Taqwa Posted April 27, 2002 Salamau Alaikum Although the blessings can be received just by verbally reciting or listening to the verses of the Quran. It is imperative on us when the Quran has come for our guidance to jannah, to try and understand the context and the meaning of the verses. I must remind you that when the Quran is recited, its recommended to recite it in your best voice, if someone listens to it and finds joy in the recitation, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Kowneyn Posted April 27, 2002 The rhythm is part of the miracle of Quraan specially when recited beautifully. The Quraan is a whole package meant to move you to higher concious of existence. Its supposed to change your state of existence. Its best to view it in such manner not as a musical composition but as the mercy of Allaah to his creatures. Its meant to heal your heart from evil and impurity. Those who are purified it becomes the spirit of their soul.
