Dervish the guy is not politician he doesnt know what this means, let him be!!! The u.k has always been anti-puntland and there was not much of a relationship there between us however that appears to be changing. Puntland already has staunch friends in yemen-libya-america-dubai. However the u.k and italy are relationships are improving which is an added ally on-top of our respective friends.

America funds the PIS

Dubai Funds Marines

Libya Has always supported us since the 70s

Yemen is staunch ally who supplies us weapons

Welcome on-board the U.K and Italy to the future oil producing state of Puntland. Potential future allies we are working witth to establish better relations with are turkey and kuwait.

As faysal ali waraabe put it "puntland way la janqaday calaamka".

Iidiots dont understand how Puntland not already has its own friends but is expanding that puntland club to other nations. Excellent international relations from Dr.Farole. I think we will see a stronger relationship between Puntland and Malaysia also in the near future.

In other words for the not so politically astute puntland has 4 nations as good friends America(PIS funder, American senator), Dubai(marine funder), Libya(SSDF ally), Yemen(weapon supplier) on her side and now is establishing a good relationship with the U.K and Italy as seen from their high delegative visits last year. Plus its working on Turkey and Kuwait.

So the Puntland stats look like this

Friendly States: America, Dubai, Libya, and Yemen

Emerging Relationships: UK and Italy

Enemy states: Djibouti, Egypt, France however we have good developmental ties with egypt they works at our schools and hospitals but as far as politically their mogadishu centric and its well known why abdiqasim calls it home. As for jabuti and france which are interlinked we dont have any ties what-so-ever its mogadishu club over there and I dont see that changing in the near future however after the oil comes out and all the nations support puntland they will be forced to be friendly

Neutral States: Kenya and Ethiopia they support anyone whenever it suits them however kenya seems to be leaning towards azania for now.

Possible Future Friends: Turkey and Kuwait. However Turkey seems at this stage more politically leaning towards mogadishu however has developmental ties with Puntland. Kuwaiti is up for grabs between Puntland and Somaliland who went there recently we will see who gets what from it to decide which side they go for.

There is no other way a politician can look at this and not say what faysal ali waraabe said. However those on SOL are not politicians

The Brits sudden interest in Somalia and specially in Puntland is nothing but greed, perhaps they are smelling oil, other natural resources and the long coast that's access to vast and strategic sea waters.

We need to lift up our profile internationally and the oil will do that, so will the piracy. We can then advise those nations of what our policies are in Somalia and our reasoning behind it and they will also shape their policies in that effect. This is excellent news
