Kismayo ruler, Mr. Barre Adan Shire (Hirale) left Mogadishu in a hurry this morning after a UN staff member was fatally shot in Kismayo yesterday evening. The motive behind the murder of Mr. Mohamud Muse Gurage who was walking to his home at the time of the shooting is not yet known.

Although Kismayo city, somalia’s third largest city has been relatively safe and stable for sometime, frequency of clashes between police and armed groups in the city increased in the past two weeks after Mr. Shire went to Mogadishu for national matters. He is now back in Kismayo and promised to do whatever it takes to bring those behind the killing of the UN staff member to justice.

Kismayo regional administration is asking the UN and other international humanitarian organizations not to be alarmed by this incident and to keep working in the region .

"Kismayo ruler, Mr. Barre Adan Shire"

He holds the Title but does he really hold the power in Kismayo? OR is there a shadow over the true ruler of Kismayo.

Over-all Barre Hirale is learning politics very well. Once he does he will no longer be in the middle of anything but will take a side.

Some say Barre Hirale is under a leash and can't take sides even if he wanted to. But i don't think so.

What Do you Guys think.
