Hargeisa And Mogadishu. Simmering Relationship Politically Spilling Onto SOL

Recommended Posts

Dr_Osman

Whats happened with mogadishu and hargeisa relationship, it seems to be going downhill since the explosion of faysal ali waraabe on somali channel on hamar and his other outbursts about the ppl of that city being treated like gaal. Siilanyo also has been showing anomoysity withdrawing somaliland health officials from a european conference on Somalia and banning u.n flights in somaliland. This simmering tensions is clearly spilling onto SOL with all these rape and violent threads being thrown at each other.

Can the mog and hargaysa communities come and explain what the hell is happening? We all know about the waagacusub beef but this is now beyond that and this look like it hidden political beef that is occuring between the two cities and peoples.

Its not about trolling, but its obvious theyre is simmering tensions and that is putting it lightly. Has this stemmed from recent political development between the two cities which has resulted in slanging matches being held on TV and on SOL

Dr Osman can you tell me when Mogadishu and hargeysa actually agreed on something there is a common understanding between the 2 sides, but they still haven't agreed on their future relationship other than that the relationship is just a beginning we will know more next month. When the dialogue beween the 2 countries restart.

Much ado about nothing! Completely driven by local politics in both North and South.

Hassan Sheikh needed to make certain provocative statements regarding the former Somali Republic's territorial integrity in order to mollify a significant opposition in his parliament tabling a destabilizing 'no-confidence' vote on his PM.

Hargeisa jealously overreacts to every encroachment on its sovereignty to protect Siilaanyo's administration from the Somaliland 'right' - (which regularly accuses the administration of being soft on the connected issues of sovereignty and relations with the South).

But the attempt to fan the 'potential' discord between the two communities is noted ;)
