These were men from the same era, with similar life experiences, ambition and ruthlessness. It may be hard to imaging how things would have evolved in the country without these men at the helm, but the trio above certainly made its mark.

Epic picture that captures a part of our history and in a general sense post colonial "African" politics", notice how all men were part of the small elitist clique of the early somali military establishment, meaning in a sense that concepts like "strength" and "development" and of course without a doubt "ambition" were only with those with a military rank.

 

 

I think that this part of our history can be applied to other african nations.

Each of these men left a completely different and distinct legacy. What do we have there? A military dictator (There were many others in Africa in the 70s and 80s), A transitional president (We had few of them in Somalia alone) then a bloodthirsty, genocidal general-turned warlord.
