I'm pretty sure he serves the same function as Queen Elizabeth of the U.K.

 

But to be fair, I think most Somalis would prefer a King who has a vested interest in seeing Somalia become stable, rather than seeing the endless cycle of corrupt politicians in Mogadishu.
