A Somali female business owner arrested for defrauding $4 million from the government.

Minneapolis, Mn.
The Ramsey County Attorney's Office says day care owners defrauded the government out of $4 million dollars and have charged 4 people with a combined 96 felonies.

The announcement comes nearly two years after the Fox 9 Investigators first reported details about the DEQO Family Centers, located in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Apple Valley. The stories detailed how the centers employed some mothers of its daycare children who qualified for state funded child care. The program helps low-income parents pay their child care costs who are working.

Nin-Yaaban,

Say that which is good or say nothing.

Many have already told you that this practice of publicizing and shaming fellow human beings is ignorant. You and those who support this thread are using the same justifications used by rumor mills who profit off gossip and fear.

You are better than that.

These are people accused of crimes. None have been convicted. They are irrelevant to any of the discussions that we hold here. Their misfortune is not to be ridiculed. Rather, they deserve your prayer and well wishes.

The MODS should also know better. Delete this thread. It serves no useful purpose but to fulfill the illicit desire to look into the lives of others.

If you do not delete this thread, be careful of the day that your small mistakes will be broadcast to the entire world for no purpose but to entertain those whose minds are darkened with boredom and self-hate.

Peace.

Toronto police say six males with alleged ties to the Dixon Bloods gang have been arrested in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Malcolm Marfo.

The arrests came after search warrants were executed at a number of residences in the area of Dixon Road and Kipling Avenue early Thursday morning. Police say one suspect is still outstanding.

The suspects, who police say were all physically present during the shooting, are facing charges of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The shooting took place just hours after 21-year-old Ahmed Siyad was wounded by gunfire at the same Etobicoke address.

“If it is proven in court that the motive was out of retaliation, I would suggest that the individual that died that day had nothing at all to do with the events that occurred earlier in that building," Insp. Greg McLane told reporters during a news conference at police headquarters on Thursday morning.

“He was in a stairwell and confronted by the group. It could have been mistaken identity. There is a number of things that could have occurred. I don’t know what was in the mindset of the individuals that are responsible for this."

Police say Lioban Hussein, 20, Mohamed Omar, 26, Saieed Hagi, 20, Sharmarke Farah, Ali Mohamed Isse, 21, and one youth who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act were arrested and charged this morning. An arrest warrant has been issued for Hanad Farah, 21, in connection with the murder.
