Medley of extemporanea Posted July 6, 2002 Event Type: Error Event Source: WinMgmt Event Category: None Event ID: 41 Date: 7/5/2002 Time: 11:37:18 AM User: N/A Computer: Server1 Description: WMI ADAP was unable to create object index 2476 for Performance Library NTDS because no value was found in the 009 subkey Event Type: Error Event Source: WinMgmt Event Category: None Event ID: 37 Date: 7/5/2002 Time: 11:37:19 AM User: N/A Computer: Server1 Description: WMI ADAP was unable to load the perfproc.dll performance library due to an unknown problem within the library: 0x0 I get these in the Windows 2000 Sever application log on startup. Event 41 that I know is with the following Syntax: Event Type: Error Event Source: WinMgmt Event Category: None Event ID: 41 Description: ADAP was unable to process the file name performance library due to a time violation in the collect function But generally the cause of those Events to occur is because either there may be a problem in the counter, or there may be a false-positive return value in the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Performance Library dredger. If there is a false-positive return value in the WMI Performance Library dredger, in certain situations, the dredger may incorrectly determine that a library is invalid even though the counter works correctly.
