections so the news channels report on other things. Its been the same non stop reporting for like 4 months. Some of the candidates would make you laugh with what they say

Been there and done that. Glad I’m out of the ‘should I shouldn’t I’ stage of my career with regard to social events. I’m usually straight with them but try and explain why as well. I would offer to buy/bring in breakfast/lunch the following week. Oday, to ease things you can offer to buy lunch for your team the following week. Pizza etc (nothing major). They will appreciate it and won’t pressurise you in the future. Your get out of jail card this time of year (but stress this isn’t a Xmas lunch but a gesture to team member etc) .
