  1. This is the story that must be told

Of a Muslim baby, not very old

Lying in her crib on a star-lit night

How could she know of those planes in flight?

She lies there quietly touching her nose

Watching her mobile, wiggling her toes

Oohing and cooing, so sweetly is she

Talking to someone, who could it be?

An angel is standing with her in the room.

The baby is smiling, unaware of her doom.

The crib starts to shake and the mobile goes round

Then suddenly comes the most deafening sound

The ceiling drops in, in a second or two...

On her crib so she ceases to coo...

No one knows how long she lies there

Who thought about it? Doesn't anyone care?

Is she alive? Is she dead? Is she in pain?

Now that you mention it, who knows her name?

Her name is Amel, in English we say Hope

Crushed between the rubble, her tiny fingers start to grope!

Where is my Mommy? I love her so dear.

Come get me Mommy! It's dark in here!

I'm scared and hungry and I can't see my feet,

There's blood in my mouth! Give me something to eat!

Where is Daddy? Where's my big brother?

It hurts when I breathe! Where is my mother?

How long have I been here? Is this just a dream?

I open my mouth, but I can't even scream!

They appear again by my side.

This time with a tear I plead...Why have I died?

Am I alone in my suffering? NO, there are many others.

In our grief and misery, we are all sisters and brothers.

Who are we, I ask you.. for what crime did we die?

    They're throwing a party! Doesn't anyone cry?

Is it true? Am I nothing?! How could it be?

Don't they also have babies, just like me?

It is war they say, of which death is a part.

How blind they've become, how hardened of heart.

Did someone say hero? To whom they speak?

A VICTORY CLAIMED FOR KILLING THE WEAK?!

Why are they happy? Why are they proud?

Don't they know that I'm cold in my burial shroud?!

No war has been won; no ifs, buts or maybes,

    They've only killed babies..

  2. I never wanted this day to come so fast

I wont know if I will last

The world waits with bated breath

For the next onslaught of senseless deaths

    Retaliation on the greatest scale

We plead for peace, we cannot fail

The fleet is there, the jets are ready

USA stands firm, strong and steady

But what will this prove when all's said and done

Who truly is the victor, who has really won?

Is it the innocent people whom we already mourn?

The helpless baby, yet to be born?

We know that terrorism has no place

We want it to stop, right from its base

Is violence the answer, is it ever so?

It creates more hatred, and angers the foe

So they will fight back and then back it will be

More death and destruction is all we will see.

I want a better world, one where we can all feel free

What a wonderful world that would be!

A world that would not have world war 3

Were you can sit peacefully under a tree

  3. Bahz Bin Hakim related that the Prophet Peace be upon him said: Verily anger destroys IMAN as aloe spoils honey.

Atiyaah bin Urwah as-Sadi reported that the Prophet peace be upon him said: Verily, anger comes from Satan. Since Satan was created from fire, and verily fire is extinguished by water, one who becomes angry should make ablution.

  4. SubhanAllah...

Look at cows. Allah Ta'alah as created them as herbivores (they only eat plants and stuff) and look at how their teeth are shaped? All of them are flat and straight... even if the cow is hungry, it won't eat meat... even if scientists forcefully fed a cow meat... it might be impossible for it to digest it.

Now look at a lion, which is a carnivore... all his teeth are sharp and pointy. Even if a lion is hungry, he wouldn't eat the grass... he can't digest it.

Alright, now look at the human beings... Allah Ta'alh has designed our teeth in such a way that we have flat teeth and sharp ones... hence our bodies were made to eat meat and plants...

SubhanAllah! Look at the creation and beautiful design of Allah!

  5. Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) has said that there are balconies in Jannah (which appear to be built of glass): everything in them can be seen from outside and the outer scene is clearly visible from inside. The Sahabah (ra) asked as to who will occupy them. Rosulullah SAW said, "Those who speak nicely to people, who feed others while they themselves continuously fast and offer Tahajjud Salat at night when others are asleep."

    (Tirmizi)

  6. Easy way to change ourselves

There was a king long time ago and he had a vast kingdom. Though he had tremendous amount of wealth, but he didn't have peace of heart. So he decided to be a good Muslim. He heard that there is a very pious man who stays in a jungle and that many people go to visit him for advice. The king decided to visit him for some advice also. When he got there, he asked the pious man "How can I become pious like you?" The pious man replied that remember death 40 times a day for 40 days. The king thought that it was very easy and he thanked him and left for his palace. He remembered death 40 times a day for 40 days but no change came to his life. He was same as before.

The king became angry and called that pious man to his court. The king told him that he is nothing but a liar and that he should be killed before he fools other people. It was decided that he will be beheaded the next day. But the Pious man had a request. He asked if he could become the king for a day. He promised that after getting the command, he will not kill the previous king or do any harm to him. So, the king agreed and made the pious man the king for a day. As soon as the pious man became the king, he went to the market and saw a man selling peanuts. He told the soldiers to catch that man and bring him to the palace. So, the peanut sales man was brought to the court. The pious man told the peanut sales man that he will be killed tomorrow. The peanut sales man became frightened and dropped all his peanuts. He started crying and asked what he did. But the pious man said that he will be killed tomorrow and locked up in jail for today.

Now, as the peanut sales man knew that he is going to die, he forgot about everything else and started asking forgiveness from Allah. He started praying and doing excessive dhikir (remembrance of Allah). The Pious man ordered that the most beautiful prostitute in the city should be brought and placed in the jail with peanut sales man. She was brought and she asked the man to commit adultery with her. Now the pious man brought the previous king and told him to watch. The peanut sales man started yelling at the woman to get away because he is going to die tomorrow and this evil deed will surely cause him problems with Allah.

Then the pious man asked the previous king if he understood what is going on. The Pious man explained that when you really know that you will die, then you will surely stay away from all evil deeds and engage yourself into the worship of Allah. So, remembering death once properly would be enough to change the life of a human being.

Ofcourse, the peanut sales man was released afterwards.

  7. Busy or Not

A brother was asked to give advice to some people in a gathering. He said the following things about being punctual in offering Salah (prayer). He asked us if any day passed by when we were so busy with work that we couldn't attend the call of nature (urinate, excrete etc). All of us replied to the negative because we all had to relieve ourselves no matter how busy we were. So, he said that in the same manner, no day should pass by where we couldn't offer salah because of being busy. Indeed, salah is more necessary for us than relieving ourselves. May Allah give all of us the ability to offer salah in all conditions. Ameen.

  8. (I GOT THIS STORY FROM A BROTHER WHOW WAS AT A LECTURE)

On Saturday evening, i went to this Islmic Fndrasing for the Horn Of Africa...basically we were gathering money to help our fellow bothers and sisters who are dying and suffering because of starvation.Well anyways , an Imam from toronto came and gave us a lecture, and withing the lecture he told us a story about Giving in charity!!

    k here`s the story

-ONe evening this Sister(Woman) is eating chicken with her husband at supper time, as they were eating, the heard a knock on the door...KNOCK KNOCK....SO the sister is asked to open the door, as she opens she sees this skinny begger, just asking for something to eat,BUT! the husband kicked him out shouting GET OUT' GET YOUR OWN FOOD ect....but still the sister snuck some food and gave it to the begger,

so as the months and years passed by the husband`s life became worst by the day, he sadly divorced his wife and his whole life changed

now for the sister, she remarried to another brother(Man)...So again, one evening the sister and her second husband were eating chicken at their supper time, and they here a knock on the door KNOCK KNOCK....and the sister opens the door. And again she sees a begger, but this time the second husband greets him and give him every single food the begger could carry!! after the begger left, the sister(wife) comes back to her second husband and starts crying really bad, and the second husband asks ``Why are you crying, maybe because we gave every food we had`??`` and the sister replies ``-NO, this beggar was my first husband`` and the second replies afterwards ``-And I was your 1st beggar``

So u see brothers and sisters, Allah turned the whole table around, first it was the 2nd husband that was the beggar at the beginning, but since the 1sdt husband kicked him out, he payed for it, and ended up being a beggar himself, so watch out what you do in this life, and share your wealth!!!!

  10. Jabir Radiallhu 'anhu narrates: Rosulullah SAW said: Out of you (my Ummah) the most beloved and nearest to me, on the Day of Resurrection, will be those with the most excellent character. (Tirmidhi)

Rosulullah SAW said: The believers are very obedient (to Allah), gentle, and kind like an obedient camel which when led follows and when made to sit, even though on rock, does so obediently. (Tirmidhi)

Note: Although it is very uncomfortable to sit on rocks, but in obedience to his master, a camel will sit on them, despite the discomfort.

    Subhanallah!

May Allah SWT give us the Toufiq to be as such. Ameen.

  11. Call Our Masjid "MASJID"! NOT "Mosque"!!!

Allah used the word "MASJID" in Quraan. [Al_Quraan_002.187, 022.40]

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The term "Mosque" is derived from the Spanish word for "Mosquito".

It was termed as such because during the Crusades, King Ferdinand said they were going to go and swat the Muslims "like mosquitoes". (Where else can they find Muslims in large number to be swatted if not in a Masjid?). So, they cheekily termed "Masjid" as "Mosque".

So dear Muslim brothers and sisters, refrain from using this term, which is obviously a disgusting slap in the face to the Ummah. Educate our brothers and sisters to the history and etymology of this word. And let us replace it with the word, which is MEANT to be used.

  12. Assalamu alaikum

I do agree with you BUT.. you don't know if there doing it for style. What if they just started to wear the hijab. You know it takes time for a person to change (You can't wear tight clothing than the next day your religious). Maybe it starts with wearing the hijab, than wearing loose clothing. You know what, when I started to wear the hijab, it was hard at first, it takes steps. Than its part of your daily life. So if you see a person wearing tight clothing and a hijab..don't just assume she's doing it for fashion. Ask the person why she's doing that in a polite manner, than you can decide if the person is doing it for fashion. PLUS, ONLY ALLAH CAN JUDGE A PERSON.

  13. When You Look At Me

    When you look at me,

    What do you see?

    Someone restricted within her beliefs?

Cannot think or gain freedom like everyone else?

    When you look at me,

    What do you see?

    Someone illiterate, backward and boring?

    Well, I beg to differ,

    That is not me,

The true me holds my belief with dignity,

    The true me respects myself,

Enough not to expose it to the pleasures of the world.

You see, I know my worth is much more than the worldly temptations,

The true me doesn’t have to boast about the knowledge I hold

    In order to use it.

To the world I may be boring and backwards,

But to me I am fulfilling my Islamic duties

  14. TO TIE DA KNOT

To tie the knot is Sunnah

    Where Muslims follow Rasulallah

Muslims tie the knot for reasons

    But not for any treasons

    Some people marry for love

But some people marry to serve

some people marry to have kids

some people marry to make ends meet

But all those are not so right

For couples can quarrel and fight

And then you realise your mistake

You should marry for Allah's Sake

There is no "love" before marriage

    It's only infatuation and lust

    Love before marriage is haram

    To protect yourself, please fast

    Love before marriage

    comes from the Shaytan

    Who wants to trap mankind

And cause broken hearts and mind

    Love comes after marriage means

That it is pure and clean

It is the way of Islam

    to provide chastity

    Love after marriage

    looks not at physical appearance

Or even one's status and what he earns

    But the love there is

    is pure from Allah's Guidance

    You only tie the knot

only if love of Allah comes first

And your love will be pure

    And will be everlasting

    Don't make any more mistake

Only marry for Allah's Sake smile.gif
