A lesson we can all learn from what happened to Farmajoo....

Just as an observation and opinion..

There are many educated, young Somalis in the Diaspora who want to come to Somalia and take part in the politics of the nation, they come with noble purpose and sometimes a touch of arrogance as they regale you with stories of best practices in the organisations they work/used to work for, they have come to save the day....

Little do they realize who they will be dealing with, a mass of uneducated, tribalist, clannist, poor, and full of cuuqdad nation, lead by venal, corrupt, tribalist, remotely unpatriotic criminals, who are there to cheat, steal, and murder any attempt at the rise of our Somali people's anyway they can!!

Three things are probably going to happen to you if you are one of the aforementioned

[And I have seen this to happen to some close people since the TFG was created in 2004]:

- People smile in your face and allow you your wet dreams and pie charts, your blueprints and action plans, whilst they laugh behind your backs, and intepret every fart you might let go of as support of one or the other clan position, maybe you might if you are lucky get a chance to do something like Farmajoo, but be under no illusions at the very first opportunity, you will be told in no unclear terms to cut the nonsense and bounce, there is some one more amenable and lee high falutin to take your place.

[Case in point Mohamed Abdullahi "Farmajoo"]

- You might try your best running around for a couple of years in Hamar, Nairobi, Kampala e.t.c maybe get a couple of quotes on reauters even a guest position on Universal as you try to explain basic common sense to a snaggle toothed ******** who was either a deputy assistant District commissioner in Siad Barre's regime, or a minster during salbaalar, finally when you realize what sort of comprimises need to be made to actually affect things [from choosing a foreign patron, to beating the qabiil drum, to being the most obstructionist creation of God on earth] either because you are too proud, too religious, to depressive you will start pulling out of the whole political show, and return to your little Foreign enclave and watch as your life counts down to its end as a refugee and an immigrant [and as such irrelevant].

- Or you might get tired of it all, watching fools and people you despise get the jobs, the money, the respect, the fawning that Somali's reserve for the niin belayo of the tolka, and you will make the decision to "never ever sleep hungry again", so you put on the rouge and the fish net stockings and go prostitute your self to the foreign patron, to the unreasonable stances of the cuuqdad filled qabiil, you flow to where ever the center of power is and maybe one day if you are lucky enough you will be the hard headed obstructionist that people respect, who is ever more dangerous because this group are more educated and made a decision to die on the good side of their foreign tuulo along time ago.

[Case in point Prof.Gandhi, Mustaf Duxulow e.t.c].

You are just better off starting an NGO...who would argue that the TNG/TFG has done more than those lady doctors in Ceelasha Biyaha???

^The "jug-soo dhacday" are not as innocent as you portray up there yaa sahbi. If they don't the plum jobs or get sacked, they give the two finger salute to the country bounce back where they came from. Galaydh is notorious for this kind of behaviour.
