  4. At least 73 Somalis, mainly civilians, have died in the latest fighting to rock Mogadishu on Saturday. Reuters At least 73 Somalis, mainly civilians, have died in the latest fighting to rock Mogadishu on Saturday, witnesses and residents said. The day's biggest toll came in the busy Al Barakah residential and market area, where 20 people died when mortars hit the area, witnesses said. Bodies lay strewn in the street, some headless and others mutilated beyond recognition. Saturday's death toll is expected to soar as Ethiopian and Somali troops battled insurgents across the city, with incessant shelling in residential neighbourhoods. Published: April 21, 2007 14:12h
  5. Me, it doesn't really take a genious to figure it out, or does it? Be as critical in your thinking as you may be and ask yourself: what lands and people are there to unite? Somali lands ofcourse. Now, narrow and deepen your question and ask yourself: who are these people and who wanted to unite them with Somalia?
  6. The case was always forcefully 'united qabiils', with one qabiil at the helm. Who are we kidding. Unity/disunity was reliant on clan interest and still does. Indhaha in la is tiro ma ahan people. Smell the coffee .
  7. Xiin: In short, although I understand the political rational and other implicit incentives of creating new state in Sanaag, I question the viability of such a state . Further more, I do in principle think you could be more effective in your initiative if you target infrastructure building and developmental type programs. Why fish in the shallow ends then, as it were, and not in the deep waters, i ask! The viability? To save populations from war and starvation. Equiped with that, fishing in the deeper waters seems to be the only option.
  8. ^^How did that affect your finger? Freezing?
  9. ^^Lol, Extra is really funny. I watched that episode where the East Enders' Ross Kemp is bragging that he was in the SAS and kick Vini Jones' behind. Then Vini shows up and Ricky Juves tells him what Ross said lol. Ross starts to fret and shake in fear... the whole scence was simply amazing - hilarious really. Elysian, lol. There is a degree to weirdness and the Scandanavians seem to have the lead on it. I find their humour quite peculiar really. Their lax attitude towards many things is also noticable.

  11. The poor folks are used as escape goats. They're probably the most innocent amongst us, but may happen to be of a different clan. One man is from Sanaag Bari while the other is from Sool region. Riyaale is giving the blood of these two men to the public of Somaliland, since he has failed in his adventures in the SSC region. Its a scandal and if Somaliland tribes are very conscious, they would put a stop to Riyaale's mockery. Any sensible individual would clearly see that the verdict on these men is meant to create clan enmity between Somalilanders and neighbouring clans. Its an ill-willed design that only hightens mistrust between peoples. Few in the SL admin may want to see this but I am sure the public would condemn such intentions.
  12. Leave Violet alone. Let us welcome her aboard. Violet, I am glad to read your writings.
  13. Emperor, do you want to know the simple differentiating critrea between Ethiopian and Eritrean support? The answer this straightforward question: Whose troops and hardware are in Mogadishu right now as we speak? A- Ethiopia; or B-Eritrea?
  14. Xiinow: Waa iga: Digniin na la ma siin Allow, gumacna diir saaqye yeynan ku ooyin maalin aanan maanta ahayn.
  15. I am to conclude that the argument of those who 'seem' to voice opposition to the rullings of the Cullama, is null and void. Their's is posting to equal what others' post. No substance can be derived from what they have being saying and would say for a long time to come. So I say, do not delude yoursevles as to your position; I am sure deep down in your hearts, there sits a clarity that can free you from unquestioning support of the wrong over the right. Good luck to you. PS: Maanta ayey talo idinla gudboon tahay ee wax isula haraay oo is barqabta. Hadeysa idin gudubto maanta, idinkaa og sidaad u gam'i laydeen
  16. Originally by Emperor: Paragon that's an old version of Sheikh Cumar Faaruq's speech, the Sheikh words were misused by opportunitists and misqouted, below is where he retracted from earlier comment: Sh.Cumar faaruuq oo ka hadlaya khudbad horay uu usii daayay oo loo fasirtay inuu Madaxda DFK ku gaalaysiiyay! Emperor, I don't think you have listened to what the good Sheikh has said in the last recording. The Sheikh has only clarified the conditions in which one associates with non-Muslims. If one is person is necessitated to provide a service to the non-Muslims because he essentially needs the provision the non-Muslims, they he/she might be excused. However, anyone who is bil caqiidah with the non-Muslim and shares the same ideology with them and hence comes to work with them, his/her actions takes him out of Islam. You need to listen carefully.
  17. ^^Alright Faarax, I understand you. This is what Sheikh Umal had to say yesterday: LISTEN TO SHEIKH UMAL on this issue. The Good Sheikh makes clear that the actions of those who use infidel forces to destroy Muslim lands and peoples, their actions are actions that can take them out of Islam. Listen to the whole tape.

  19. Lol@Xiin. Che action ayuu rabaa inuu arko, hadalka ayuuba dhibsadaa maalmalahan oo kale. He wants to be directed to where the 'furuntiga' is . Cent iyo Faarax, I agree, absolutely. lets just say its the start of something great. No more excuses for many folks. Faarax, Cumar Faaruuq has already given his rulling on this issue and the Cullama have very much echoed his words, so to speak. PS: LISTEN TO WHAT SHEIKH CUMAR HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE INVASION AND THE GAAL RAACYO
  20. Yes, their taste is not conservative, and yes they are doing a collabo with Ethiopians/Eritreans but still, its what they have produced with their own efforts, right? Its not nice to judge too soon . Give'em few more years and I am sure they'll outgrow some of the things you despise about them. Grow a bigger heart, will you . PS: I must admit, their magazine's design is good. The content? Not going to comment on it. Will I buy it? Nope.
  21. Lol, Xiin. Look closer and you might just be surprised . Lol, Cent. Thats very good.
  22. ^^I am not very sure, Centurion. But if this message spreads to all Somalis and Muslims, you may see a great deal of people with a troubled conscience.
  23. Faarax, I have this gut feeling that this is simply the seal of approval needed to wage dagaal kama dambeys ah. This fatwa divides between right in the middle- it sure does give the go ahead to rid Ethiopia out of Somalia, and more importantly, this fatwa ends all previous grey areas for those fighting alongside the Ethiopians. You are no longer considered Muslim, the fatwa declares. Cent, thanks for the information. I have this strong feeling that my uncle is in the list too. I remember him organizing demonstrations in all over Sanaag in support of the UIC. He has a great affinity to Mogadishu (where he ran a Madrassa in Madina) and has felt heartbroken when the Ethiopians invaded it. The Cullama's message sure is a welcome relief. Very much appreciated.
  24. Cent, how authoritative is the word of the Cullama mentioned in the list?
