Thanks for the links.I'm alittle bit confused over what Nur said.

 

He seems to be saying at one time its permissible to donate an organ or blood at the same time he adds on that u'r responsible for whatever the other person does with u'r organs like drinking alcohol etc.

 

I think he like many islamic scholars is using what i call "the logic of reservation".

 

Organ donation in islam, is not a black and white thing.Hence the need to interepret the quran and to some extent give opinion based on our knowledge of Islam.

Nur here has too options.He can say there is nothing wrong with helping others and endorse something was consequences he is not sure even though there is no direct ayah in the quran that says "organ donation is haram" or he can play save and say we should be careful and avoid organ donation at all.With the latter neither you(the potential donor) nor the person who is giving you advice (nur in this case)will get any sin by not donating an organ.
