  1. Assalamu alaikum

I wanted to correct a mistake I made. The lecture on dec 25 in toronto. It's actually in Kennedy and eglinton. If you want more info, let me know!!!

  2. I have got an, e-mail about ten minutes ago and here is what it said . . .

The new movie, makes fun of ALLAH.

The new "Matrix Reloaded" has gone to the extreme

to make a mockery against Muslims. The writers

and producers have decided to name one of their

characters "Allah" and are played by "Stewart

Wells." This is both offensive and rude as

Muslims turn to the worship of Allah five times a

day, and calling it a fictional character shows

disrespect to Islam and Muslims as a whole. In

direct condemnation of this, Muslims are strongly

urged to NOT watch this film by any shape or form

and to condemn it openly if that's the least we

    can do.

  4. I wonder at the man who knows that he is to die and indulges in laughter.

I wonder at the man who knows that this world will come to an end one day, but hankers after it.

I wonder that a man who knows that everything is predestines should lament the loss of anything.

I wonder that a man who believes in the reckoning in the Hereafter should amass wealth.

I wonder that a man who has the knowledge of the fire of the Hell should commit any sin.

I wonder that a man who believes in Almightly Allah should remember anybody other than Him.

I wonder that a man who believes im Paradise should feel pleasure in anything of this world.

  5. SALAM HUMBLE BROTHER

I agree with you 100%. It's not right being good for only one month. It just looks dumb. Eid shouldn't be an eid jam (its xaram). It's best celebrating eid with your close friends and family by eating together and being thankful. Think about it my brother and sisters, life is short. This world aint nothing. Try to be a good muslim as best as you can. Assalamu Alaikum

  6. My Beloved

There was a time in my youth,

When Islam was only a custom.

They said, "Say La Ilaha Illallah,....

And pray, you'll go to Heaven."

Ah, how simple, no struggle in this,

Just a word, and simple act.

Thereafter I'm absorbed in this world again,

With my 'assured' place in Paradise intact.

But this was not to be my fate

For Allah chose to guide my heart.

I learnt of a man who struggled so hard

When his mission was from the start.

The story of someone who had morals,

    Spoke gently, kindness he knew.

Never fearing to say what's right,

His conviction in ISLAM was true.

The touch of his hand was as soft as silk

    To comfort a crying child.

To mend his clothes or do the chores,

    Never complaining, he always smiled.

A living he made with his bare hands,

The same that held his mighty sword.

Valor shone from the edge of his blade.

His smell was always of musk,

And cleanliness he kept at his best.

Stark contrast with the heroes of today,

Who stink of beer and sweat.

He held the hands of his companions.

Unashamed to play with many children.

So modest, so humble, a perfect example,

That strangers could not recognize him.

His eyes slept little for nights that were precious,

His prayers he treasured much greater.

To pray Tahajjud in the depths of night,

Seeking forgiveness, and nearness to his Creator.

He broke his tooth for me at Uhud,

And bled for me at Ta'if.

He cried for me, tears of concern,

Just so I could have this belief

    His enemies admired his teachings,

    Uniting every religion, every clan.

Till ISLAM came to every corner of the world,

O, but indeed he was only a man

To own a house or build his wealth,

    Was not his main priority.

To establish ISLAM was more essential,

To bring us under a Higher Authority.

Don't you want him to plea for your case,

    When before Allah-The-Judge, you stand?

Don't you wish to be around his fountain,

A burning desire to drink from his hand?

  7. WHAT WILL THE DATE BE?

    What will the date be?

    Praised be He,

    who knows the future

    Lord of The worlds,

    Creator of every creature

Did you sit down and think

    About the moment when

your eyes will cease to blink

yes, I am Talking to you

    sit down and do

    and do not pretend

That it won't Happen to you

    What will the date be?

    What will be the time?

    And Most important...

am I the next on line?

    Oh no you think...

    not Me....

and even if it was... you say

    it won't be today....

It will be At a time

    so far away...

    like a hundred years

    or maybe even more

    When Angel Izrael

will be knocking at my door

    and the problem Is.

    you know that you know....

    That when death comes...

it will Come like a blow

    I just can't believe

    maybe can't conceive

that God knows the very second

when my soul will come out of my body

And the news will shock everybody

So am I ready for the test?

    The Most important final test?

    But how can I pass

when I knew all the While

    that when I didn't prepare

    for a test in school

    I got a letter in

    My mail

    a lousy F

    for Fail

    Exactly what I was expecting

    WHAT AM I EXPECTING??????!!!!

    Don't take God for granted

    Yes, He is Merciful

    His Punishment is also

    Painful

  8. I sit here all alone and my eyes are flooded with tears

Who is there for me, to express my heart’s fears?

I sit here and wait, for soon, that day will come

When I shall have to answer for everything I have done

I sit here and I wonder what will happen on that day

When our limbs will speak and our tongue will have no say?

I sit here by my self where no body can see me cry

What will I say on that day when one cannot lie?

I sit here and think of my sins that I have committed

And hope that on that day, that they will be omitted

I sit here and my heart feels broken in two

I hope, that on that day, my fears will not be true

I sit here, where Allah sees me from above high

I turn towards Allah, asking for forgiveness, and drawing a sigh!

I sit here whilst my tears flowing...

Hoping to gain some love from the One who is feared

I sit here, shivering and hoping that on that day

RasulAllah (saw) will not turn his blessed face away

I sit here; I ask, plead and beg ‘Ya Allah!

Make me not from those upon you have sent your wrath’

I sit here, close my eyes and listen to the Qur’aan

‘Ya Allah, when I return to You, let it be with Imaan’

I sit here and whilst wiping my tears away

I ask from Allah one thing, ‘Don’t let me go astray!’

  10. Woman was made from the rib of man,

She was not created from his head to top him,

Nor form his feet to be stepped upon,

She was made from his side to be close to him,

From beneath his arm to be protected by him,

Near his heart to be loved by him.

  11. A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5 year old son waiting for him at the door.

"Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

"Yeah, sure, what is it?" replied the man.

"Daddy, how much money do you make an hour?"

"That's none of your business! What makes you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.

"I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" pleaded the little boy.

"If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour."

"Oh, " the little boy replied, head bowed. Looking up, he said, "Daddy, may I borrow $10.00 please?"

The father was furious. "If the only reason you want to know how much money I make is just so you can borrow some to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you're being so selfish. I work long, hard hours everyday and don't have time for such childish games."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even madder about the little boy's questioning. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money. After an hour or so , the man had calmed down, and started to think he may have been a little hard on his son. May be there was something he really needed to buy with that $10.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. "Are you asleep son?" he asked.

"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man. "It's been a long day and I took my aggravation out on you. Here's that $10.00 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, beaming. "Oh, thank you daddy!" he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow, he pulled out some more crumpled up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at the man.

"Why did you want more money if you already had some?" the father grumbled.

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied. "Daddy, I have $20.00 now... Can I buy an hour of your time?"

  12.

1- Avoid Things that Allah has forbidden, including the great sins as well as continually performing the lesser sins, and perform what Allah orders us to perform: The prophet peace be upon him said: "Allah has recorded the good deeds and the evil deeds. Then he made them clear: He who has intended a good deed and does not do it, Allah writes it down with Him as a performed good deed; but if he intends it and does perform it; Allah records for him from ten good deeds to seven hundred times that or more than that. If he intends to do an evil deed and does not do it, then Allah writes it down as a good deed; but if he intends an evil deed and performs it, Allah records it as one evil deed" (Sahih Al-Jami)

2- Reciting the Quran and pondering over it's meanings: The Prophet peace be upon him said, "Whoever recites one word from the Book of Allah will be rewarded for a good deed and ten more like it; and I don't say that Alif Lam Mim is a word but Alif is a word and Lam is a word and Mim is a word" (Alif Lam Mim is 3 Arabic Characters.)

3- Guiding people to righteous deeds: The prophet peace be upon him said, "Whoever guides one to a good thing will get the same reward as the person who performs the deed" (Sahih Al-Jami)

4- Enjoining good and eradicating evil: Allah revealed in the Quran, {Those of the children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress. They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily, evil was that they used to do} (Al-Maida:78)

This is one of the obligatory duties that many people fail to perform today. Due to this reason, sins are being committed openly and without shame and no one is saying anything about them. The prophet peace be upon him said, "If the people see an evil deed and they do not change it, then Allah may inflict them all with a punishment".

Allah says in the Quran: "And the believers, men and women, are protecting friends of one another, they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong .. "

5- Supplications to Allah: It's the best act of worship as the Prophet peace be upon him said, "The most virtuous act of worship is supplication" (Sahih Al-Jami). It's very important to be certain that Allah will answer your supplication, the Prophet peace be upon him said: "There is no Muslim on this earth who supplicates to Allah except that Allah will give him what he asked or He will remove some evil from him, as long as he does not supplicate for something evil or as long as he does not supplicate for cutting of the ties of kinship and as long as he does not become impatient and say, 'I supplicated and supplicated and I was not responded to'"

6- Marrying religious women: The prophet peace be upon him said, "A woman is married for her religion, wealth or beauty; marry the religious women and you will prosper". He also said, "A thankful heart, a tongue that remembers Allah and a pious wife that helps you in your worldly and religious matters, is better than what the people are amassing" (Sahih Al-Jami)

7- Bringing up pious children and training them to have good Islamic character: The prophet peace be upon him said, "A man will be raised some degrees in Paradise and he will say, 'For what reason am I receiving this ?' He will be told, 'Because of your son asking forgiveness for you'"

8- Having good manners and character: The prophet peace be upon him said, "The most beloved of you to me and the closest of you to me in the Hereafter are those of you who have the best manners; the most hated of you to me and farthest from me in the Hereafter are those of you who have the best manners, those who speak and do not even care about what they are saying" (Sahih Al-Jami), and he also said, "The person of good manners will get the same reward as the person who prays during the night and fasts during the day" (Sahih Al-Jami).

9- Performing many voluntary prayers: This is particularly beneficial during the last third of the night in which the gates of the heavens are opened and the supplications are responded to. The prophet peace be upon him said, "Allah waits until one half or two-thirds of the night has passed and He says, 'My slaves, shall ask from no one except Me. Whoever asks from Me, I shall respond to him. Whoever asks Me for something, I will give it to him. Whoever asks for my forgiveness, I shall forgive him. And this continues until the dawn" (Sahih Al-Jami).

Similarly, performing the Sunnan prayers, is also a way of gaining Allah's pleasure and reward. These Sunnan prayers are two rakats before the dawn obligatory prayer, four before the noon obligatory prayer and four after it, two after the sunset prayer and two after the night prayer and the witr prayer.

10- Being obedient and respectful to one's parents: This is one of the greatest ways to attain Allah's pleasure and reward. Allah mentions worshipping Him together with obeying one's parents. Allah says in the Quran, "Your Lord has decreed that you worship none save Him, and that you show kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them attain to old age with you, say not 'File' unto them nor repulse them, but speak unto them a gracious word. And lower unto them the wing of submission through mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy on them both as they did care for me when I was little'" (Al-Isra)

11- Jihad in the way of Allah: A hadith of the Prophet peace be upon him says, "Being on guard in the way of Allah for one month is better than perpetual fasting for a year. Whoever dies while guarding in the way of Allah will be safe from the great frightening. And he will be provided his provisions, and smell the scent from paradise, and receive the reward of the one who guards until Allah resurrects him" (Sahih Al-Jami)

12- Remembering Allah at all times: The prophet peace be upon him stated that Allah said, "I am as My slave thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself. I make mention of him to Myself and if me makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it." (Al-Bukhari).

13- Speaking the truth and not fearing punishment of anyone: The prophet peace be upon him, "The leader of the martyrs is Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib and a person who faces an unjust ruler and advises him to do good and he is killed because of his speech" (Sahih Al-Jami)

14- Giving charity and spending in the way of Allah: Allah says in the Quran, "Those who spend their wealth by night and day, privately and publicity, verily their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve" (Al-Baqara 274). And Allah also says, "And spend of that which We have provided you before death comes to one of you and he says, 'My Lord if only You would reprieve me for a little while, then I would give alms and be among the righteous.' But Allah reprieves no soul when its term comes, and Allah is aware of what you do" (Al-Munafiqoon).

15- Learning the beneficial knowledge: One should learn that knowledge that will benefit him in the Hereafter and act by it in order to be a good example for others. The authentic knowledge is the one that is based on Quran and Sunnah.

  13. There are many ways to say it

But only one way is deeply true

You can say it over the phone,

    In letters,

    Even in person...

But saying it that way will never matter

Only if you say it, from your heart.

    When you truly love someone,

You say it from the heart.

You tell them all the time,

    Every hour,

    Minute,

    Second...

You call them just to say it,

    But....

    When you say it...

    Mean with all your heart...

    When you say,

    I Love You...

    Say it,

    Mean it,

    Do it...

  14. The drum of heartbeats,

People rush and gather in crowds,

Like an overcrowded forest of trees,

Crawling out of graves in droves,

    Naked,

    Some raised blind,

    All gather in one place.

    Looking very worried,

    The look of terror,

The awesome fear of Allah the Most Sublime,

    The accounting of deeds,

    Punishment or bliss to follow,

    Justice for all,

    By the Almighty Creator,

Like the tunnel of birth and death...

    There is no escape.

    From the Day of Resurrection...

    There is no escape.

  15.

All praises are for you Allah, how I hope that you are there.

For sinful though I know I am, your displeasure I can not bear.

Never, till this moment, did I realize how much I've strayed.

Never, till now, was I more conscious of all those times when I should have prayed.

For sins are like heavy baggage, that one carries through Life, the airport.

Why didn't I realize sooner, that Earth is but a place of sport ?

Ya Allah ! Forgive me. Save me from the fire of Hell.

Forgive me as you did my parents, from Jannah though they fell.

Ya Allah ! Protect me. From myself for my soul is weak.

Let me not falter ever, for Jannah is the abode I seek.

Ya, Allah! Please help me. For I don't understand and thus, I fear.

What happened to all those moments when I never doubted that you were near ?

My actions once were guided, by my faith which, once, was strong.

Ya Allah! please guide me. What happened, what went wrong ?

Each footstep that I used to take, I took with you ever near my side.

The Quran was my faithful companion, Rasulullah my beloved guide.

How I yearn for those bygone days Allah, for I know that the day comes near,

When we'll each receive our just rewards, and Truth will stand sparkling clear.

Life is like a spider's web Allah. We get caught in its tricky snare

So thoroughly are we disillusioned, time for salat we can not spare.

I sit here and I wonder, Ya Allah! Why did I fall so low?

What happened to my faith Allah? Where did my Iman go?

In this earthly life of ours, so often does sin seem right.

Falsehood seems to be the truth, as if days are confused with night.

Man is an imperfect creature. And thus, Man shall always wrong.

For the road to Jan'ah is rocky, and the journey seems awfully long.

Ya Allah ! Our creator, we are all just peices of clay.

Please help us with our steps in life, and let us not lose our way.

All praises are for you Allah, I know that you are near.

I know that you have read my heart, and my words I know you hear.

    Insha'Allah, Ameen

  16. A man came to Iyas Ibn Mu'awiyah, a Muslim judge famous for his wisdom and the following conversation took place between them:

Man: What is the Islamic ruling regarding wine?

    Judge: It is Haram (Forbidden).

    Man: How about water?

    Judge: It is Halal (Permissible).

Man: How about dates and grapes?

    Judge: They are Halal.

Man: Why is it that all these ingredients are halal, and yet when you combine them, they become haram?

The judge looked at the man and said: If I hit you with this handful of dirt, do you think it would hurt you?

    Man: It would not.

Judge: How about if I hit you with this handful of straw?

Man: It would not hurt me.

Judge: How about a handful of water?

Man: It surely would not hurt me.

Judge: How about if I MIX them, and let them DRY to become a BRICK, and then hit you with it, would it hurt you?

Man: It would hurt me and might even kill me!

Judge: The same reasoning applies to what you asked me!!

  17. Sports Car vs. Quraan - a nice story

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man waited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Quran. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said "With all your money you give me a Quran?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.

Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Quran, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Quran and began to turn the pages.

As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Quran. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss ALLAH blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?
