Bomb hits Kebridahar Town in the O'gaden Region,

The blast happened a hotel in Kebridahar district,an independent news confirmed that The attack took place shortly after Ethiopian intelligence come to Hotel and asked people their identifications, Local People believe that Ethiopian security was behind the Bomb explosion.

 

An eyewitness was quoted as saying that, first we see Ethiopian Police and Military then after five minute explosion hit the hotel ,I see two people dead and six wounded.

 

asked whether the Ethiopian security was in the Hotel During the explosion, the eyewitness said no, they left before explosion happen.

 

The region is isolated, and Journalists are not allowed to travel in O'gaden without an escort and have been arrested and expelled from the country for doing so. The ONLF accuses government forces of stopping food aid and commercial supplies from reaching their strongholds, putting thousands of drought-afflicted civilians at risk of starvation.

 

Kebridahar is among one of O'gaden regions where, Ethnic Somali People live in, It is big city which has more historic armed revolution in the History of O'gaden Region.

 

ONLF, established in 1984 demands for the autonomy of this region, and claimed responsibility for several attacks since the beginning of 2007.

 

The ONLF started since 2007 to carry out attacks aimed at the quality of the Ethiopian occupation forces in the O'gaden region of Ethiopia, which the government considers region under the new federal system followed by the country after a coup against the Mengistu regime, and Meles Zenawi to power.

 

The area of the O'gaden region at least about 400 thousand square kilometers, live nearly four to five million people.
