History is made. Abdi Warsame wins Minneapolis City Council seat

The timing of Abdi Warsame and Ahmed Hassan's victory is quite interesting as it coincides with a new era of peace and growth for Somalia. This raises the issue-- what is the vision of the Somali Diaspora? Will they stay, assimilate, and gain political footing in their 'new' countries or will they return to Somalia, or even other more suitable African/Muslim countries, as they are now? Will the anticipated return by at least some Somalis hinder the assimilation process for the rest?
