Demonstrations in Borama as reer Borama demand the Seylac Mayorship

Recommended Posts

The djibouti clan needs someone to slap the b!tch out of them,, greedy ba$tards!

how dare they make all this trouble and cry to Silaanyo when they lost? can they not handle losing? Borame clan won 10 out of 17 seats in

Saylac which makes them the righteous ones for Mayor and deputy mayor positions.

for 21 years the djibouti clan was mayor of Saylac and governonr of Salel no one said nothing to them, today when they lost they b!tch

about it !!

Borama clan got more votes in Both Lughaya and Saylac so they have the right to take everything.

The problem is djibouti clan got the back up of Ismacii Cumar geele who told Silaanyo to give his clan Saylac or else he will be sorry.. IOG

has huge influence in SL remember last year when he called the Somaliland cause a case of "putting the cart before the horse" ? Somalilanders couldn't say anything about it. there are also important ministers in djibouti from the Hargaysa clan so if IOG dont get Saylac he will fire those ministers. on the other hand if Silanyo attempts to take Saylac from Borama clan the ppl of Awdal will not allow that to happen and those demonstrations are only the start.

Xukuumaddu waa inay gacan bir ah ku qabataa dadka xasaradda wada ama hargeysa ha joogaan ama boorama ama Laascaanood

The government of Somaliland is not a Stalinist regime. It is a government elected by the people and for the people and is guided by the constitution, at least in theory.

And the sad part is the vast majority of MPs that came out of seylac and lughaye were Kulmiye ,while the Kulmiye government is pushing further away its party supporters very strange.

If that was the only consequence of defying the Djibouti dictator and I wish it was, Silaayo would gladly show him the middle finger. But the biggest challenge for the government of Somaliland is not to alienate the Jesus clan in Somaliland and turn them into rebels. We don’t want another Khaatumo in the west of our country.

^^ Thats not a problem in 1993 they tried troubles in Seylac president Cigaal silenced them , in 1999 the relations between Somaliland and Djibouti were so bad that they almost went to war. But cigaal had balls he could care less about what any one thinks of his Somaliland., Ismaciil cumar geele firing his ministers and ambassadors from the non jesus clan is just absurd. The government of Somaliland should accept democracy the people of Seylac elected a mayor and deputy mayor and that's fine.

Awdal folks are slacking really, saxiibayaal in africa only an AK 47 gets you respect. They are deluded if they think they would be treated as anything but second class people in their land, that goes for the undecided khaatumo folks too. The SNM clan has deep divisons within itself. The whole phantom project will implode its just a matter of when.

its turning ugly not because of clan but because people are dissatisfied and that happens a boy died in hargeysa to 2 week ago are hargeysa residents also second class citizens there is no difference between Somalilanders. We only have dissatisfied citizens who are supposed to the policies of their government.

It is unacceptable for the government to interfere and abstract the democratic process. The majority won in this election and their rights should be respected. President Silaanyo should tell the Djibouti tyrant not to interfere in our internal affairs.

Ambasador is correct, the West hargeisa community is manipulating the issue. they promised Geele a Zaylac region

so he could have influence Somaliland. Also you have 8 members of Somali parliament from Jesus community in

mogadhishu because of Arta conference held in 2000. We have 9, can you imagine the are large communities in

Somalia with big population who do not even have 4 members. the main issue is if people see that don't even

control one city their parliamentary seats could be in danger. Also last year 18 million dollars stolen from the

djibouti bank was invested in a Coca- Cola factory in hargeisa., so the Sacad muuse guys must repay this by

promising some pay back. the problem is you cannot bribe people with other peoples future.

Some people say we complain a lot . yes thier have been huge build up especially in Djibouti. In 1949 to 1956 the

mayor of Djibouti was from Borama community. In 1884 we signed the Anglo-gedabuursi treaty. we also signed ,

the French -Somali treaty in djibouti. our biggest misfortune was we campaigned for the independence of

French-Somaliland. 1958 they formed a movement to expel the french, with Mohamuud Harbi., he was killed in

plane crash by the french.every body thought that in 1960 Djibouti will be free and join Somaliweyn. the Borama

community was identified with this movement and crashed, deported and jailed. in 1967 French president De Guole

came djibouti and was belted by Molotov cocktails and belted with stones by the independent movement. After he saw

what was going on he proposed a referendum 1968. The french knew that a free referendum will clearly shaw the will

of the , so he devised a plan which will defeat the vote and undermine the so called Somali unity.

he produced new citizenship cards that will shaw the tribe or the ethnicity of the person. He said number 1 is Affar,

2 is jesus community, 3 is borama , four is Carabta , five is Hargiesa community and five is the D.

second he started massive deportation of Borama community which was for independence and Somali unity.

he put electric wire and land mines on the border with Somalia and finally changed the name from French-Somaliland

to Territory of the Affar and Ciisa. many freedom fighters were jailed and executed, Some of you may remeber

DR, Omar Osman Raabe in 1968 convicted to death which latter changed to life in prison in FRANCE.
