What is nowadays presented as the modern "valentines" day was infact a Christian day to remember and honour a "Saint Valentine" or Valentinus, a number of 14 cristian 'martyrs' of ancient Rome. This honouring of these Cristian martyrs has been done on the 14 of Feb since time immemorial; this used to include a large feast
. Later there was an addition, as is not surprising in the irrational christian norms
, of an element of 'celebrating' 'love'. Interesting not ?

As opposed to rational religious traditions?

i will create a Oba appreciation thread. in the thread, i will publicly apologies to you as a form of xaal marin. you will then post on the thread and accept my apology. = friends again, an end to your wounded ego and my out of place opinionated tirades against you, which i'm deeply regretfully off. is that okay?

life is too short to create enemies and you're too important of a friend to lose. i have the deepest felt respect for you, Oba and you know that. i'm not ashamed to say this because i care. :P

A good relationship has a small celebration day every week, a medium one every year and a massive one every two years, like going to Al-Andalus, or Istanbul, or Tokyo, or Dubai, somewhere new, somewhere exotic. If you have kids below the age of 5; dump them with your close relatives, and only let them join when they are above 5.

That will keep the marriage fresh and exciting.

It is interesting how keeping the marriage fresh and exciting entails the spending of money and for it to be "romantic" it has to be the guys money somaaha
