The Republic of Somaliland Implements Visa on Arrival Policy

A press release issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airports Development of the Republic of Somaliland announced the implementation and strengthening of the Visa on Arrival policy. This policy enables all travelers to Somaliland to obtain visas upon arrival at Egal International Airport in Hargeisa and other airports across the country.

The main objective of this policy is to facilitate business travel, tourism, humanitarian activities, and to boost the national economy.

The statement also clarified that entry into Somaliland will not be permitted with visas or entry permits issued by entities outside the official Immigration Authorities of the Republic of Somaliland.

Finally, all airlines operating in Somaliland have been instructed to disseminate this policy to all their stations and inform all incoming passengers accordingly.
