Servility and conformity, as a moral failure, in the act of being beholden to a political ideology, even when proven to be dangerously wrong. Case in point: criminal atrocities in Las Anod, wrongs against GXJS, the struggle of reer Awdal, the infamous MoU to name a few. You fail to see validity in any of those, for you are subservient to a political ideology, which goes against the public good (principle) for the people.

Masha Allah, nicely put, very eloquent, the issue of secession, they will make stories, true or fictional, grievances, real or perceived, or even fabrication, exaggeration, to further their agenda,

You have understood and identified their issue very well.

Many people, from South, fail to grasp this or many times are even persuaded or fell for this misinformation by separatist, or sometimes too preoccupied with Mogadishu politics, greed,  or incompetence,  BUT with Goojacade, SSC issue, Awdal ,and now the Somali sea, it is becoming very clear, these guys are dangerous to Somali people.

There are only few options left.

  • Let go of secessionist enclave, secessionists clearly understand now, SSC, will never be part of them, so as Maakhir who have now cemented with PL, Also remove Awdal. Habro territory only can form a country, it is big enough.
  • Make a real deal , focus and pay attention, give them a deal they cannot refuse, this may not work, as Somali Presidents are not very reliable partners too, very big trust issue, for example, they meant to get some share of the resources coming from ICAO, but instead of trust building, Mogadishu took everything, this is multiplied many times over,  offer a good deal,  Canada style
  • Tigray , Tamil tigers, Spain, Catalonia, etc,  defeat them, this is very likely scenario,
  • Possible implosions, very likely too, as the Somalilanders are doing big injustices to themselves too

Somalia is now no longer a threat to Somaliland there is nothing Somalia can do to deter Somaliland  from its rightfull path. Somaliland isnt catalonia or  Tigray or tamil Tigers or anything like that Somaliland was a country of its own which joined another country to create Super country called the Somali republic. Catalonia was always part of spain tigray is the heart land of Ethiopia always was ,,  The tamil issue is a very shaky and difficult isssue because it stems from an era of different ethnic back ground fighting to surive. Somaliland case is very similar to Eritrean case  and to lesser extend the South sudanese case . There wont be any deals between Somalia and Somaliland  that ship has sailed koonfurians dont honer the agreements they

signed  its not gonne happen ina bixii stopped the useless talks with the koonfurians

As for ssc  and when i say ssc i mean the garaad clan not the actuall 3 regions and the buhoodle districtwe havent lost anything worth worrying about for our national security  it was shown that in history nobody can defeat us in our own turf. Afweyne tried to use galla somali aboow his kin the big foot community the Awdal community  the garaad clan . non of that worked  Do u know why i wont tell u why . Because they are not threat to us xita haday isi soo wada raacaan they are not a threat.  another issue it is very unlikely for the bunker president if he is a hagite how much they hate Somaliland quest for statehood to fight  Somaliland ,  the garad clan was fighting to free it self from Somaliland well fine they are not going to fight us on our turf that would be sucidal inta yar ay leeyihin ba laga qaadaya and if the war turns tribal ooh then all bets are off  haday qolo qolo noqoto qawaanaata la isku helayo , laan laan way ka baxday. and ur last point  there is nothing the duriyada have a social contract  stronger then anything the bond between brothers  most likely ciiro will succeed ina bixi in the next elections and the  qori isku dhiib shall continue

Very kind of you.  You raised very good points of how best move forward, and I think under the right leadership, a viable solution is nearer than ever, and the more stable and capable FGS institutions get, the weaker the hand of SL, and eventually its bargaining chips shall have been diminished, which will make harmonisation much easier. Again, under the right leadership.

Addendum:
I am actually of the view of adopting the China-Hong Kong-Taiwan approach, where we let political configurations as it, till comes the time, where confidence and mutual public good had been had in all concerned parties in the Somali peninsula. No need for rushed or forced solutions, just let matters take their natural course. Things are rapidly changing for the better.

SSC-Khatumo leader warns Ethiopia against sending troops to SSC areas
Thursday March 7, 2024

Las Anod (HOL) - The leader of the newly formed SSC-Khatumo administration, Abdikhadir Ahmed Aw-Ali Firdhiye, has issued a warning to the Ethiopian government against interfering in the internal affairs of Sool, Sanag, and Ain areas, collectively known as SSC-Khatumo.

Addressing thousands of people in Las Anod town on Thursday, the leader stated that his administration had received reports indicating that Ethiopian troops were being deployed to the SSC areas to support Somaliland troops.

"We cannot accept this; we categorically reject it. We are accountable for our people and our territory. We refuse any external forces to interfere or attack us, and we will resist it," declared Firdhiye, the leader of SSC-Khatumo.

Mr. Firdhiye instructed his troops to remain on high alert and prepared for any potential incursion from Somaliland.

On Monday, Somaliland's Minister of Defense, Dr. Roble Muse Abdi, hosted the Ethiopian embassy's military attaché and other senior Ethiopian army officers at his office in Hargeisa. The officials discussed various aspects of security cooperation and ways to strengthen the bilateral relationship.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed signed a memorandum of understanding with Somaliland President Muse Bihi in Addis Ababa on January 1, granting Ethiopia access to the sea.

However, Somalia, along with the AU, IGAD, EU, Arab League, Turkey, and the US government, has rejected the Red Sea access agreement between Ethiopia and the breakaway region of Somaliland, arguing that it violates Somalia's sovereignty.

Somalia has insisted that there can be no mediation in the dispute with Ethiopia unless Addis Ababa cancels its controversial deal with the breakaway region of Somaliland.
