RedSea Posted July 9, 2008 Abu Mansur talked about the killing of Osman Ali Ahmed, head of UNDP in Mogadishu two nights ago saying that “we condemn those behind his killing and we have a feeling that those behind his killing had special interest in his death or had projects which he (the deceased) refused to approve” said Abu Mansur who added that they have nothing to do with the killings of those serving residents in Mogadishu. Peace Action Posted July 9, 2008 Of all the things shabaab has done the worest and most lasting will be assassinations. They have claimed assissinated many people including civilians sych as judges, civl servants even participants of Mogadishu peace conference. They are the only group who openly boasted of assissinations, so who will believe them when they deny it. Some even proclaimed that this in revenge for Ayro. In all the years in civil war, this has never happened. Even when prominent prisoners were captured, they were eventually let go. Of courses thousands died in these unfortunate wars. The problem for al-shabaab is that they have started what somalis call dilal qorshaysan, the question is who is going to be safe when peace comes. Remember Somalis are known for revenge killing and do who will tell the son of the assissinated not to seek revenge tomorrow. So the cycle will continue. Resistance Posted July 9, 2008 ^ So u are implying they did this assisination and yet u are how they have claimed to assissinating others which leads us to us beleive that if do they carry out such killing they admit and say it was us. Dude Shabaab have an ideology ( not that we all agree with it ) and anytning they do will be based on that ideology, so they can accused of killing of goverment officals and others who openly support it but never neutrols.
