    Oh my Nafs!

O my nafs Why do you like this dunya so much Why do like what allah has hated it Why do preffer this dunya over the akhirah Why do you insist on anger Why do you insist on hate Why do you insist on jelousy But why? Why? Why? I just wish that you could answer But O my Nafs I know this one for sure... That I will have to leave one day Whatever that was dear to me...In this world Whatever that was close to my heart I will have to leave everything behind One day... And all that will be my company Will me my deeds Wether they be bad or good And all those that I loved None of them will go with me In the dark.... In the grave.... So stop now o my nafs Stop insisting on evil deeds And make the best out of my life So that insha-allah When I go In the dark In the grave I will have a good company A company that I haven’t realized How precious it was In the sight of allah A Sincere heart... A True faith... A simple Smile... A helping hand... And all those good deeds That I did in this world Will be my best company In the dark... In the grave... And Those good deeds Will be the light of my grave The light of my siraat And the light that will win The favors of allah on me And on that day O Allah I hope that you’ll forgive me For all my shortcomings And all my mistakes And O my Lord I hope you’ll have Mercy on me For I’ve never despaired Your mercy and forgiveness For you’re the most Merciful, most Forgiving.
  6. The Condition of the Muslim Ummah The condition of the muslim ummah Is a reality that I cannot bear It’s the reality of wars It’s the reality of oppression It’s the reality of Injustice But Why O my Muslim Ummah Why are we in this condition? Even though I, as well as you Would want to blame on the enemy But the truth reality is that Its us who’s to be blamed It all Started when we stopped working for the Akhirah And Started preffereing this Dunya When we stopped struggling for Allah’s cause But started struggling for power and fame When we stopped feeding the poor But Started eating into our content When we stopped enjoining good But Started enjoining evil When we stopped considering other races As our brethren in Islam But started being the worst racist you can ever imagine I see no brotherhood of faith In the hearts of my Muslim Ummah But all I see Is the brotherhood of nationalism The brotherhood of racism The brotherhood of tribilism O my Muslim Ummah the reality of our condition Started when we crossed the limits set by Allah The Most High When we abandoned the deen When we abandoned the sunnah of our prophet We see much talk but no action And I ask why As allah has already asked us In his glorious quran “O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah Is that ye say that which ye do not.†Don’t you know that O my muslim brothers and Sisters That action speaks louder than words? O My Muslim Brothers and Sisters This Ummah of ours needs your help It needs you to put your trust in Allah The most High It needs you to practice Islam as a way of Life Instead of being part time muslims. Bcause this Ummah has a promise from allah That which He has promised in his Holy Book “Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion – the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: 'They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. 'If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked.â€
  7. Longing for Allah Oh my Allah, Thou are my *Rabb My faith for Thee is true and pure Thou are both merciful and mercy giving, Under Thy command are the dead and the living. Great are Thou, the All-knowing Glory is to Thee, O Eternally Living. I long to be with thee O Most Kind My love for thee is truly never-ending My heart trembles at Thy Glory And my eyes become watery And my body shivers with fear And my head is bending down in humility and adoration to Thee Prostrating to thee O Most High, is the best position I love to be Down on my knees With Thy love in my heart My head on the floor Longing for thee For thy love and forgiveness, is what I wish to have And Thy infinite mercy is what I hope for For Thou are most Merciful most Forgiving! 12. salaam sis modesty Walaahi if you worked with the conference you will notice that all the money that is charged would be spended on the expense that the conference would cost. The food served, the hole to rent, the speaker's fly tickets, all and much more would cost like more than $5,000. So you see, it is not like they're keeping money for themselves, they have to spend it on the conference itself. So even if you can donate plus buy the ticket would be so nice of you sis...cus that conference is not a cheap thing trust me on this sis. Salaam.

  15. Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence. Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer's beautiful daughter. So he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let providence decide the matter. He told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag. 1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven. 2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven. 3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail. They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer's field. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag. Now, imagine that you were standing in the field. What would you have done if you were the girl? If you had to advise her, what would you have told her? Careful analysis would produce three possibilities: 1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble. 2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat. 3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment. Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking. The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers. What would you recommend to the Girl to do? Scroll down if you give up............... .. Well, here is what she did .... The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles. "Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked." Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one. MORAL OF THE STORY: Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don't attempt to think.
  16. Hey Shirwac, thanks for the reply walaal. I would really appreciate if you would do that walaahi. Please hook me up with all the news, aight . Big thanks. Salam

    POET'S POET

I know how one feels when someone will say That your poems are welcome and ask you to stay, For it makes you real proud Welcomed into the crowd, And you maybe have learned you're a poet that way. But for me rhyme alone leaves something desired, And reading some poems makes me feel uninspired, For it takes something more Or the rhyme may just bore, There's another small fact that I think is required. The thing to improve rhyming most will admit Is the added support of a rhythm to it. Just give it some zing, For by adding some swing An enjoyable poem you're then sure to get. I know adding rhythm's not as easy as pie But a poet won't know if he doesn't comply. Just by tapping your toe So your fingers will know You can add rhythm to any poem if you try. So give it a try before slamming the door For I'm sure you can do it, you just have to keep score, Like someone I know Always said it should go... a-one and a-two and a-three and a-four. ========== Author: Unknown.
  18. The Conversation Between Watts & Knotts : "Who's calling?" was the answer to the telephone. "Watt." "What is your name, please?" "Watt's my name." "That's what I asked you. What's your name?" "That's what I told you. Watt's my name." A long pause, and then from Watt, "Is this James Brown?" "No, this is Knott." "Please tell me your name." "Will Knott." "Why not?" "Huh? What do you mean why not?" "Yeah! Why won't you tell me your name?" "But I told you my name!" "Didn't you say you will not?" "Not not, Will Knott!" "That's what I mean." "So you know my name." "Of course not!" "Good. So now, what is yours?" "Watt. Yours?" "Your name!" "Watt's my name." "How the hell do I know? I am asking you!" "Look I have been very patient and I have told you my name and you have not even told me yours yet." "You have been patient, what about me? I have told you my name so many times and it is you who have not told me yours yet." "Of course not!" "See, you even know my name!" "Of course not!" "Then why do you keep saying of course Knott?" "Because I don't." [Pause] "What is your name?" "See, you know my name!" "Of course not!" "Then why do you keep asking what is your name?" "To find out your name!" "But you already know it!" "What?" "See, and you know mine!" "Of course not!" "Exactly!" NOW THEY ARE AT A POINT WHERE BOTH THINK THE OTHER KNOWS HIS NAME, BUT THEY THEMSELVES DON'T KNOW THE OTHER'S NAME. "Listen, listen, wait; if I asked you what your name is, what will be your answer?" "Watt's my name." "No, no, give me only one word." "Watt" "Your name!" "Right!" [pause before it hits him] "Oh, Wright!" "Yeah!" "So why didn't you say it before?" "I told you so many times!" "You never said Wright before" "Of course I did." "Ok I won't argue any more. Do you know my name?" "I do not." "Well, there you go, now we know each other's name." "I do not!" "Good!" [pause before it hits him] "Oh, Guud!" "Good." "No wonder, it took me so long, is that Dutch?" "No, it's Knott!" "Oh, okay. At least the names are clear now Guud." "Yes Wright." NOW THEY BOTH THINK THEY KNOW EACH OTHER'S NAME AS WELL! Watt do you think?? Do they or do they Knott??? Have A Nice Day ! Macasalamah
  19. Harvard-Mafia thanks walaal for the reply. What you said is correct, and I am also considering going to other schools out of states, first choice being the San farancisco Un. of course, and I was also consdiering the U of M. I heard it is pharmacy program is good. Can you get me more info about the U of M. I mean I looked at the their prerequisites and it is almost like mine, but what I want to know is the out of state students, do they get scholarship or something or they have to pay out of state tuition? thanks alot. hope to hear your answer soon. Salaam.
  20. lol@ you guys, you guys wanna dictate your mind now huh? Too bad, the mind is under control now...and like I said, there is nothing you can do to change it lol.
  21. This is soooo silly but true... and it's going to drive you crazy ! While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand, starting from the top of the 6. Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it
  22. OH my gosh garab tuujiye you're so funny man, where in the world did you learn to speak somali like that, you remind me of aw-kombe lol.
  23. Hey guys thanks for asnwering to me finally lol. Bisharo, most of the people that apply to pharmacy schools did their BS already, but that doesn't mean that you will automatically get into pharmacy school. Most of the things that pharmacy school look at is your GPA and if you have experience in the field. But it is always good to have your BS plus good GPA. Also some schools require that you did good on your PCAT. University of California, San Farancisco is the best phamracy school in the whole united states, and ironically they don't require PCAT which is a plus for me, cuz heck that test is really crazy cuz you have 50sec to answer each question lol. Jalaato, thanks hon. I be waiting, and plus you can tell him about this website it has all the pharmacy schools in the us plus what classes they require you to take, etc. It is www.pharmcas.org Well anybody else doing pharmacy? lol. Salaam

    Question

the ideal thing would be that qabiil shouldn't matter, but unfortunately it does for so many somalis, but i think that it shouldn't because what if this person is everything you ever wanted in a mate, should you leave her or him because he/she is not the qabiil you desired? If anybody ever did that I would consider them to be very shallow. that is just my openion. and the second question is that love does matter to me, alot, and I mean really matters to me.
  25. So no one in here doing pharmacy? do I take that as NO? c'mon...there must be some nomands that are doing pharmacy...me thinks, lol...but let me know if you're anyway.
