Somaliland: Thousands Demonstrate in Support of Sovereignty

BRUSSELS (Somalilandsun) - The Parc du Cinquantenaire, Avenue de la Joyeuse entrée, 1040 Brussels is

currently home to thousands of Somalilanders from various European countries.

The diaspora Somalilanders have inundated the European Union-EU headquarters in Brussels where they are

demonstrating in support of their motherland's case for international recognition

The rally organized by the Somaliland Societies in Europe and its member organisations, is a reminder

to the International Community about Somaliland's resolute aspiration for international recognition.

This time it is the Brussels headquarters of the EU. The message is clear we want nothing to do

with the circus that is Animalia (Somalia).

^^The message has always been clear: we, the three mother clan of the north, want nothing to do with Somalia. The counter message, however, has also been clearer: we the darwish, makhir, and awdal clans of the north remain loyal to Somalia's terrotirial integrity and want nothing to do with separatist clans

 

That you are a bit more excitable than the rest of northern clans does not mean your cause has more support base.

The people of Awdal are content with Somaliland, a far away lesser pirate can't speak for them. As for the other two

If they are dissatisfied they should welcome a referendum where it all can be decided.

^^Only if you know in the state and federal congressional offices in at least where I live, it is the awdal unionists that are the most vocal against separation.

Those are dissatisfied unemployed coffee shop losers. The real elites of Awdal region who are

present in back home support Somaliland fully. Awdal doesn't even share a border with a pro Somalia

region, so they know where their interest lies.

Those are like Proffesor Samatar who recently saw the light who haven't went back to their hometowns for decades,

they are detached from the reality.

Actually Saalax, professor Samatar does not actively campaign against separatist movement---somehow he is confident that they will not get far with the bid for independence. Awdal has a large community here , and they are very active in their opposition. Those who were active supporters of Kulmiye in the last election are now leading the campaign against secession. Another recent development is the anti separation norther clans have been teaming up lately. I attended one of their unionist dinner last Saturday, and the venue was full with people who seemed confident in their cause.

 

As I said, your message of dismembering Somalia has a more powerful counter message that is making ground in where it matters.

What matters is the reality on the ground back home not the people who debate in the coffee shops of Minnesota or

hold meetings in random hotels speaking about unity.Opportunistic Losers like Cali Galaydh can't even visit

their hometown, it doesn't matter how educated they are or how much they scream through the coffee shops

of Minnesota, Somaliland is the authority of the land and that is what matters for outsiders and Alasow.
