It was a little intimidating being there at the start ( Somaliland is an unrecognised state ) but I found a people consumed with demonstrating their civility and peacefulness, in very testing circumstances. Having been there and spent time with the Somalilanders , I believe Somaliland deserves International Recognition of its Independence and that Countries that will not accept the de facto separation from the mess that is Somalia need to be pressed for a fuller explanation as to why they wont support 20 years of peaceful growth in a very difficult region.
